Nine Month Journey ~ A Great God Adventure
The Bridegroom’s Voice is a nine month personal journey with You and God. He will birth something incredibly new in you. Nine Months! Yes, the nine months does have a reason…of course it God purposefully does. In our culture today, we are totally culturalized to get things quickly and then dispose of them just as quickly. Nothing sticks with us. We have this media frenzy going on in our lives and we pursue worldly excitement more than we pursue God. This is the age of impulsivity. Nothing truly satisfies us anymore, we run after something, we get it and then as soon as we get it, we are off to the next new thing. We are an excitement saturated society. This culture with all its excess and excitement greed has truly rubbed off on us. It is time to flesh out and truth in and get wholly-holy aligned with God.
Eternal One: Don’t revel only in the past, or spend all your time recounting the victories of days gone by. Watch closely: I am preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I speak, and you’re about to see it. I am preparing a way through the desert; Waters will flow where there had been none. Wild animals in the fields will honor Me; the wild dogs and surly birds will join in. There will be water enough for My chosen people, trickling springs and clear streams running through the desert. My people, the ones whom I chose and created for My own, will sing My praise. Isaiah 43:18-21 The Voice
Flesh Out ~ Truth In
God wants to cleanse our souls in this season of time and he is asking for a nine month term. God wants to birth something new in us and that takes time set apart to Him. One of the things God wants to rebirth in us is steadfastness. We jump from one thing to another and we have become that way in our relationship with Him. God wants to “flesh out” our impulsiveness. God will take this 9 month time period and birth in us a new steadfastness in our relationship with Him, where he is no longer “scheduled in”, around all of our favorite television programs. God wants to be the all of our everything and He wants a voice in our every moment to our every choice in our lives. He will “flesh out” every worldly attitude in our soul and “Truth In” our spirit a new kingdom reality.
Creating Undivided Hearts
In this culture in this season of time like no other, we have compartmentalized God and have developed these cultural rationalizations where He is allowed in some parts of our lives but not in others. If the Holy Spirit wanted spontaneous attention from us, we would have to check our worldly plans first. Our comfort zone is way to wide and it has created a laziness in our soul! It feels more normal to us to spend time in worldly things then spend time with God in His Word. God is going to flesh this out and create in us an undivided heart towards Him and His Kingdom.
There are two paths before you; you may take only one path. One doorway is narrow. And one door is wide. Go through the narrow door. For the wide door leads to a wide path, and the wide path is broad; the wide, broad path is easy, and the wide, broad, easy path has many, many people on it; but the wide, broad, easy, crowded path leads to death. Now then that narrow door leads to a narrow road that in turn leads to life. It is hard to find that road. Not many people manage it. Matthew 7:13-14 The Voice
Unique Challenge
We don’t belong to this world, we belong to the kingdom of God, this is our future, yet we have been culturalized to fit in more here then there and this is reflected in all of our time decisions. The Bridegroom’s Voice, it is for this season, it is a piece of God Work, for a time such as this. God is speaking, God is fleshing this culture out of us, God is changing us to reflect His kingdom more, God is preparing us to endure and bring Him great honor in the times that ahead. It takes time invested. When is the last time you gave God 9 months of your life. It is very a very unique challenge because we as God’s family are way too rooted to this world and its culture.
Submit Yourself To The Bridegroom’s Voice
Believe me when I say, times that we know are going to be changing radically and we are going to need a steadfast relationship with a living God. That is why I am so passionate about you getting this book: The Bridegroom’s Voice and you journeying through it with Jesus, because I know without a doubt, I did not write it, God did. Even though it has only lately—at the end of the ages—become public knowledge, God always knew he was going to do this for you. It’s because of this sacrificed Messiah, whom God then raised from the dead and glorified, that you trust God, that you know you have a future in God. Now that you’ve cleaned up your lives by following the truth, love one another as if your lives depended on it. Your new life is not like your old life. Your old birth came from mortal sperm; your new birth comes from God’s living Word. Just think: a life conceived by God himself! That’s why the prophet said, the old life is a grass life, its beauty as short-lived as wildflowers; Grass dries up, flowers droop, God’s Word goes on and on forever.
