Quietly He Went

Silent Before His Accusers

Accusations…. So many false accusations, angry words with no truth to back it up and then a grossly exaggerated punishment, for a crime not committed. How did you do it Lord? How did you endure? What made you go to the cross for us. We beat you, wounded you, yet You loved us even though You had been hurt by us. Condemned To Die, You Loved Us As If We Never Falsely Accused You, Precious King of Heaven. I can’t wrap my mind around it! How did You go quietly to the cross and pay for sins You did not commit. I saw you struggle in the Garden Of Gethsemane like a pressed grape in a vice, like an oil press in motion. Your disciples did not even watch with you in this great hour of your pain, they slept, You agonized in the beautiful agony of prayer with your Father God. Jesus Had Sorrow With No Regret

You came to us, You loved, You served wholeheartedly for our good, and poured Your life out for us. You shared real love, it was unconditional, and truth which could not be refuted by trickery or deception, truth that stood on holy ground, and hope that was everlasting. Your hope was hope in the dark, a hope that darkness could never put the light of it out. You loved even though we hurt You, You actually loved like we had never beat You, betrayed You or falsely accused You, and You went to the cross for us. We were wrong, humanity got it so very wrong, and You were right. Jesus, You didn’t even try to defend Yourself. Justice died that night as You went silently with your false accusers, after one of your faithful followers betrayed you with a kiss. I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around the hurt and sorrow of that. I have sorrow with regret, you did not. I can’t even begin to imagine being forsaken by one of Your own with a kiss. If only they had kept watched with You, Your disciples, if only they had shared in your suffering when you asked them: Could you not tarry with me one hour, the betrayer is at hand, wake up! I am sure they had sorrow with deep regret. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video Of This Reality Of Truth Of Our Generation And Read The Description Underneath The Video To Dig Deeper:

No sooner did the high priests and the temple guards see Jesus that they all shouted in a frenzy, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” Pilate replied, “You take him then and nail him to a cross yourselves! I told you—he’s not guilty! I find no reason to condemn him.” The Jewish leaders shouted back, “But we have the Law! And according to our Law, he must die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!” Then Pilate was greatly alarmed when he heard that Jesus claimed to be the Son of God! So he took Jesus back inside and said to him, “Where have you come from?” But once again, silence filled the room. Perplexed, Pilate said, “Are you going to play deaf? Don’t you know that I have the power to grant you your freedom or nail you to a tree?” Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me at all, unless it was given to you from above. This is why the one who betrayed me is guilty of an even greater sin. John 19:6-11 TPT

Meekness – Power Controlled By Sovereignty

It was a chaotic transition when the soldiers came to take the Savior of the world to be crucified. The people did not stand up for Him, even His own disciples, yes Peter, denied Him three times. But the people He loved and cared for yelled: Crucify Him! They were deceived by their leaders, who revered their positions and power over the people and You threatened all that their traditions demanded of them. Those  who did not understand You, Your methods, those who could not accept Your ways, Your truth, betrayed You! The betrayer, being one so close, in your inner circle,  who had been with You as a close family member, sold You out for 30 pieces of silver. How did You bear that? How did You still go to the  cross for them? Lord help us to understand Your incredible meekness, that moment where the power of the Savior was under control of the Sovereign Will of the Father God.

Transference

Jesus, the very thing they falsely accused You of, they did, not You, but them, they deserved to die. They put their sins on You, beat You for their sins. That was a transference of responsibility and accountability, like no other ever paraded in front of humanity. You took a punishment, You did not deserve and You, King of Heaven, were inflicted with a grossly exaggerated punishment and died a horrible, painful death! Yes, falsely accused and condemned by the very ones whose human condition, blamed You for their own human failures, a transference for all the world to see. Our sin, transferred on the Savior of the world. The sin of all those who yelled “crucify Him” their sin was put on Your shoulders as you carried the cross meant for them. You, Jesus, You became the scapegoat for what humanity did. You did nothing wrong, yet our inability to pay our sin debt was transferred to You, and You took it on Your shoulders to the cross. You came here to us, and died for us.

Yielded To God’s Will

How can we wrap our mind and soul around this act of extreme unconditional love? Maybe it starts with the revelation of what happened in the Garden of Gethsemane. What brought you to that place where you surrendered Your will?  They beat You up and bullied You, a transference of all their inner rage against their broken world was taken out against You. You let them humiliate You as their full fledged narcissistic, temper tantrum exploded in grossly exaggerated and cruel punishment. Then You meekly and humbly went to the cross for them. How can we do the same? How can we understand why You accepted that transference and took on the sins of the whole world, bore the cross on Your shoulders. What happened in the Garden of Gethsemane? You walked out of it yielded to God’s Will!? Teach us Jesus! Change us Jesus. You were a servant, make us one too.

How Love Wins

Precious Jesus, King Of Heaven, You had been hurt by humanity that You came here to save. Falsely Accused And Condemned To Die, You Loved Us As If We Never Betrayed You, Beat You, Mocked You, Crucified You. How can we wrap our mind around this. We can’t. This is how love wins.

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed. 1 Peter 2:21-24
