Truly, How You Finish Is Defined And Somewhat
Destined By The Attitude In Your Inner Spiritual Core
Healing Words~ Listen carefully, my dear child, to everything that I teach you, and pay attention to all that I have to say. 21 Fill your thoughts with my words until they penetrate deep into your spirit. 22 Then, as you unwrap my words, they will impart true life and radiant health into the very core of your being. 23 So above all, guard the affections of your heart, for they affect all that you are. Pay attention to the welfare of your innermost being, for from there flows the wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:20-23 The Passion Translation
I Don’t Like Myself Like This
Wow, there are times when I don’t like myself. Why am I acting like this? I really need to change it up. Then I call an audible: Attitude Check! Attitudes are important and we have to be careful what we let shape our attitudes. What shapes your attitudes? Weather? Sudden Situations? Grouchy People? Unwanted Change? When I am acting in a very “stanky” way, I know something is going on deep within my inner spiritual core that needs to be changed up. When our thoughts are running on the negative side and we feel intensely grouchy and our actions are not so nice as we get snarky with others, then we need an ATTITUDE CHECK. This is a good time to STOP, open our hearts wide to God and let Him make an attitude adjustment, wholly-holy aligned with His heart, way, truth and life. As we submit to God, He is definitely famous for changing things up inside of us, creating a Sonshine in our soul that overflows out of us, changing our heart attitude and transforming our day. Flip-Flop! Just do it. Attitude Check. Change It Up!
Romans 12:1 (amplified) 1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. 3 For by the grace (unmerited favor of God) given to me I warn everyone among you not to estimate and think of himself more highly than he ought [not to have an exaggerated opinion of his own importance], but to rate his ability with sober judgment, each according to the degree of faith apportioned by God to him.
Mind Funks = Attitude Struggle
The times I struggle with my attitude is when my mind gets in a funk. What is a mind funk? It is when I am working overtime trying to figure something out that I will not be able to figure out even if I burn the gears of my find out! Nothing is as I thought it would be. I had a life plan for this life season. I had it all mapped out. Things have changed radically from what I thought they would be like, but I did not change with it. My heart was not transformed by trust, my faith failed the test of this season of change. God is doing something brand new; I am back in the dead dreams of yesterday. A lot of my inability to move in the Sovereign Sway of God when I grew through a difficult time of change in my life, was my attitudes which had been formed by my stanky thinking habits.
Soul Saturated Snark
At times like these when I am enveloped by the enemy’s “snark” because I have opened the door of my mind to bad thoughts, the door of my heart to stanky attitudes, I need to take a step back, back out of my dank stank and bow my heart before God. Submitting my life to God in times such as these is the best choice I can make. God is able to cleanse my heart, mind, soul of the stank of the enemy and restore my soul to the fragrance of God. Attitude Check: Let God check your attitude. We need to be intentional about letting God check our attitudes. Resist the enemy and submit to God. The enemy wants to steal, kill and destroy our good attitudes and replace them with stank and snark. When we lean into bad attitudes, just flow with them, it affects our thoughts in a very negative way, then it translates into a sour soul, which ends up being a snarky action or words, flaming missiles of devalue. This is the enemy’s plan. God has a better plan for us. We need to be intentional about our attitudes, even in those times we feel like a jelly fish caught up in the current of incoming cultural tides fighting not to be beached by the Cancel God Culture. Soul Saturated Snark
There was a time when I was so unbearably stanky and snarky that I could not even live with myself. I decided to empty my mind of all the negative thoughts that were stirring around about my dead dreams, things I had planned for that were suddenly struck down by circumstances changing quickly out of my control. So, I wrote them all down, page after page of my dead dreams and negative thoughts. When I was done with multiple pages in my hand, I started a fire in our fire pit and I put the paper and all the words and feelings of snarky disappointment, discouragement and disillusionment, in the fire and watched them burn until there were only ashes left. I prayed and asked the Lord that on this day, my life would be about Him, His desires and not my wants, I was ready to embrace the path God had for me on that day. My thoughts were good, my heart attitude was submissive and worshipful and wholly-holy real aligned, connected heart to heart with God. I realized God had a plan, it wasn’t my plan, but it was impressively much better than mine and I was confident, my faith was renewed and my thoughts were positive with possibility for the new things God had going on and I was ready for followship and a Great God adventure.
Place Your Life Before God Romans 12: 1-2 Message Bible So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life–your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life–and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. 2 Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. #DigDeeper Change Things Up In Your Inner Spiritual Core With God’s Word: https://thebridegroomscafe.com/pray-james-1
