For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness in this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12
Spirit Of Inditement
Spiritual warfare is a real thing and we are not that foolish to think we don’t have an enemy, but we choose to glimpse at the enemy and then turn and fully face God, focus on Him and stay in followship of Him. I know I have an enemy, it would be stupid to underestimate him, because he is as narcissistic as hell! But I also know God is greater, better, and able to turn evil for good. The enemy of our soul has been aggravating people by inditement. There is a spirit of inditement sent to distract us, disquieting our minds, stealing our peace. Indictment is in our personal lives, our national lives and globally all over in the form of deceptive charges against us that have no truth in the accusation, pushed forward by corruptive motives laced in deception. Deception is strong in times such as these, so we put on the Armor of God and walk hand in hand with our God, so we can walk by truth, through the power of truth. Soul indictment is something God can and will fight for us, it is a spiritual battle.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:13-17
Falsely Accused?
What is indictment like in times such as these? It is the devil’s speciality, as he puts out assumptions, speculations, false narratives, and presuppositions against us, and then finally charges us with the final step in all that deception, a false characterization of who we are, as we are attacked, labeled, and put on trial for something we have not done. This is the spiritual warfare of indictment. The worst part of it is, is that the accuser, the one pointing the finger at us, is the one who is actually doing what we are falsely accused of doing. The enemy loves this kind of trickery. Yet, when we look to God, He vindicates us, He makes a way out of the enemies trap. We are never without His help, His justice and His navigation. Falsely Accused? Look Up and let be, be still and know He is God.
Many false witnesses came forward, but the evidence could not be corroborated. Finally two men came forward and declared, “This man said, ‘I can destroy God’s temple and build it again in three days!’ ” Then the chief priest stood up and said to Jesus, “Have you nothing to say about these allegations? Is what they’re saying about you true?” But Jesus remained silent before them. So the chief priest said to him, “I charge you under oath—in the name of the living God, tell us once and for all if you are the anointed Messiah, the Son of God! Matthew 26:,60-63
“My bride, you are wrestling with the spirit of ungodliness, sin reigning through the rulers, kings, presidents and emperors of your age. This is My battle and I ask you not to fight it. Today what I am asking you to do My bride, is to put on your spiritual armor, lift up your shield of faith and completely believe in me.” The Bridegrooms Voice
Speculation ~ The Enemy Playground
Kind of like someone buys into an assumption about you, then they begin speculating on it and form an opinion from their deceptive presuppositions, and then they level you with the charge that the enemy wants to label you with. Like someone saying to you: You are self-righteous, or you are judgmental, or you are condescending, but they have no real facts to back it up, it is just all in their head. Then there is the plot to frame someone for evil reasons, all of this begins with speculation, assumptions, presuppositions as the enemy weaves a web of deception that leads to a false indictment. The enemies playground is in the past, this trick of the enemy to distract us from the now, keep us living out of the now power of God’s Holy Spirit. It is a trick of the enemy who uses the unsettled wounds, prejudices, bitterness of the past, it keeps everyone living out of the past, instead of the now, where God is actually present with us, loving us, and working purposefully for our good. The enemy uses false indictment to stir up strife and cause cultural chaos where deception blankets us with confusion, yet GOD, with one word: Shalom can disrupt the chaos and usher in the truth which stands the test of false indictment all the way through to acquittal.
Hear my prayer, O Lord ; listen to my plea! Answer me because you are faithful and righteous. Don’t put your servant on trial, for no one is innocent before you. My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave. Psalms 143:1-3
Identity In Christ
God knows the truth, He knows everything. He is Omniscient and Omni-Present, He has the superior advantage over the enemy of our soul, over the deceptive weaponry he has deployed. He even knows when we are in a situation where the enemy is stirring up nonsense against us, and He knows the hearts of all people involved. No one can really mess with your identity, or cause your reputation to be stained by their false narrative and fake reality. They can speak a lot of assumptions, but they truly can’t damage your identity in Christ. This is something no one can touch or change as we stay positioned underneath the Rulership of God’s love. Human beings when deceived by the enemy, their false inditement of you comes with the tricks of the enemy as they ghost you, or they throw out conditions for you to meet to be approved by them. Someone once said to me: “Either you do this (which was really impossible for me to do at the time) or you will never amount to anything, I will hold you back, you will not rise up in my employment, or in this company, you will fail.” This is not God’s way, the love of God is unconditional, and this is how you know the enemy of your soul is in play. But God, He made a way for me, one I never imagined could ever happen, because I made the right choice and was not bullied by conditions of the fickle human nature. This kind of hurt and disillusionment, this is the attack of the enemy of our soul, beware of your reaction, respond to God and stay in followship of Him.
Later, he came back to his three disciples and found them all sound asleep. He awakened Peter and said to him, “Could you not stay awake with me for even one hour? Keep alert and pray that you’ll be spared from this time of testing. Your spirit is eager enough, but your humanity is weak.” When he returned again to his disciples, he awoke them, saying, “Are you still sleeping? Don’t you know the hour has come for the Son of Man to be handed over to the authority of sinful men? Many false witnesses came forward, but the evidence could not be corroborated. Finally two men came forward and declared, “This man said, ‘I can destroy God’s temple and build it again in three days!’ ” Jesus answered him, “You just said it yourself. And more than that, you are about to see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of God, the Almighty. And one day you will also see the Son of Man coming in the heavenly clouds!” This infuriated the chief priest, and as an act of outrage, he tore his robe and shouted, “What blasphemy! No more witnesses are needed, for you heard this grievous blasphemy.” Turning to the council he said, “Now, what is your verdict?” “He’s guilty and deserves the death penalty!” they answered. Then they spat on his face and slapped him. Others struck him over and over with their fists. Then they taunted him by saying, “Oh, Anointed One, prophesy to us! Tell us which one of us is about to hit you next? Matthew 26
It is not an enemy who taunts me— I could bear that. It is not my foes who so arrogantly insult me— I could have hidden from them. Instead, it is you—my equal, my companion and close friend. What good fellowship we once enjoyed as we walked together to the house of God. Psalms 55:12-14
Be Anchored In Christ
If your reputation is tarnished by a false indictment, where someone has falsely accused you, labeling you with a title of something you are not being, or of something you are not doing, or making up something completely untrue, this tarnish will rub off with the Light of God as you shake off this distraction, and continue being on mission for God with the opposite spirit in play, than the one you were indicted for and with. Our natural tendency is to react to the injustice of false accusation, we pick up an offense and the enemy traps us on his playground with all his friends taunting our mind with disillusionment, confusion, discouragement, depression, and emotional hurt. Don’t pick up an offense, pick up your life anchor and securely anchor it in Christ Jesus. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video on being Anchored In Christ.
Listen to my prayer, O God. Do not ignore my cry for help! Please listen and answer me, for I am overwhelmed by my troubles. My enemies shout at me, making loud and wicked threats. They bring trouble on me and angrily hunt me down. Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest! I would fly far away to the quiet of the wilderness. Interlude How quickly I would escape— far from this wild storm of hatred. Confuse them, Lord, and frustrate their plans, for I see violence and conflict in the city. Psalms 55:1-3,6-9
The Blessing Of False Inditement
The blessing of the enemies spiritual indictment is in the casting off of our burdens, of our thoughts, and of our initial reactions to the offense, we cast them all on God, and learn to walk in the things we know, the Word of God, the knowledge of God, the understanding of God, the forgiveness of God, and learning and growing through the battle, for our focus stays on God. We fight this spiritual battle by first, yielding to God, to His way, truth and life, and letting go of the situation, letting be of the solution you think you know, and trusting God to do what He does best, straightens out the crooked places the enemy twists up with false inditement. Watch in prayer, wait in active faith, wholly-holy trust, and see the glory of God.
Give your burdens to the Lord , and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. But you, O God, will send the wicked down to the pit of destruction. Murderers and liars will die young, but I am trusting you to save me. Psalms 55:22-23
Dig Deeper In Truth
“My bride, you have an eternal treasure embedded deep within your heart. I am your Lord, your everlasting seed. Humankind as you know it is coming to an end and this age that you value will conclude when I return. You cannot control the decisions of your world government. Does this frighten you? If it does, I ask you this: what are your heart strings tied to? Are you a citizen of heaven or are you a permanent resident of earth? Today, I appeal to you to not fear the unexplainable, but to trust Me, I am the Lord of the Kingdom of God, the dominion that will reign forever.” Jesus, The Bridegroom’s Voice
In the same way, you who are younger must accept the authority of the elders. And all of you, dress yourselves in humility as you relate to one another, for “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. 1 Peter 5:5-9
The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but the victory belongs to the Lord . Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. You will not need to fight in this battle.” God’s Word (Proverbs 21; 1 Peter 5; 1 Corinthians 15; 2 Chronicles 20)
“The consequences of people’s self-absorbed life style is difficult to bear. I have walked in your shoes and I understand how you feel. I can empathize with how your outlook o life can be affected as you regularly receive negative input from your world. In light of all my suffering, joy was my choice, I chose to rejoice in the good times and the bad times. Do you have joy? Do yo rejoice in all things? Are you grateful in all seasons?” KimberlyMac Excerpt From: The Bridegroom’s Voice
The cross of Jesus Christ has made us flawless, no matter the hurt or how deep the pain is, the cross has made us flawless. This unconditional love of Jesus is enough to take all the indictments of our enemy as He bore them on the cross and the cross was enough.
This is us… without God… not so much fun is it?? Step away from evil…This is NOT a time to blame GOD this is on us, this is what it looks like to be without God, it isn’t pretty…Don’t lean out of God’s Presence, lean into His Sovereign Sway in times such as these…
