Have Not – HAVE

A “Flesh Out” Focus

In our human condition the tendency of our flesh is to focus on what we do not have instead of what we do have. The number ONE most incredible thing we have is: “God With Us”! There is no greater “have” on the face of this earth. No matter what is going on in our lives, we “have” Jesus, God with us. God kept His promise to us and He delivered us from eternal death by the sacrificing of His Son, Jesus, the perfect blemish free offering made unto God for our sins. Jesus came to us, Jesus died our death so we could live His life.  There is no greater One than Jesus, He is alive in us, and in this personal, vital-vertical relationship, we “have” all we will every need on this side of heaven and we “have” our way to heaven,  and we “have” our forever life in Him. How sweet is that? Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement video and remember, and be deeply encouraged by God.

WE HAVE JESUS: Yet the Lord was willing To crush Him, causing Him to suffer; If He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, And the will (good pleasure) of the Lord shall succeed and prosper in His hand. As a result of the anguish of His soul, He shall see it and be satisfied; By His knowledge [of what He has accomplished] the Righteous One, My Servant, shall justify the many [making them righteous—upright before God, in right standing with Him], For He shall bear [the responsibility for] their sins. Isaiah 53:10-11

Mind Focus

Our mind focus, what we are thinking about, is really important to the well being of our soul. If I have learned anything in my walk with Jesus, it is to develop a kingdom perspective through the living and powerful Word of God, and to live out of this influential kingdom perspective more than I do my worldly viewpoint. We are in this world, yes, this is not disputed, but we are not of this world either. We need to lean into God’s Sovereign Sway, into His Kingdom perspective. It is kind of like, bad things that happen, that are ushered in by the enemy of our soul, or that are from our bad choices, we can fix our eyes on them as our focal point. I am not saying ignore all the bad things or ignore evil, or pretend we don’t have an enemy. No. We have to live in reality of truth. We don’t ignore evil or bad things, we can glimpse, see them, recognize the evil, and then turn our eyes off of them to fixate on Jesus.  It is the wrong choice to focus on all the “have nots” and to go off on bunny trails of fret, displeasure, complaining, dissatisfaction and grumbling. We do see the temporary condition of “have nots” yet, we see it in the light of what we do “Have” which is permanent. Our “Have” is Jesus. He is our enough.

Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God’s word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. The things which you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things [in daily life], and the God [who is the source] of peace and well-being will be with you. Philippians 4:8-9

God Loves Us Well

In the midst of all the “have nots” we seem to be focused on more and more in this life season of cultural chaos, we “have a HAVE”, He is a Way-Maker, He is a Provider, He loves us well. There is nothing that God can’t do for us, there is nothing He can’t provide us, there is nothing that He doesn’t know. That is the coolest thing about our God. Sometimes we have no clue about the direction of even our next step. GOD KNOWS! There is no clarity in times such as these, deception is a fog in our culture. It is hard to know the next right step and sometimes our “have not” is the chart for our course. Yet, we do HAVE the best Navigator in the universe, God’s Holy Spirit. When you don’t know, ask God! Jesus is our “Have” that trumps every single “have not” that we can think to complain about. So why even grumble, why not just pray and ask God for what we need and wait, watch, and see Him deliver in that way only He can. God disrupts our chaos with His Shalom as He navigates us out of the jungle of chaos to His peace. Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement video and be stilled in your soul with the wisdom of God.

Our God Is Crazy Good

We may not like God’s methods that bring us down narrow paths, jungles full of the prickers of “have not”.  But in the heavenly hindsight of our lives, all of the plans we have made that have been thwarted by God, He has done a better thing for us than we could even begin to hope for or imagine. God changes things up. Our God is a “crazy good” Navigator, and He can chart our course through all the jungles of  “have nots” right out of the cultural chaos, into smooth shalom sailing. He is so good at disrupting the enemy’s chaos that flows in with our “have nots” and bringing about a purposeful, amazing end game for us. Yes, despite all of our “have nots” we HAVE the greatest and most amazing Awe-GOD Redeemer, Who has taken the main “have not” of life: “death”, and transformed it into the HAVE of eternal life. There is no “have not” that will prosper, in our lives as we trust Him to change it up to a HAVE all things in Christ, the hope of glory. God bless ya. Ah Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too difficult or too wonderful for You— You who show lovingkindness to thousands, but repay the wickedness (sin, guilt) of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them [that is, calling the children to account for the sins of their fathers], O great and mighty God; the Lord of hosts is His name; great [are You] in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of men, to reward or repay each one according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds; Jeremiah 32:17-19
