Isaiah 66:1-2 Eternal One: Heaven is My throne, and earth is where I rest My feet. So what kind of structure would you build Me? What man-made space could provide Me a resting place? Flesh Out ~ Truth In
We need to “flesh out” and “Truth In”. We live in a culture that is likened to a “mediatic frenzy” of everyone’s “say so”. Everybody has an opinion that they forcefully shove into our personal space like it should be our reality. We hear so much cultural “say so” every single day that it is no wonder our peace is fragmented and our civility is lacking.
Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things And it is extremely sick; Who can understand it fully and know its secret motives?
Opinions ~ Say So
Everyone believes in the reality of their own opinion. Most opinions are not based on truth, but they are springing forth on the shaky ground of assumptions. When an opinion is based on a presumption of something that has not even been experienced, it is the worse kind of “say so”, because it has to be violently spewed in order for it to hold any ground and even then all it does is leave behind a mess with misconception waving a flag out of its pugnacious debris.
The choices and consequences are clear. Rely on people alone, and life will be tough and brutish. Rely on the one True God, and life will be rich and productive. The Voice Commentary Jeremiah 17
Presumptions ~ Presuppositions
Presumptions that spring out of someone else’s “day dreaming” unreality, shove our souls daily with a big push of cultural say so. People speak untruths boldly with great authority and they are not even true, but they believe that they are true. It is crazy! People talk like they know it all, yet they know absolutely nothing true. They are presuming on what they “think” they know to be true and they are not even close to knowing the truth. Presuppositions are not truth. Presumptions are not truth. Assumptions are not truth.
Mark 7:19-22 For food doesn’t come in contact with your heart, but only passes through the digestive system.” (By saying this he showed that every kind of food is kosher.) And then he added, “It is the thought-life that pollutes. For from within, out of men’s hearts, come evil thoughts of lust, theft, murder, adultery, 22 wanting what belongs to others, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, pride, and all other folly. Living Bible
Assumptions ~ Rationalizations
Assumption is purely just a settling for something less than truth. How sad is that? Most opinions are assumptions and all assumptions are influenced by our enemy, the father of lies. Assumptions are not true and when we base our life off of an assumption, we are living a lie that won’t stand the test of time. We allow assumptions to rule our thought life, our soul attitudes and our choices and they are not even true. We have got to change this up. The reality we live out of should not be culturally relative rationalization, it should be revelation that comes from our personal relationship with God and His truth.
And now consider this. You know well the times you are living in. It is time for you to wake up and see what is right before your eyes: for salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. The darkness of night is dissolving as dawn’s light draws near, so walk out on your old dark life and put on the armor of light. May we all act as good and respectable people, living today the same way as we will in the day of His coming. Do not fall into patterns of dark living: wild partying, drunkenness, sexual depravity, decadent gratification, quarreling, and jealousy. Instead, wrap yourselves in the Lord Jesus, God’s Anointed, and do not fuel your sinful imagination by indulging your self-seeking desire for the pleasures of the flesh. Romans 13:11-14 The Voice
Words ~ Motives ~ Thoughts ~ Actions
God is interested in us and He desires for us to walk wholly-holy in truth in a reverent and respectful way. God wants us to stand in AWE of His Truth, so much so that we fight the good fight of faith to keep everything in our lives purely truthful. From our thoughts to our motives, to our words, to our actions we must surrender our lives to the Awe, reverence and respect of the purity of truth.
My son, pay attention to all the words I am telling you. Lean in closer so you may hear all I say. Keep them before you; meditate on them; set them safely in your heart. For those who discover them, they are life. They bring wholeness and healing to their bodies. Above all else, watch over your heart; diligently guard it because from a sincere and pure heart come the good and noble things of life. Do away with any talk that twists and distorts the truth; have nothing to do with any verbal trickery. Proverbs 4:20-24 The Voice
Absolute Truth ~ Wholly-Holy
Where absolute truth is not purposefully reigning in our lives, we have a shallow inner peace that will not hold through the tests of time. We need to check our hearts in this generation, take the time needed to “flesh out” our cultural say-so, our earthly viewpoints, our man made opinions that we have falsely made into reality. We need to rid our thoughts of assumptions, presumptions and rationalizations and train our minds to stay with the thought rhythms of the fullness of God’s truth.
He entered our world, a world He made; yet the world did not recognize Him. Even though He came to His own people, they refused to listen and receive Him. But for all who did receive and trust in Him, He gave them the right to be reborn as children of God; 1 John 1 10-12 Living Bible
Purposeful ~ God Providence
The Providence of God is twofold in purpose. God wants to bring forth His goodness in us and His glory for His Kingdom. Our culture trumps the second purpose, we don’t even see it or relate to it. We see things only out of a worldly viewpoint. When God does something and it doesn’t turn out to benefit this world, we blame Him for messing things up for us. We are not open to the mandate of His Providential purposes, only one of them, the one that pertains to us. But God’s Providence is twofold and synonymously so, He works both of these purposes together, so our lives are benefited by His good and His Kingdom is glorified. As it was with Jesus, His Son, He was not sent for the good of the kingdoms of this world, He was sent for our good and the glory of His Kingdom and this is why He was so misunderstood and eventually crucified by our human condition, that only saw one side of the Providence of God. We need to flesh this out, so we never repeat history again.
The creation the prophet sees—the new earth—is radically different from the one everyone knows. At some deep level, everyone recognizes that the everyday world is not the world as God intends it; things are not the way they are supposed to be. But God will make everything new again. In that day, the painful past will recede and vanish. Unbridled joy and celebration will eclipse grief and sorrow. Jerusalem, the holy city, will become the center of the world. Long lives will be the norm. Peace will be secure without exception. God’s blessing will settle over all creation. Creation itself, with all its complexities, will be made new. No predator. No prey. Just peace and harmony throughout. This is a world only God can create when He creates it anew. The Voice Commentary Isaiah 66

I answered that call to be the one and I penned a book that God wrote for a time such as this. It is called: The Bridegroom’s Voice.
