Chase After God
It is always a good day to chase after God. God is always on the move, continually being for us and doing, active things for our good. A good challenge for us is to stay in followship of God, letting Him lead us. A Great God adventure kind of day is when we let Him lead and we are chasing after Him. Sometimes we do absolutely what we want to do, leaving God out of it and when we end up dead ended, we then call God into the middle of our mess.
Start With God
It is probably better for us if we start with God first, not what we want, but what God is already doing and join in with Him, chase after God and stay in followship of Him. Life is good that way! It is so funny that we think we can actually say: “Come with me God, I will lead, and You come along.” This never ends well. It is a good thing to run the race with God, from start to finish! Start with God, because He always finishes what He starts, and He finishes well. It is totally fun though, to try to keep up with God, letting Him lead, chasing after Him through all the many detours and forks in the road. It is never dull serving a very creative God and trying to keep up with all He is doing.
Who is among you who fears the Lord, Who obeys the voice of His Servant, Yet who walks in darkness and has no light? Let him trust and be confident in the name of the Lord and let him rely on his God. Listen carefully, all you who kindle your own fire [devising your own man-made plan of salvation], Who surround yourselves with torches, walk by the light of your [self-made] fire and among the torches that you have set ablaze. But this you will have from My hand: You will lie down in [a place of] torment. Isaiah 50:10-11 Amplified Bible
Chasing The World
It is so easy in times where we are desperately chasing after the things of this world to fall into the bad habit of kindling our own fires and walking by the light of a man-made fire. A fire started by men will flame out and leave us in the dark. So, I say, choose to walk by the Light of God, be navigated by God’s Holy Spirit and never flame out, shine brightly for the world to see Christ in you, the hope of glory. Let other’s see in you the truth you know, the truth of God, that He is more than enough for us in this world and be a light that can never be extinguished. Glow God’s Glory! Overflow Anointing
Be set apart from human striving that always ends with a deadened dreams and instead, do what matters, be found in God, be navigated by God’s Holy Spirit. Chase after Jesus, open your heart wide to Him, know Him personally. Let go of your human striving for things this world says will make you happy and let God fill You to overflowing. It is the overflow of our vital-vertical relationship with God that splashes out all over everyone else, this is our anointing of greatness, our strength and our success. Jesus Christ in us, our hope of glory, our happiness, our satisfaction, the very thing that becomes an all-consuming JOY, an attractive brilliance in all things, a splendorific radiance that this world can never put out with all its pessimistic pandering. Chasing after others, we miss God. Chasing after what we want, we miss God. The best thing to do is look up, connect to Jesus, heart to heart and open your heart wide to Him. God will fill an open heart with His amazing life, peace and joy. On this day SHINE of God’s hope, His love, His peace, His strength, His wisdom, His truth, His possibility. Go ye therefore… confident in Him that He will finish on this day what He started in us as we awakened with life and potential in Him and chase after Him in followship of His Holy Spirit. SHINE!
