We call (pray for) every lie to be revealed and every lie holding us captive to be destroyed by the blood of Jesus. Ephesians 1:19-23 and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength which He produced in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion [whether angelic or human], and [far above] every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and world but also in the one to come. And He put all things [in every realm] in subjection under Christ’s feet, and appointed Him as [supreme and authoritative] head over all things in the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills and completes all things in all [believers].
Obstacle Course
One of my obstacles in life has been fear of new things. This, in the past, kept me hostage in a limited comfort zone setting many obstacles in my life course. Fear of the unknown, this can be an incredible obstacle course when you are navigated by fear-lies. I never liked change. I believe that my fear that crippled me in the past, was mostly based on fear-lies like assumptions, presuppositions and speculations.
Road Blocks
Assumptions, presuppositions and speculations are all road blocks and keep us off the path of Great God Adventure. On this day, I need to be a person who continually confronts the fear-lie and changes my mind, soul and spirit focus to God’s truth. I can no longer entertain in my mind thoughts that are not wholly-holy true. “What If” thoughts are some of the enemies fear mongering tactics. Irrational fear is not based on truth, and it disrupts the flow of my courage.
Truth Adventures
I don’t have a constant “enemy” focus, but I am not naive, as I fully realize I have a soul enemy and I am not underestimating my enemies shrewd tactics. I glance in the direction of my enemies life disruption, I see and acknowledge my enemies intention, but then I turn away from this focus on the enemy, and fully face God, seeking after Him and His Truth. It is then I replace the fear-lie of the enemy with the truth of God. I know this vital-vertical relationship with God changes me, making me a more courageous person. God’s truth always paves the way for the courage needed for new things, and the active faith to step into the Great God Adventure of leaning into His Truth. Dig Deeper
So, in light of my current soul struggle with the fear-lies from the new things in my life, I hope the changes in my life, cause me to pursue God more. Teach me Holy Spirit, from Your kingdom perspective, how to take this testing of my life, and see it out of a kingdom perspective, so it has a less of a negative impact on my soul and a more positive growth in my spirit, and an active courage to experience the new God Adventures ahead.
