Uphill Battle

Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will give you strength, and for sure I will help you. Yes, I will hold you up with My right hand that is right and good. Isaiah 48:10

Battle Weary?

Trudge, trudge, trudge up that hill and do not despise small beginnings because God is in the sweat as we persevere and keep moving in followship of Him. Sometimes God leads us uphill. Sometimes it is hard to follow Him, not knowing exactly where we are going. It is nerve wracking! Ever felt that way? Have you ever said: “Slow down God, I can’t keep up!” Have you ever wondered and asked: “Where are we headed, Lord?” I am just following God one step at a time and I have no clue where He is leading. All the while I am moving forward, I am thinking: “I am not sure I am comfortable with this new direction or the method God is using to move me forward.” Sometimes I really don’t want to obey, I really don’t want to move on. I guess the choice when I get to this point, is either to buck up my will and stop, or take that next step of followship. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video:

Sudden Life Detours

Oh No! A Life Detour Ahead! Sometimes I am not even sure what my next step is? Walking up hill, not knowing what I will meet at the top. I don’t like that… do you? This kind of tracking with God, is way outside my comfort zone. When I am walking uphill for a long period of time, it feels hopeless to me, and I find myself in the shadow of doubt, the shadows of life where there is no sunshine, and I begin despising that sudden detour. With my eyes glued consistently on the detour, I trip up, I stumble, I flesh out, and it is not a pretty sight. Dread has a way of derailing us on the pathway of our life. We need to guard our heart from fear and dread.

Navigator ~ Deliverer

Life can be cra-cra-crazy in the midst of the cultural chaos we have growing on. These times I find myself lost in the shadows of life, knowing I can’t see clearly ahead. Then I get that little burst of soul panic! What should I do? This is a good time for a pause with God. I stop, I pray, and I look from where I have come. Then, I see in my heavenly hindsight, the crooked places God has already made straight, and I see God’s faithfulness, I see that every time I had a trial, He delivered me, He navigated me through, and I know, without a doubt, He is trustworthy to do the same right now. I look up with a grateful heart, and that gratefulness is the path of peace for my soul. When the dust in my soul settles, I see Jesus, so I step out once again in the wisdom I know, in followship of Him. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video and be inspired by God.

I will proclaim the name of the Lord; how glorious is our God! He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!  Deuteronomy 32:3-4

God’s Still Fighting

In the battle, when triumph is still on its way, we choose to praise God, we choose to rejoice. Why, because in every season, God is still with us, no matter what we are growing through, He is still God, still working out our life situations for His glory and our good. Listen Up and be encouraged:

Isaiah 30:21 Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.

Shadows Of Life

In those dark places, the shadowy paths of life, it can be very discouraging and hopelessness can set in our soul. Yet, even in the shadows, God is with us. Yes, even in the shadows of life, the dark places of dead ends, we can stay in followship of God, step by step as He leads us out. He will give us enough light for our next step. We take that next step forward on this day and walk in the wisdom we already know. Because God will make crooked places straight! “This is the way, walk in it…” He will say, and when we follow after Him, He leads us into the SONshine. God delivers us out of all of our shadows and always will be our joy in the shadows of our lives. Awe-GOD!

When his people pray for help, He listens and rescue them from their troubles. The Lord is there to rescue all who are discouraged and have given up hope. The Lord’s people may suffer a lot, but he will always bring them safely through. Psalm 34:17-19
