Faith Pinnacle

Reached Your Pinnacle? Is It Finite Or Infinite! If It Is Resting On Finite, You Will Tumble Down. If It Is Resting On Infinite, The KING Of The Mountain Will Hold You There! AWE-GOD!

When I think “I” finally have a command on my emotions in this crazy season of life, which by the way, I would never have chosen for myself, I realize I don’t as I come tumbling down off the pinnacle of finite success! Yet here I am as I follow my Way-Maker, Jesus Christ, here I am to worship HIM, realizing the only way to a pinnacle of Infinite Success is by way of His Cross and the crucifying of my fleshly desires and wants.

Here I Am To Worship

Romans 14:7-9

None of us lives to himself [but to the Lord], and none of us dies to himself [but to the Lord, for] 8 If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or we die, we belong to the Lord. 9 For Christ died and lived again for this very purpose, that He might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

I will fail on my own, because my dreams, hopes and expectations are influenced by my culture of need and greed! I need God’s Perspective. Every day I reach to climb an “Infinite Faith Pinnacle”. How? My first step out each day is bowed down. I bow before AWE-God. I reverently, humbly, submissively avow my allegiance to HIM and His Kingdom 1st. I surrender my wants, dreams, hopes, placing all my expectations in His Hands. Emptying myself of all things me, I put on Jesus Christ and in vital-vertical relationship with HIM, Wholly-Holy HIS, I step out into the day which HE has made for me.

I get up off my knees each morning and I step into my new day, into His Kingdom Purpose flow, with a Kingdom perspective leading my heart, soul, emotions and setting my spirit in the attitudes of HIS heart passion. Perched On This Pinnacle Of Infinite Faith, I “Grow Through” My Day!

Ephesians 4:22-24

Strip yourselves of your former nature [put off and discard your old unrenewed self] which characterized your previous manner of life and becomes corrupt through lusts and desires that spring from delusion; 23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], 24 And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness.

We live in a culture, a nation and a people who have fallen away from God and His truth, therefore we suffer. We have lost much in this last year, yet I am learning from this season of my life to not chase after that which I have lost, but receive the Kingdom, I have been given and be an excellent servant of it. This takes a Kingdom perspective. Sometimes I get lost in my finite view point of loss, the fear of my future without job security, pension plan, life insurance, retirement and many other things I was so accustomed to in my comfort zone of this life here on earth. We are traveling now from place to place because of the scarcity of work in our 35 year old profession, the construction industry. There is no place to call our “home”! My security in this world has been rocked! Yet, the Kingdom of God stands in my heart and secures my soul!

John 16:32-33

But take notice, the hour is coming, and it has arrived, when you will all be dispersed and scattered, every man to his own home, leaving Me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

The Kingdom By Kristin Stanfill

This season of life is not what we had planned as the pinnacle of our successful years; it is not even close to our dreams. Dreams die in a fallen world, yet hope in God should not if it is Kingdom rooted. This season of life is purposefully what God has planned for me, so I realize in the reaching for my pinnacle, it is not finite that I reach for, my perspective is Kingdom, my pinnacle is infinite in character and the object of it is God and His Kingdom.

My greatest need might not be my next paycheck that keeps me with a roof over my head; it may be purposefully pursuing and finding my place of promise and hope in my pinnacle of faith through a vital-vertical relationship with my living God, WHO will show me the way to His Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.

I need a Kingdom Perspective to reach my true pinnacle of success, of being a person of steadfast faith, faithful to a future Kingdom of God. I belong to this Kingdom not to this world; therefore, my prayer remains constantly before God, asking HIM for less of this world and more of His Kingdom to reign in me. I will never belong here on earth or “feel” at home here. I don’t belong here; the place I belong is the Kingdom of God.

Ephesians 2:18-20

For it is through Him that we both [whether far off or near] now have an introduction (access) by one [Holy] Spirit to the Father [so that we are able to approach Him]. 19 Therefore you are no longer outsiders (exiles, migrants, and aliens, excluded from the rights of citizens), but you now share citizenship with the saints (God’s own people, consecrated and set apart for Himself); and you belong to God’s [own] household. 20 You are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets with Christ Jesus Himself the chief Cornerstone.

Philippians 3:20

For our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, 21 who will transform our lowly body that it may be conformed to His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.

A Place For Us By Carrie Underwood

I do well for a while, but it seems I come back full circle to wanting my comfort zone predictably padded with my wants and once again I have to chose and Infinite Pinnacle over finite viewpoints. It doesn’t go away, the restlessness for wanting and having a home, somewhere to lay my head that is permanent. The hope of living in a community and having a neighborhood I can call family is strong in me, it is my Italian nature! Yet my supernatural God nature always trumps it with His Truth as I climb back up to an Infinite Pinnacle, a Kingdom Perspective.

It comes around full circle what I want and once again I have to struggle to align myself with God’s Will for me in this season of my life.
@kmac4him

How can I hate the place God has provided for me? He did such a great job of miraculously getting us here, as He pulled us out of losing everything and purposefully put us here in this city, this place. Will I not receive or know of the joy of His purposeful provision? Will I choose dissatisfaction because I did not get what I wanted and it doesn’t always “feel good” to my flesh? When I get so wrapped up in “me”, I forget just how good this is for me “purposefully so” and I don’t walk in the new thing God has destined for me. That is the true sad!

Isaiah 43:16-21

This is what God says, the God who builds a road right through the ocean, who carves a path through pounding waves, The God who summons horses and chariots and armies— they lie down and then can’t get up; they’re snuffed out like so many candles:”Forget about what’s happened don’t keep going over old history.

Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands.

Wild animals will say ‘Thank you!’ —the coyotes and the buzzards—Because I provided water in the desert, rivers through the sun-baked earth, Drinking water for the people I chose, the people I made especially for myself, a people custom-made to praise me.

Forgive me Lord God. Forgive my flesh that is so finitely unsatisfied and help me to embrace and pursue the Kingdom purpose in this season of my life. You have provided and it is good and best for me and Your Kingdom. Your Kingdom purposes ARE in play here. Help me to keep an unbroken focus on YOU and what YOU desire, and not on my dissatisfaction. Give me an undivided heart. (Psalm 86:11) I can’t let go of the past and my dreams for my future, because I am not deeply rooted enough in my real future, in the Kingdom of God. Forgive me Lord. I so desire to be wholly-holy YOURS, more than I want what I dreamed an earthly dream of. Root me deeply in Your Kingdom Lord Jesus.

1 Corinthians 10:12-14

Therefore let anyone who thinks he stands [who feels sure that he has a steadfast mind and is standing firm], take heed lest he fall [into sin]. 13 For no temptation (no trial regarded as enticing to sin), [no matter how it comes or where it leads] has overtaken you and laid hold on you that is not common to man [that is, no temptation or trial has come to you that is beyond human resistance and that is not [a]adjusted and [b]adapted and belonging to human experience, and such as man can bear].

BUT GOD is faithful [to His Word and to His compassionate nature], and He [can be trusted] not to let you be tempted and tried and assayed beyond your ability and strength of resistance and power to endure, but with the temptation He will [always] also provide the way out (the means of escape to [c]a landing place), that you may be capable and strong and powerful to bear up under it patiently. 14 Therefore, my dearly beloved, shun (keep clear away from, avoid by flight if need be) any sort of idolatry (of loving or venerating anything more than God).

The Gloomiest, Grayest Day Ever, The MOST Glorious Lord GOD Ever. Which One Commands The Devotion Of My Emotions? I Choose Jesus! I Reverently-Respectfully Lean My Personality Into The Sovereign Sway of AWE-GOD!

Sovereign By Chris Tomlin

Proverbs 3:3-7

Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart. 4 So you will find favor and good success in the sight of God and man. 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. 7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.

Getting to a finite pinnacle is amazing, but staying there as king of the finite, is not possible, because we live in a fallen world and in finite accomplishments, our pinnacle moments fall and we tumble into the valleys of life, fully facing the failures of our human condition again. We had it all. Beautiful mountain home, family around us, finances flowing in, great job, community, neighbors, bright financial future and hope and then it all crashed down with the failing economy of our nation falling away from God. From the finite pinnacle we fell into the valley. It is here in the valley we learned to climb to the real pinnacle of our lives, our faith and belief in God.

What happens if we reach the pinnacle of our success in this life and it is the gloomiest, grayest day ever? We can look beyond the finite pinnacle of this life to the Kingdom perspective and see the MOST Glorious Lord GOD ever! We decide which one, WHO is it which commands the devotion of our emotions?

Love Stands Waiting By Matthew West

A Finite Pinnacle? That After We Reach The Top Of It Successfully Means Nothing, Leaving Behind Us Stepped On And Hurting People. An Infinite Pinnacle? Where We Have Climbed In Followship Of God And We Have A Whole Lot Of Other People Ahead Of Us, People We Have Helped Make Their Way To The Truth, Life And Way Of God’s Pinnacle Of Faithful Followship!

The Pinnacle of my success is determined by my Infinite perspective, not my finite viewpoints. I am standing on the Infinite Faith Pinnacle every day when I know I am wholly-holy aligned in a vital-vertical relationship with Jesus and because of my constant faithfulness to HIM, being called to HIM 1st, I experience a pinnacle of faith that is not determined by finite circumstances, but by Infinite Power Of Almighty God, that changes not with the cultural tides of this world! I am not successful nor will I probably reach a pinnacle of success that is determined by the cultural say so of this finite world. In the eyes of the world and determined by finite cultural say-so, I am not successful at all. Yet in what simply-significantly eternally matters, I can choose to be successful as I believe in Jesus Christ and follow hard after HIM.

No matter what the cost to my finite success, I put God and His Kingdom first and strive each day for a purposeful-position on an Infinite Faith Pinnacle.

Job 12:7-25

Put your ear to the earth—learn the basics. Listen—the fish in the ocean will tell you their stories. Isn’t it clear that they all know and agree that God is sovereign, that he holds all things in his hand—Every living soul, yes, every breathing creature? Isn’t this all just common sense, as common as the sense of taste? Do you think the elderly have a corner on wisdom, that you have to grow old before you understand life? From God We Learn How to Live

[ From God We Learn How to Live ] “True wisdom and real power belong to God; from him we learn how to live, and also what to live for. If he tears something down, it’s down for good; if he locks people up, they’re locked up for good. If he holds back the rain, there’s a drought; if he lets it loose, there’s a flood.

Strength and success belong to God; both deceived and deceiver must answer to him. He strips experts of their vaunted credentials, exposes judges as witless fools. He divests kings of their royal garments, then ties a rag around their waists. He strips priests of their robes, and fires high officials from their jobs.

He forces trusted sages to keep silence, deprives elders of their good sense and wisdom. He dumps contempt on famous people, disarms the strong and mighty. He shines a spotlight into caves of darkness, hauls deepest darkness into the noonday sun.

He makes nations rise and then fall, builds up some and abandons others. He robs world leaders of their reason, and sends them off into no-man’s-land. They grope in the dark without a clue, lurching and staggering like drunks

True Success Finds Itself On A Pinnacle Of Faith And Belief In AWE-GOD And Is Found In The Faithfulness To His Kingdom! The Perspective Of A Successful Pinnacle Is An Infinite Kingdom, Not A Finite Goal.

A Seasoned Servant Of God Has Encouraged Me In This Today:

2 Timothy 3:10-11

“You, however, know all about my teaching, my way of life, my purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11persecutions, sufferings—what kinds of things happened to me in Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, the persecutions I endured. Yet the Lord rescued me from all of them”.

Encouragement From Pastor Elliott:

Good morning, Bob and Kim, read this again…”Yet the Lord rescued me from them all.” I don’t claim to have suffered as Paul suffered for the cause of Christ, but just like you, and all of God’s children, I know pain. A dear old pastor/friend of mine taught me that “a teacher or preacher never rises above his or her own teaching or preaching. You can only teach what you know, and no amount of head knowledge will ever be more important than personal experience.”

Whatever is good and righteous in me belongs to God, because it came from Him. Nothing in me that I have accomplished in the flesh has helped me grow in spirit and truth. Paul was writing to Timothy concerning his faith walk. And we, too, should teach others (as well as ourselves) to follow the truth, which is in Jesus Christ.

We cannot do it on our own. It must come from faith in Jesus Christ. His Kingdom is the most important thing. People being saved for eternal residence in His Kingdom is the most important thing. It is not for our glory that He rescues us time after time. It is for the glory of God that He, in His infinite mercy, reaches down and rescues us from ALL, not some, but ALL that comes against us. I can’t explain it. I just know it. It takes faith to believe it.”

John 12:35
Jesus answered, “The light will be with you only a little longer. Walk while you have the light so that darkness doesn’t overtake you. The one who walks in darkness doesn’t know where he’s going.

Think about this today, Bob and Kim: is your God faithful? Is He the light that illuminates your path of HOPE in a world full of trials? Do you trust Him, really trust Him? Do your prayers reflect your trust and faith? Do you BELIEVE He will rescue you from them ALL? Meditate on this today.

Above Was An Email Devotional By Pastor Elliott Osowitt

I needed that today; my emotions have been down the last couple of days. I wanted to think that I did not know why. I rationalized that I was not able to pin point a finite reason, or wrap my mind around my gloomy spirit, yet I know why, just did not want to face it because I felt I had the victory in it and bam, there it is again, the dissatisfaction, the wanting of something different. I know it has to do with coming face to face again with my inability to accept this season of my life, the weakness of wanting something different than God wants for me. I need to keep God at the center of my focus!

Center Of It By Chris August

This devotional from Pastor Elliott encouraged me so much, it shed God’s Light of Truth on this season of my life again. Think on the things of God. Discipline my thoughts to be out of a Kingdom Perspective. If I want to stay on the pinnacle of faith, my perspective matters. The Kingdom perspective of my life today, the real truth is that I am growing in spirit and truth and there is no better place to grow then right where God has purposefully planted me. I don’t like it here, it is so far out of my comfort zone and the loneliness is crippling at times. Often I find myself saying: I hate it here. BUT, this is what God has purposefully chosen for me, for a time such as this and I will walk in HIS SONLight and I will grow here in spirit and truth because my flesh is being crucified and my spirit is learning to rise above my human condition.

Philippians 4:6-9

Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. 7 And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]. 9 Practice what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and model your way of living on it, and the God of peace (of untroubled, undisturbed well-being) will be with you.

My soulish emotions can’t rule me, my spirit is wholly-holy aligned with God and He rules me. I am learning this in a time such as this. I don’t like that I can’t get the victory over my flesh, it bothers me that time and time again I am enticed into the “poor pity me pit”, when I know not to go to the edge of the pity pit, because I will fall in and my soul will be bruised. Yet, GOD, My Way-Maker, He Rescues me time and time again from that very same pity pit. He meets me at the bottom of the pit, dusts me off and helps me build a platform of His Truth to stand on, so I can “grow through” my pitiful experiences, climbing out from under the flesh, to stand up on my faith pinnacle with a fresh new view, a new Kingdom Perspective.

Matthew 16:23-25

Jesus turned to Peter and said, “Get away from me, Satan! You are a dangerous trap to me. You are seeing things merely from a human point of view, not from God’s.”24 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must turn from your selfish ways, take up your cross, and follow me. 25 If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it.

The enemy may entice me to give in to my soulish gloom and attend a temporary pity party, but when TRUTH shows up to LIGHT UP the dark shadowy deceptions, I choose to follow the permanent glory glow, that leads to my forever future instead of staying with the dimly lighted pouty party, that temporarily pats my flesh with feel good self pity.

AWE-GOD! I am grateful that God does not give us over to our enemy or let us give in to our flesh; He helps us climb higher where He is! He is committed to “grow us through” from finite pinnacles where we can only see an earthly viewpoint to infinite pinnacles, where we can see His Kingdom Perspective.
@kmac4him

I am celebrating with Jesus today, another victory as I climb back to my pinnacle of faith! With God’s Kingdom in view of my hope, I stand therefore in this city, this place, His purposeful choice for me, knowing my fleshly pouty party of pity, over dead finite dreams, is a dead end! Jesus Christ commands my destiny! Yes! In Christ Jesus is my forever future and hope and it plays out in the Kingdom purposes in play in my now, so I humbly-reverently-submissively submit to His plans for my life!
