I love You, Eternal One, source of my power. The Eternal is my rock, my fortress, and my salvation; He is my True God, the stronghold in which I hide, my strong shield, the horn that calls forth help, and my tall-walled tower. I call out to the Eternal, who is worthy to be praised—that’s how I will be rescued from my enemies. Psalm 18: 1-3 The voice
Are You Feeling Weak?
Jesus You are our hope. You are our Strong Deliverer. Your Word has endured and will endure forever. Everlasting God! We praise You, our Defender of the weak and our perfect Comforter. You lift us up as wings like eagles and we know without a doubt that Your strength will rise in our human weakness as we wait on You, our Awe-God.
He said to me, “My grace is enough to cover and sustain you. My power is made perfect in weakness.” So ask me about my thorn, inquire about my weaknesses, and I will gladly go on and on—I would rather stake my claim in these and have the power of the Anointed One at home within me. I am at peace and even take pleasure in any weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and afflictions for the sake of the Anointed because when I am at my weakest, He makes me strong. 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 The Voice
Got Sapped Emotional Strength?
Things happen in this life that sap our emotional strength. Disappointment is one of those things that loves to seduce our doubt and mistrust of God and cause a deep weariness in our soul. Sometimes we just can’t understand what is happening because we only see in part. God knows, He has the whole picture. We turn our eyes to You, Jesus, we fully face You with our soul wide open, open hearted, our spirit is seeking wholly-holy alignment with You, because You are our sturdy fortress.
The Eternal is the source of my strength and the shield that guards me. When I learn to rest and truly trust Him, He sends His help. This is why my heart is singing! I open my mouth to praise Him, and thankfulness rises as song. The Eternal gives life and power to all His chosen ones; to His anointed He is a sturdy fortress. Psalm 28:7-8 The Vioce
Waves Of Uncertainty Crashing In?
The things of this world are temporary in nature, sometimes only lasting as long as the culture tide is in, so change washes in and out and no idea is steadfast, no experience remains untampered with and we feel the wishy-washy unsteadiness of a world that is anchored to human say so. The waves of uncertainty crash upon our soul as humanity is a sea saw of personal opinion that is up and down with the cultural tides. Jesus is a bulwark that never changes and hope in Him is our strong anchor during these times where the cultural tide of sin is crashing upon the shores of mankind wreaking all kinds of havoc on our souls.
God strengthens the weary and gives vitality to those worn down by age and care. Young people will get tired; strapping young men will stumble and fall. But those who trust in the Eternal One will regain their strength. They will soar on wings as eagles. They will run—never winded, never weary. They will walk—never tired, never faint. Isaiah 40:29-31
Tired And Weary Of The Fight?
Jesus is our hope. Jesus is our strong deliverer. In times such as these we must cling to Him dig our life roots deeply in Him. He does not faint, He does not grow weary like we do. Our strength will increase as we decrease trying to fix things in our own strength. Our strength will increase as we decrease in fixating on understanding everything and just wholly-holy trust Him. We will not grow weary as we look to God, Who is the defender of the weak, the Only One Who can lift us up on wings like eagles and we can soar above all the noise and say so of this world as God, purposefully so directs the trials that are to be a part of the shaping of our lives. God does not always deliver us from, but delivers us through because He knows the best way out is to “grow through”.
“Have you heard God’s blessing in your inmost being? Are the words, ‘You are my beloved child, in whom I delight’ an endless source of joy and strength? Have you sensed, through the Holy Spirit, God speaking to you? That blessing- the blessing through the Spirit that is ours through Christ- is what Jacob received and it is the only remedy against idolatry. Only that blessing makes idols unnecessary. As with Jacob, we usually discover this only after a life of ‘looking for blessings in all the wrong places.’ It often takes an experience of crippling weakness for us to finally discover it. That is why so many of the most God-blessed people limp as they dance for joy.” Author~Tim Keller
Feel Let Down By Temporary Things?
Jesus is everlasting, this world and all its nonsense is temporary. Which one will we cling to today? When we wait on God, fully trusting Him, our soul will be anchored and our spirit will be led by the hope of our future. It may have been a tough week for us, but our strength will rise as we wait on the Lord, He is our hope, our strong Deliverer.
God is our shelter and our strength. When troubles seem near, God is nearer, and He’s ready to help. So why run and hide? No fear, no pacing, no biting fingernails. When the earth spins out of control, we are sure and fearless. When mountains crumble and the waters run wild, we are sure and fearless. Even in heavy winds and huge waves, or as mountains shake, we are sure and fearless. Psalm 46:1-4 The Voice
“True faith, by a mighty effort of the will, fixes its gaze on our Divine Helper, and there finds it possible and wise to lose its fears. It is madness to say, “I will not be afraid;” it is wisdom and peace to say, “I will trust and not be afraid.”
