Ceasefire

As a prisoner of the Lord, I plead with you to walk holy, in a way that is suitable to your high rank, given to you in your divine calling. With tender humility and quiet patience, always demonstrate gentleness and generous love toward one another, especially toward those who may try your patience. Be faithful to guard the sweet harmony of the Holy Spirit among you in the bonds of peace, 4being one body and one spirit, as you were all called into the same glorious hope of divine destiny. For the Lord God is one, and so are we, for we share in one faith, one baptism, and one Father. And he is the perfect Father who leads us all, works through us all, and lives in us all! Ephesians 4:1-6

Beware Of “holiday” Distraction

In the Christmas season we human beings in our human condition tend to get distracted from our walk with God and strife happens in our relationships. Because we have too much on our plate, and our hustle-bustle meter is on high, we are not aware of all the strategies of the enemy, and before we know it the enemy of our soul has created a active hostility and out of a friend or a loved one as strife happens, and the flesh out of our pride gets louder as fingers get pointed, and unconditional love and grace gets trampled under foot. This is why we need to beware of the holiday distractions of the enemy of our soul, so we don’t fall into the trap he has set for us. Stay focused on Jesus, the Truest Christmas Gift and stay strong in His Word. Be so, like the living Word of God.

Trapped By An Enemy Bustle- Been Hustled?

The enemy loves to seek out who he can devour,(1 Peter 5:8) searching to and fro for that person enveloped in the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Then the strategy of the enemy zeros in as Fingers pointed, assumptions flying and anger rising is not the way to settle a score that the enemy has made into a crooked place, where you find yourself in opposite boats shooting over the bow at each other.  In this kind of battle, the deceptive strategies fly, the exaggeration, presumption, presuppositions, assumptions, speculations and they fly left to right taking up all the oxygen of love in the relationship and turning it nastily into the race for making their point to where that becomes the goal and compassion and unconditional love is tossed to the wayside. Blame is the truth we begin preaching and lies are what we begin believing. No one wins when the goal is to settle the score! It is a lose-lose situation. This song holds the wisdom for making it to the finish line, side by side.Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video Full Of Godly Relationship Wisdom

“Ceasefire! Fight for a better end and make it to the finish line standing side by side. Ceasefire! No one is perfect, but grace was made for those who don’t deserve it.  It is easy to cast the first stone, but harder to search your own soul. No one ever wins when the goal is to settle the score Teach us how to live humbly and love unconditionally, transform our hurt into hope and grant us Your peace.” Lyrics from Song Ceasefire By King And Country

Christmas With No Christ = MAS

When we take the “Christ” out of Christmas and you have: Mas! Mas a three-letter word which makes for a very good 3 letter description: M-ost A-nnoying S-eason! It can happen so quickly as you react to grouchy people, your bustle is busted by the hustle of the season as your self-control goes out the window. When the enemy of your soul sets you up to be upset, this never ends well, as the enemy sets us up for strife, emotional reactions, and relationship busting. God says: Ceasefire! Oh how we need the humility of the Christ Child to rise up within us so we can humbly….Ceasefire!

Finite Messes

Oh, how we needed this transformation that only The Truest Christmas Gift could give us as we get into these relational messes that no one could clean up but Him. He is the Savior we need. He came to us, He came to transform us into His likeness and to make His Infinite message out of our finite messes. We can Live like Jesus Our Truest Christmas Gift and know the power of humility and meekness it will be a forever transformation for us. Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement video:

Jesus Came Here To Us ~ Never Get Over It!

Jesus Came To Us! Simply-Significantly So, He Came To Us! If we ever get over that, then we will be proud, useless people, incapable of a ceasefire, But if we embrace this truth it will trash our pride into the ground. How could it not when the reality of truth that our Truest Christmas Gift, Jesus Christ the KING of Heaven, He came to us and lived among us as God in the flesh as a tiny, vulnerable baby. Who does that? A King of Heaven, humble, meek and powerful in all of His ways. This King, this Truest Christmas Gift calls for a CEASEFIRE! With the humility of Christ, lay down your perspective, your wanting to be right, and yield to God’s way, truth and life. Be so, like Jesus, the Truest Christmas Gift. ”You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the supple moves of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish—to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. “In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. Your kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.” Matthew 5:43-48 MSG

Here’s another old saying that deserves a second look: ‘Eye for eye, tooth for tooth.’ Is that going to get us anywhere? Here’s what I propose: ‘Don’t hit back at all.’ If someone strikes you, stand there and take it. If someone drags you into court and sues for the shirt off your back, giftwrap your best coat and make a present of it. And if someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life. No more tit-for-tat stuff. Live generously. Matthew 5:38-42 MSG
