Activated Faith

Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing. Ephesians: 2: 7-10 The Message Bible

Activated Faith Influences Others

God has called me to be “His Influencer” to yield my life to Him and His navigation. This is why sometimes I will share with you from my personal God Adventures of growth, because I know God can use my life, as I grow through to impact and influence your life for good. Today I was reading  Matthew 14:27-33 and God spoke to my heart about changes I needed to make, and how to make them. I hope sharing my personal journey influences you by the power of His Holy Spirit, to change it up to be more like Jesus. I pray for us all to have an activated faith that dances with the truth of God from every moment into every choice. Faith is a gift from God, and we should use it, activate it, as we believe God, trust God, and act like we do.

Jesus: Be still. It is I. You have nothing to fear. Peter: Lord, if it is really You, then command me to meet You on the water. Jesus:  Indeed, come. Peter stepped out of the boat onto the water and began walking toward Jesus.  But when he remembered how strong the wind was, his courage caught in his throat and he began to sink. Peter: Master, save me! Immediately Jesus reached for Peter and caught him. Jesus: O you of little faith. Why did you doubt and dance back and forth between following Me and heeding fear? Then Jesus and Peter climbed in the boat together, and the wind became still. And the disciples worshiped Him.Disciples: Truly You are the Son of God. The Voice Matthew 14:27-33

Personal Fidelity… Grow In It…

My thoughts about this verse are: Exactly! The truth is that I do the same, I dance back and forth between following God and heeding to my personal fear. Do you do this dance? It is a shuffle from faith to fear.  The personal fidelity God has towards me, it never fails. My fidelity, needs a lot of work, it is not strong and steady like God’s is. When I step into God’s Lane, I stumble and fall into all kinds of  human condition. I need to stay out of  “God’s Lane”, I need to let be, and let God navigate my life. Serving no power higher than self, this doesn’t end well, it has that sinking effect like Peter experienced from walking on water, to sinking into the deep and being overcome by fear.   I need to stay in my own lane. Yes, self-focus will always cause us to sink into the seedy side of our human condition. In contrast, a God focused life is the opposite choice, not on self, but on God first, and will cause us to experience the miraculous in our daily Great God Adventures.

The Dance Of Faith

Today after musing on Matthew 14:27-22, I realize that I need to call into remember that God is enough. It is time to stop shuffling my feet and stand still and know He is God. Keep my focus on Jesus, and my future center of attention, as His Kingdom. It should be my goal to keep my mind anchored in His Word, His truth, and His promises. I should be dancing, not the dance Peter danced as He sunk into the water because of a lack of doubt, but the dance of faith, an activated faith by the power of my heart to heart connection with God. Everyday it should be the cry of my heart, each morning I should pray: “LORD… activate my faith!” Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement video and activate your faith:
