God stretches the northern sky over empty space and hangs the earth on nothing. He wraps the rain in his thick clouds, and the clouds don’t burst with the weight. He covers the face of the moon, shrouding it with his clouds. He created the horizon when he separated the waters; he set the boundary between day and night. The foundations of heaven tremble; they shudder at his rebuke. By his power the sea grew calm. By his skill he crushed the great sea monster. His Spirit made the heavens beautiful, and his power pierced the gliding serpent. These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Taking Things For Granted?
How is it that we finite beings do not stand in Awe of our Infinite God, Who created such incredible awe inspiring, multifaceted beauty? We have drifted away from the Creator by worshipping the creation, serving finite over Infinite. Have you stood on the beach and gazed upon the horizon? I have. Do I take it for granted? I do. All the amazing things that God has done and we see none of them with the face value of Creator Awe. We are so distracted by all things us. How can we change this up? How can we develop our Awe of God and see things with the correct reverence?
Change It Up To Awe-GOD Gratefulness
It is my hope this year to keep a journal, an daily Awe-God journal, where at the end of each day I write something amazing I experienced in my day about God. Connect with God heart to heart, paying attention to Him first and foremost, this is the change I need. Stop being distracted from eternal things by temporal things. I hope to become more aware of all things God, and less aware of the worldly viewpoint. More of Him, less of me. The downpours where the rain comes in sheets, yet the cloud, carrying it, stays together. This is an Awe-GOD moment. I hope not to miss these awe God moments anymore. Pray It Up ~ Awe-God Gratefulness
AWE-GOD Gratefulness! I am so grateful today for the Sovereign Will of God, which is His Good Purpose to “grow me” through my current life season, together with Him, heart to Heart in personal, vital-vertical relationship. I am thankful for the purposes of God in play in my life. I am grateful for every challenge He Sovereignly puts in my life path, with amazing preconceived, very purposely designed Kingdom growth for me. Thank you Lord God, that everything in my life has your “Master Touch” of God Purpose weaved into it. I am so grateful with every challenge there is Kingdom Purpose and with every “Divine Appointment” in this Sovereign season of my life, there is always Infinite Love which is present and active as I grow through the divine appointment of God’s Sovereignty working out my salvation! I am s grateful that You, Lord God finish what you start and finish well! AWE-GOD!
