Good Morning – Good Manna
“God’s love for us is everlasting. That means that God’s love for us existed before we were born and will exist after we have died. It is an eternal love in which we are embraced. Living a spiritual life calls us to claim that eternal love for ourselves so that we can live our temporal loves – for parents, brothers, sisters, teachers, friends, spouses, and all people who become part of our lives – as reflections or refractions of God’s eternal love. Author~Henri Nouwen,
Morning Manna 1Tim.6:5-16
Verses 5-7:
Among men who are corrupted in mind and bereft of the truth, who imagine that godliness or righteousness is a source of profit, a moneymaking business, a means of livelihood. From such withdraw. And it is, indeed, a source of immense profit, for godliness accompanied with contentment, that contentment which is a sense of inward sufficiency, is great and abundant gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and obviously we cannot take anything out of the world
Verses 8-10
But if we have food and clothing, with these we shall be content, satisfied. But those who crave to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish, useless, godless and hurtful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction and miserable perishing. For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute mental pangs.
Verses 11-12
But as for you, O man of God, flee from all these things; aim at and pursue righteousness, right standing with God and true goodness, godliness which is the loving fear of God and being Christ like, faith, love, steadfastness, patience, and gentleness of heart. Fight the good fight of the faith; lay hold of the eternal life to which you were summoned and for which you confessed the good confession of faith before many witnesses.
Verses 13-16
In the presence of God, Who preserves alive all living things, and of Christ Jesus, Who in His testimony before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I solemnly charge you To keep all His precepts unsullied and flawless, irreproachable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Anointed One, Which appearing will be shown forth in His own proper time by the blessed, only Sovereign Ruler, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Who alone has immortality, in the sense of exemption from every kind of death and lives in unapproachable light, Whom no man has ever seen or can see. Unto Him be honor and everlasting power and dominion. Amen, so be it.
Verses 17-19
As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud and arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for, our enjoyment. Charge them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal and generous of heart, ready to share[with others, in this way laying up for themselves, the riches that endure forever as a good foundation for the future, so that they may grasp that which is life indeed.

Good Manna Feed My spirit This Morning
THANKFUL FOR GOD’S CEASELESS NATURE
AWE-GOD! Jesus Christ is ceaseless in care, life, love, purpose, provision towards us. I think of Jesus today as I read the above verse and I am so thankful for His constant-consistent life flowing in Me. No matter who we are and what station of life we are purposely put, God ceaselessly provides for us. He is no respecter of persons, because His purposes displace all of our cultural platforms of wealth. It is time for us to stop trying to climb up the cultural ladder of success and look to Jesus, receiving His ceaseless provision and sacrifice it into the lives of others, therefore making a Kingdom investment that will truly make us rich in the riches that last infinitely so!
THANKFUL FOR GOD’S KINGDOM EXCELLENCE!
God is ceaselessly giving to all of us, all of the time. God is always being, His very nature is ceaseless. Nothing or no one in our world can stop God from being. He was, He is and He is to come. He sent His Son Jesus to give us a “ceaseless” life in Him. The word “ceaseless” stirs my spirit in gratefulness as I think of the incredible gift I have been given. As I read this verse again, I find myself drawn to the truth of the excellence of God’s care for us, reflecting on how much God ceaselessly cares for us, but it is always with a magnificent excellence! How incredible is that? Our Father God is constantly attentive to our every need, He is ceaseless in our care and excellent in Kingdom purposes being played out for our best all around us, every moment. God’s ceaseless Presence is in every minute of our lives, there is not a moment that goes by that He is not in the center of it, working out His Sovereign will for our good. AWE-GOD
THANKFUL FOR THE GIFT OF GOD TIME!
I think about “time” and how rich I am because God has promised Me “ceaseless time” and through Jesus, His Son has gifted me with eternal life. Time is a precious gift. As I digest this good manna, my thoughts are drawn to how I tend to use my time so unwisely. When you think of time do you realize when we allow our human condition of arrogance to lead us, we run our life-race impetuously with the gift of our time and expend it foolishly. This verse really stirs in me the desire to be better with my gift of “ceaseless provision”. I find myself sometimes having the tendency to procrastinate and put off the important things in my daily life. I rationalize and I falsely believe I have time in my manipulation and control. How foolish is that? I take time for granted and then I hear myself saying over and over again: “Wow how fast time is flying by”. I hope huge as God graciously and ceaselessly provides, I will with humbleness respond in wisdom that is led by gratefulness and be found as completely His. I hope to be found serving, sacrificing and investing His ceaseless provision back into His Kingdom because this is the best use of the time I have been gifted. Awe-God. Make sure you continue below and partake of the garnish to this meal that will help you to be FAT! Faithful – Available – Teachable in the wisdom of this meal!
GOOD MANNA MAKES ME F.A.T.
Faithful
Faithful In Humility
Pride is a dangerous thing because our self-importance can lead us to an independence from our Precious God, Who richly and ceaselessly wants to provide us with everything we need for the growth of our spirit and the enjoyment of our soul. I hope for my spirit to become fat in the wisdom of this morning manna! I desire to be a humble-grateful recipient of God’s ceaseless provision. I hope to truly appreciate His faithfulness to me.
Faithful In Significance
Apart from Jesus, we human beings don’t have the ability to stay focused; we get discontent, restless and always want something more, something better and we fall into the trap of using up our precious time in endless pursuits of the insignificant excesses and truly don’t enjoy the moment in time that has been so graciously provided to us by our God. God has provided for us a ceaseless significance in Him, we need to grasp this and be faithful to the life we have in Him.
Faithful In Selflessness
We are rich in time today, we don’t want to arrogantly expend this time in self-indulgence. Being fat in my faith will always be more important to me than having a fat worldly wallet. Think about this too. Is your spirit fat with the ceaseless provision of faith God provides, or is your flesh fat as you gorge yourself with every excess this culture has to offer us in this generation? God’s ceaseless provision is perfect in every way and I hope huge we all learn to dine on it and be nurtured by it 1st before we pig out on cultural things that don’t nourish our spirit at all, but feed our flesh causing an insatiable desire for self-gratification. Are we faithful in our selflessly living of our life or are we feeding ourselves first, looking out for ourselves?
Available
Available For The Kingdom
This morning manna truly helps me desire to be available to the ceaseless Kingdom provision God gives us every day, to help me stay focused on His will for my life. I have a desire to be found in the flow of His Kingdom purposes today. In our culture, it is prevalent to feel like you never have enough and to continually strive to gratify the search for self-importance. Self-Indulgent flatulence eats up so much of our availability to God as we focus on our need instead of God’s Kingdom purposes.
Available For Growth
We human beings desire our titles that put us above others. Don’t we?! Rich. Poor. Middle Class. We are constantly stereotyping people. Wherever we are, we strive to climb up higher on the culture ladder of our lives. Our human nature conditioned in culturalism will impulsively skip from one thing to another as we spend our availability on ourselves. The sad thing is the self-indulgent very rarely experience true inner peace or come to realize genuine satisfaction in their gained life position or culturally bettered life-circumstances. They are more available to get from the culture than to learn and grow in Christ.
Available To Persevere
I wonder if we truly remember what it means to be still and enjoy; to wait and experience the fulfillment that our God ceaselessly and abundantly supplies. Our impulsive human nature hardly knows anymore what it means to wait and persevere for anything. We want it now. Is our availability to God fickle? I wonder if in our self-satisfied, self-sufficient state of union, if we might be leaning towards being a culture of people who are seeking a quick, drive-up-drive-through fix, that leaves us with left-over time which we impetuously squander without a second glance at its consequences. Are we available to God to persevere and grow through things or are we impulsively letting our culture run us wild.
Available To God
In our country, time equates to: now-quick-easy. The typical trends of our era is time spent on credit by dipping into tomorrow’s prosperity for today and racing on towards all the new-fangled, shallow and meaningless experiences we can fit into our crammed-packed personal agenda. Are we available to the One God, The Awe-God, Who ceaselessly wants to provide all we need, or do we have a lackadaisical attitude combined with an impetuous use of our time, which leaves scattered behind our lives, the garbage of unsatisfying remnants, unfulfilled dreams, unfinished promises and unproductive, broken acquaintances that we once called relationships.
Available In Selflessness
Are we available to our Awe-God? Has the sacrifice gone out of our salvation? The human condition of selfish independence from God litters the future of our next generation with a stench-filled hopelessness that is inundated in depressive thick soul smog that even the brightest sun could not penetrate. I realize thinking through this morning manna that being selflessly available to God, constantly-consistently, will bring about in our future a heavenly hindsight that has a strong kingdom light that can and will endure the storms of this life and be a life light to others.
Teachable
Teachable By Provision
After reading this good morning manna, I realize I don’t partake consistently in God’s ceaseless provision. Today I heard Jesus say this: Stop. Sit Still. Wait On Me. Listen To My Voice. At times, I look ahead too much and I miss the provision God has for me in my today. I can hear God through this morning manna saying: “Look to Me and I will bring you out of your one-dimensional race for tomorrow’s time and cause you to use this moment in time wisely, for eternal advantage, as you daily receive my ceaseless provision. Without Me, you can do nothing of eternal significance. Be still and know Me. Walk In Me. Be found In My Ceaseless Provision.”
Teachable In Purpose
Being teachable today I am listening to Jesus as He says: “On My timetable, I will put you on a narrow path and give you new vision every day, and you will run in time with Kingdom purpose, not against it. Your sprint will conclude a satisfying race as you run with purposeful adventure, leading you to personal enjoyment here on earth as you pursue the purposes of the Kingdom of God. Be Teachable. Receive My Ceaseless Provision. You are destined to win.”
Teachable By Surrender
I am being teachable today in light of this good morning manna and I desire to receive all of the ceaseless provision of My Awe-God as I stay in constant conversation with Him. Today Jesus says to me: “You were created for a time such as this. I am Your All-In All. I will ceaselessly provide all that you need. Wait on Me. Abide in Me. Release your hold on your agenda and sit quietly in My Presence and I will renew you, restoring you to My table of time- ceaseless” Selah!
Teachable By Character
I hope to learn to say no to all the cultural excesses and stop and be available to the ceaseless provision of my Awe-God. This morning manna also speaks strongly to me about being available to the provision of God’s character so I never walk with an arrogant-independent spirit. I also desire to be teachable by God’s provision of ceaseless truth, so I never have to function on borrowed terms and come full cycle to the same place I started, accomplishing nothing. I want to leave my children and grandchildren a living legacy growing daily out of my availability to God’s ceaseless provision!
