1 Corinthians 13:12 For now, we can only see a dim and blurry picture of things, as when we stare into polished metal. I realize that everything I know is only part of the big picture. But one day, when Jesus arrives, we will see clearly, face-to-face. In that day, I will fully know just as I have been wholly known by God. The Voice
Psalm 55:22 Leave all your cares and anxieties at the feet of the Lord, and measureless grace will strengthen you. The Passion Translation
Sudden Change Is Sometimes Not Friendly
I was thinking about a friend today whose husband was a Pastor before He suddenly came down with a brain tumor. It has changed everything for them. This is what I call, soul painful, a stretching of our soul beyond its means to humanly understand and endure. They have really suffered these past few months and are growing through with God. It is hard to watch without feeling their pain and asking: Why, God Why?
Impulsive Choices
In this life, we impulsively choose to see through our worldly viewpoint, even though there is a choice for God’s Kingdom Perspective. We will walk in the light we know within our human condition. How? Well, we kindle a fire of human strength, walk by this man-made fire until it flames out, which it will. We only see in part, this limits the ability of our soul to burn bright by the power of our will. Our human condition burns out and the darkness of fatigue turns into a soul weariness that capitulates our pain into the center of our focus, knocking us out of wholly-holy alignment with God. This condition of the soul is described as being worn. Listen Up:
Isaiah 50:10-11 Who among you fears the Lord and obeys his Servant? If such men walk in darkness, without one ray of light, let them trust the Lord, let them rely upon their God. 11 But see here, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves from your own fires and not from God’s; you will live among sorrows. The Living Bible
God Knows, He Absolutely Knows Everything
God see’s everything in whole and He knows everything in full. We experience God’s Sovereign Will through His unseen purposes playing out in our lives. Some days what we experience in this life, it is very good, and some days it feels “hard to swallow” the Sovereign Will of God. Yet all days, it is what is best for us, even though we don’t feel it or see it that way. God knows, He has chosen us for this adversity, purposefully so. No doubt about it. God’s purposes are in play, whether they feel good, or feel bad, they are set in motion with the endgame that God perfectly sees. God stays with us as we run this race of faith and the cheerleaders overlooking heaven are cheering us on continuously. We are not alone.
The Great Cloud of Witnesses: As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. Hebrews 12:1 The Passion Translation
Growing Through With Our Finisher God
God’s ways are not our ways, this is a truth we “grow through” much, in times such as these. God has an endgame and never has been without one. God, as part of His plan, purchased the rights for us to “His Endgame”. If we choose to see through God’s Kingdom perspective, we will and we can see His Endgame being outspread in two purposes which are always in play, in God’s daily Providential Care. With our worldly viewpoint we see one, we experience God working all things out for our good here on this earth, we are all in with this purpose contained in God’s Providential Care, we want to see the good. When we see through the fullness of a Kingdom Perspective, we see both purposes, the second one being how God works out His purposes in us to bring glory to His Kingdom. When we see both of these purposes in play, God working for our good and for the glory of His Kingdom, this is when we have the power and passion to patiently endure our pain.
God Has The Last Word
God’s final say-so in all things, was sending His Son, Jesus to us, to make a way for us to have a forever. Jesus came to us, to die our death, so we could live His forever life. So, if I am in pain today, this is the part I see and feel, it is not the whole plan God sees and knows. I know what I know, God knows what He knows. Which will I lean into? Truth is not affected by our unbelief, it remains truth whether we approve of it or not. God does not need our approval, He is the Proof, Jesus is the Proven and the Holy Spirit is the Prover. Our Triune God does not, has not failed.
Lean Into God’s Sovereign Sway
I am just thinking, I should lean into God’s Sovereign Sway, and patiently endure, trusting the ONE, Who sees in full, our Savior, Jesus. Incredibly so, Jesus has already procured my final say-so in all matters. How about you? Do you believe in Jesus? AND Do you believe Jesus? He said He was our Way, Truth and Life and He said He was going to prepare a place for us. He said He left us an Advocate. He said He is always with us. He said we have a future and a hope. He said He would never give us more than we could handle. Do you believe Him? Do you believe He procured an “Endgame” for us, a from here to there, unto forever? I believe in Him. I believe Him. How about you?
Living Out Of A Kingdom Perspective
I hope for all of us to live out of a Kingdom Perspective, seeing in part, yet embracing the fullness of God’s Providential Care for our good and His Kingdom glory. He has perfect purposes always in play for us. Could it be that our pain, this suffering we are enduring has amazing purpose beyond what we can see, even beyond us? Is God working in the unseen for our good and His glory? Should we embrace God’s way, lean into His truth and live out of His life, our promised future, and watch, wait and see, trusting wholly-holy in Him and His Endgame? Is it for our best advantage to yield to the Holy Spirit and give God total access to our pain? Have you ever experienced God as a pain manager? It is miraculous in that way only He can be in situations where it is more than we can handle. What if we just trusted His endgame, without a doubt, believing in His way, truth and life? What say you?
Dig Deeper And Change It UP
Who among you fears the Lord and obeys his Servant? If such men walk in darkness, without one ray of light, let them trust the Lord, let them rely upon their God. 11 But see here, you who live in your own light and warm yourselves from your own fires and not from God’s; you will live among sorrows. Isaiah 50:10-11 Living Bible
Wholly-Holy Aligned
To be best in this world is to wholly-holy align ourselves with Jesus Christ, His way, truth and life. To carry that out, we stay in an unbreakable, vital-vertical relationship with God. We cling to God, we dig our life roots deeply in Him, giving Him total access to our lives and putting our identity fully in Him. This is how we burn bright with a light that can never be extinguished and this is how we patiently endure. Listen Up:
