Hopelessness To Hope

For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you, says the Lord, plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call on Me and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear [your voice] and I will listen to you. Then [with a deep longing] you will seek Me and require Me [as a vital necessity] and [you will] find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:11-13

Road Blocks And Dead Ends

Have you felt the darkness of hopelessness? I am thinking many of us have at different seasons of our life. Yes, many of us have stared at a roadblock and knew a dead end was ahead, one we could not avoid. Hopelessness, it steals our focus putting it on the situation taking it off of God, and it spirals our soul to a dark place. Hopelessness is seen on our countenance, felt in our body, and experienced in our spirit as doubt, despair, disillusionment, discouragement, and eventually soul depression.

“Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: You don’t give up.” -Anne Lamott

Breaking Free Of Hopelessness

Do you want to break free from hopelessness? Do you want to yank out hopelessness in your soul from the root? Hopelessness happens when we are serving no power higher than self. Yes, This is true. We wanted things to go our way, we don’t understand the methods of the Lord, so we grumble, complain and we express discontentment. This distrust of God, opens our mind wide to the devil and all of his ways, all of his lies, trickery, and schemes to steal, kill, and destroy our joy, and our peace. Gratefulness is the path back to peace and hope. Begin now with a sacrifice of praise to our God. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video

Will We Yield?

Joy and peace, two very important things for our soul and spirit. Joy is the strength of inner spiritual core, and peace is the calm assurance of our soul, and without these two very important gifts of God, we have chaos and confusion, and these two devilish soul-torturing and mind altering things are the devil’s playground and we, no doubt about it, surrounded by doubt, fear, dread, confusion and hopelessness, we are on that playground with the enemy of our soul. So, as we can see, hopelessness, the lack of activated hope in our lives, it comes full circle back to one little choice… will I yield to God? Could you not tarry with me one hour? You are willing but your spirit is weak. Will you not yield to Me? When we know no power higher than self, and we walk pridefully by the light of a man made fire, it will flame out, and we will end up sitting in a dark torment of soul. (Isaiah 50:10-12)

Meanwhile, Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant girl came over and said to him, “You were one of those with Jesus the Galilean.” But Peter denied it in front of everyone. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said. Later, out by the gate, another servant girl noticed him and said to those standing around, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth. ” Again Peter denied it, this time with an oath. “I don’t even know the man,” he said. A little later some of the other bystanders came over to Peter and said, “You must be one of them; we can tell by your Galilean accent.” Peter swore, “A curse on me if I’m lying—I don’t know the man!” And immediately the rooster crowed. Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he went away, weeping bitterly. Matthew 26:69-75

Shake Off Hopelessness

To shake off the hopelessness that has depressed  our soul, that has a stronghold of negative thoughts in our mind, that has bound up the freedom of our spirit, we yield to God, to His way, to His truth, to His life. Yielding to God’s methods, we surrender what we “think we know” about how God should do things. Remember this: God sent His only Son here, to us as a human being, incarnate, God in the flesh, and He sent Him to die on a cross, paying our sin debt, so we could live eternally with Him. The endgame was fantastic, the method to get there was nothing we could have ever imagined God doing. God’s ways are not our ways. Yield TO GOD. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video On Hope:

“Remember Whose you are and Whom you serve. Provoke yourself by recollection, and your affection for God will increase tenfold; your imagination will not be starved any longer, but will be quick and enthusiastic, and your hope will be inexpressibly bright.” -Oswald Chambers

Power Under Control

In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus wrestled in prayer, knowing the way of the cross He was to take was paved with suffering. The road to the cross was upon Him and as He prayed through, yielding to His Father God’s plan, He sweat drops of blood. This medical condition is the highest form of stress. Jesus pressed through and yielded to God, entrusted His life to the Father God, believed His Father knew what was best, what needed to be done and that this horrific way, He was destined to take, this humiliating, painful death on a cross, was the way to life for us all. He yielded, submitted His life to His Father’s plan, to the method of sacrificial suffering, trusting the price paid was worth the outcome. Believing in the way His Father had chosen, He meekly, His power under control, surrendered and this led to the greatest transformation ever known to mankind, death to life. Jesus yielded-believed-trusted-hoped and He rose from the dead with Resurrection power like no other.

Then Jesus led his disciples to an orchard called “The Oil Press.” He told them, “Sit here while I go and pray nearby.” He took Peter, Jacob, and John with him. However, an intense feeling of great sorrow plunged his soul into agony. And he said to them, “My heart is overwhelmed and crushed with grief. It feels as though I’m dying. Stay here and keep watch with me.” Then he walked a short distance away, and overcome with grief, he threw himself facedown on the ground and prayed, “My Father, if there is any way you can deliver me from this suffering, please take it from me. Yet what I want is not important, for I only desire to fulfill your plan for me.” Then an angel from heaven appeared to strengthen him. Matthew 26:36-39

Re-establish Trust In God

When we yield to God, and re-establish trust in Him, it activates our faith and hope ignites in that way nothing, and no one could do but God. Yield-Trust-Faith-Hope a beautiful sequence of liberty from the bondage and stronghold of the enemy, as the truth of God sets us free. We were created to yield to the Sovereignty of God, our Omniscient God, Who knows everything, yes absolutely everything! Who better to yield too? What better hope is there in the entire universe than to hope in our God, almighty and powerful, compassionate, merciful and so very good.

“The best we can hope for in this life is a knothole peek at the shining realities ahead. Yet a glimpse is enough. It’s enough to convince our hearts that whatever sufferings and sorrow currently assail us aren’t worthy of comparison to that which waits over the horizon.” Joni Eareckson Tada

God’s Sovereign Sway

When we yield to God, preferring His way over ours, leaning out of our comfortable way, into His Sovereign Sway, our hope is in a power higher than self. Finite fails, Infinite wins as Jesus speaks SHALOM into our soul, disrupting the chaos of our mind, and ushering a wellness into our spirit. There was a time in our human history when our Savior hung on a cross for us, died our death, so we could live His life, and this is our time to stay in followship of this serving Savior, Jesus.

Yield-Trust-Believe

Our Savior, Jesus, is worthy of us yielding our way to Him, bowing our spirit before Him, acknowledging that He is trustworthy, activating our faith, and putting all our expectations in Him. This is the power of hope. Hope is more of God active and alive in us, and less of us stumbling around in our human condition chasing after everything we want. Hope changes us from the inside out, and frees us to become like Jesus, as we step out of our comfort zone and experience Great God Adventure.  Hope in God. How? Bow-Yield ~ Surrender-Trust ~ Believe-Activate Faith, as this is the circle of life for the hope filled child of God! Yield-Trust-Believe=Hope!

Believe Jesus

Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe Jesus? This yielded trust from yourself to God, this shifting of power from self power to being God empowered, is the working out of our salvation by the truth of God, as we yield our way, as we trust God’s methods and as we believe what God said, and activate our faith, putting our hope completely in Him. Friends, Christians, I pray for us to hope in God, to wholly-holy align our lives, heart to heart, soul to soul, spirit to spirit with our God, and place our hope in Him. God bless ya.

Dig Deeper

Later, he came back to his three disciples and found them all sound asleep. He awakened Peter and said to him, “Could you not stay awake with me for even one hour? Keep alert and pray that you’ll be spared from this time of testing. Your spirit is eager enough, but your humanity is weak.” Then he left them for a second time to pray in solitude. He said to God , “My Father, if there is not a way that you can deliver me from this suffering, then your will must be done.” He came back to the disciples and found them sound asleep, for they couldn’t keep their eyes open. So he left them and went away to pray the same prayer for the third time. When he returned again to his disciples, he awoke them, saying, “Are you still sleeping? Don’t you know the hour has come for the Son of Man to be handed over to the authority of sinful men? Matthew 26:40-45
