Missionary Prayer Journey -6

Life Happens

Sweet Missionaries, on mission with Jesus, joy happens, and disappointment happens. They both weave their way through our on-mission life into the situations we encounter with, our world, different cultures, unique people and the choices that human beings make with their free will. We share the most transformational, miraculous message this world will ever know, some people readily grasp it close to their heart and desire to know the Lord and others reject it, and do not want to know our precious Jesus, the only One Who holds their future in His Hands.

Don’t lose your grip on Love and Loyalty. Tie them around your neck; carve their initials on your heart. Earn a reputation for living well in God’s eyes and the eyes of the people. Proverbs 3:3-4

Loyal Love

We know a loyal love, Jesus, the Only one on this side of heaven truly wholly-holy capable of loving this way. There are great high’s and there are lows when we are on mission with Jesus Christ. But even in the face of disappointment in the human condition, we know a selfless love, a love higher than the love of human beings. This loyal love holds us, keeps us on mission with Jesus and brings us, grows us through from disappointment to joy. The love of God, never grows cold in the face of the disappointing human condition. Be so. Like Jesus. Love abundantly, love like you have never been hurt or disappointed. Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video on God’s Loyal Love:

God Our All In All

Acknowledge God in ALL your ways, all of them. He is in the defeats; He is in the victories. He is in the disappointments; He is in the successes. He is in the setbacks; He is in the triumphs. God’s purposes are in play in each and every moment that we experience, good or bad. We see things from a worldly viewpoint, but He is working things out for our good and His glory from a kingdom perspective. Things are not always as they seem and this is why we recognize HIM, in our human viewpoint, that what seems bad, may in His eyes be absolutely good and, on its way, to be a miraculously so.

There will be such an increase of the sin of lawlessness that those whose hearts once burned with passion for God and others will grow cold. But hold your hope firmly to the end and you will experience life and deliverance. “Yet through it all, the good news of heaven’s kingdom will be proclaimed all over the world, providing every nation with a demonstration of the reality of God. And after that the end of this age will arrive. Matthew 24:12-14

Say NO To Surface Relationship

We see things and our emotions respond with elation or disappointment. Trust is patiently enduring past what we see, not leaning into our own understanding, what we think we know, but leaning into God’s Sovereign Sway, the mind and heart of God. This is not surface relationship where we react to what we see with our naked eye, this is going out to the deep with Jesus, not staying on the shore. We can get deeply disappointed in the human nature when we are on mission. People can show us their human condition and it hurts us, the choices they make to step outside of the loyal love, rejecting the ways of God, leaving a path of destruction behind. It can be so disillusioning, so disappointing, when human beings choose no power higher than self, when they have been presented with Jesus, His way, truth and life.

God’s Handwriting On Our Heart

God has written the truth upon our hearts (Hebrews 8:10) and when we are on mission, we see the miracle of this handwriting on the soul of the human condition. We were created in God’s image; this human race has eternity written on their hearts. Nothing erases that. When we are on mission with Jesus, our shared truth, the testimony of our lives, these things will ignite the passion of Jesus already seeded in the hearts of human beings, enlightening their path. Some people will choose to glow that glory which mankind can’t extinguish, and other’s will choose to kindle their own fires (Isaiah 50:10-11) and walk by the light of a man-made fire that will flame out.

Our faith guarantees us permanent access into this marvelous kindness that has given us a perfect relationship with God. What incredible joy bursts forth within us as we keep on celebrating our hope of experiencing God’s glory! But that’s not all! Even in times of trouble we have a joyful confidence, knowing that our pressures will develop in us patient endurance. And patient endurance will refine our character, and proven character leads us back to hope. And this hope is not a disappointing fantasy, because we can now experience the endless love of God cascading into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who lives in us! Romans 5:1-5 TPT

God Never Disappoints Us

We have a tendency to judge people for their choice, instead of loving them through it. When we are on mission with Jesus, we can’t take it personally when people disappoint us by their choices. Confusion is a sign the enemy is at work in a person, changing up their behavior to decisions unfavorable in our eyes, choices that disappoint us. Hope in human beings is very disappointing, hope in Christ, never disappoints us. A human being can never meet all of our needs, only Jesus can. Hope in Jesus Christ plays out in many ways, but it never, never disappoints. We are assured a future and a hope that our Promise Keeper, will bring to pass. No Doubt About It. Listen up to this amazing God-wisdom in this 1 Minute Encouragement Video:

I don’t think the way you think. The way you work isn’t the way I work.” God’s Decree. “For as the sky soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, and the way I think is beyond the way you think. Just as rain and snow descend from the skies and don’t go back until they’ve watered the earth, doing their work of making things grow and blossom, producing seed for farmers and food for the hungry, so will the words that come out of my mouth not come back empty-handed. They’ll do the work I sent them to do, they’ll complete the assignment I gave them. Isaiah 55:8-11

Identity In Christ

If a person makes a very disappointing decision when we are on mission with Jesus Christ, we should not react emotionally, we should respond to God, respond out of the truth we know, not the situation we see. Wounded people hurt people; this is a reality of truth. Yet, there is a stronger reality of truth, that God’s Word does not return void, it will accomplish what it was sent to do. This is where acknowledging God in ALL our ways comes in. People can deeply hurt and disappoint us, there is always evil afoot in every divine appointment in relationships between God and mankind. Our response should be one of integrity. We, being on-mission with God, have truth written on our hearts, and this truth, not our emotional reactions to situations we encounter, this amazing God truth is what should shape our response. This is how we stay in harmony with God and man while on mission in the world, we keep our identity wholly-holy in Christ, a stable, firm foundation, one that is not shaken by the human condition, one that remains faithful in the all of our everything.

Completely We Trust

We, on mission with God, trust in God completely, we never lean into our reactions to a situation, to a person who has disappointed us, hurt us by their reaction to us and our message of truth. ALL is the key word when we are on mission with Jesus, we must be ALL in, giving God total access to our lives. We step past the disappointment, the disillusionment of the human condition, our worldly viewpoint, our opinions to the followship of Jesus Christ, letting Him lead us. Why? because we do not see or know what is completely going on, He does. We only see in part.(1 Corinthians 13:9) This is why we cling to Jesus, we dig our life roots deeply in Him, in the hope that doesn’t disappoint, not judging by what is seen, but staying faithful to the mission of being like Jesus, of being a servant like He is. Choose to be a servant warrior, standing on the side of the truth we know, not reacting to our world, but in humility of heart, responding to the call of God’s Kingdom first.  Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video and be refreshed with God’s wisdom on how to handle human opinions:

So, as God’s own chosen people, who are holy, set apart, sanctified for His purpose and well-beloved by God Himself, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, which has the power to endure whatever injustice or unpleasantness comes, with good temper; Colossians 3:12 Amplified Bible

Jesus-Others-You

This is the healing refreshment, joy, Jesus-Others-You. Knowing the joy of faithfully staying on mission with Jesus Christ through the ups and the downs of this life and, laying it all out on the mission field every day. We pour our lives out each and every day on our mission field of life, no matter if it ends well or ends in disappointment, we stay the same, holding on to the loyal love of Jesus, and being faithful to the truth of God we know, the truth He has written on our hearts. It is this integrity of life, which reflects out of our reputation of living well in every situation we encounter and points to Jesus Christ, as we stay on mission with Him, heart to heart. Pour us out Lord Jesus.

In every relationship be swift to choose peace over competition, and run swiftly toward holiness, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many. Hebrews 12:14-15

Cling To God’s Loyal Love

Hold on to loyal love and don’t let go, and be faithful to all that you’ve been taught. Let your life be shaped by integrity, with truth written upon your heart. That’s how you will find favor and understanding with both God and men— you will gain the reputation of living life well. Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for as you grow through being on-mission with God. The Message Proverbs 3
