The servant of the man of God got up early and went out. And he saw an army with horses and war-wagons around the city. The servant said to Elisha, “It is bad, sir! What should we do?” 16 He answered, “Do not be afraid. For those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” 17 Then Elisha prayed and said, “O Lord, I pray, open his eyes, that he may see.” And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw. He saw that the mountain was full of horses and war-wagons of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:15-17 New Life Version (NLV)
Upside Down World
There are times in our lives where everything seems topsy-turvy. Where is God? How could God allow this? What is happening? I don’t understand? Why God is this is so unfair? Why God? In these moments where we face the horrific things that our human nature can do, it shakes us to our core. When human beings weaponize against other human beings in ways that we can’t even begin to imagine, we try to wrap our minds around it. We can’t, it just confuses us more. As we grow through this upside-down season of life, we know we have a right side up God who can and will change it up. Today is a good day to bring to our remembrance Whose we are and Who we belong to, and the future we do have, the eternity Jesus died to obtain for us.
Words he breathed and worlds were birthed. “Let there be,” and there it was—Springing forth the moment he spoke. No sooner said than done! With his breath he scatters the schemes of nations who oppose him; they will never succeed. His destiny-plan for the earth stands sure. His forever-plan remains in place and will never fail. Psalm 33:9-11 The Passion Translation
Cultural Viewpoint
In our world today, our viewpoint seems to be positioned at the center of our cultural circumstances of “what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right”. It is so discouraging to us as the godly are being horrifically, falsely accused and the accuser, finger pointer, and condemner, is denying their own sinfulness and falsely accusing others of what they are actually doing. Deny-Accuse is one of the most frustrating, demoralizing attacks of our enemy. People ganging up against people with the battle cry that it is them or us, our way or no way. People doing whatever it takes no matter who they have to run over to hold onto power. Evil people throwing good people under the bus, so they can attain position, title, power and authority. It is a “flesh out” of human indecency in ways we could never imagine the human condition possible of doing. We human beings have fallen far. It is a time of the insanity of politics first over people. These are hard times and we cry out to the One Who has overcome, the worst of human betrayal, Jesus Christ.
There are three things to remember when you suffer mistreatment or persecution for the cause of Christ: The eyes of God rest upon you, God’s heart responds to your prayers, You will experience the blessing of God in spite of your enemies, with nothing to fear. Passion Commentary
Loud Voices
The voice of evil is loud, but that doesn’t make them many or more than those who are for us. In times such as these we must turn away from our own human will power to fight the injustices of our times, we must turn to God and pray it up, listen up and do and say what He says to. We can’t fix this, but God has legions of warring angels who can fight this fight with the evil principalities and powers of darkness. It seems the more the enemy uses people to try to silence faith, the stronger faith becomes. Truth is never extinguished, it’s Light which forever shines forward. Today we pray it up for God to shine a light of truth so bright that no false narrative can stand against it. We ask God to send forth His warring angels, legions of them to fight with the Sword of the Spirit, and the powerful Light of Jesus, which unearths every secreted motive, action and evil deed and brings it to the light of God’s accountability.
Hebrews 1:14 Are not all the angels ministering spirits sent out [by God] to serve (accompany, protect) those who will inherit salvation? [Of course they are!] Amplified Bible
Clarity Of Truth
We are in the era of deceit and deception. Our enemy has unleased demons of deception to strike out against the clarity of our truth. Turning to God, wholly-holy aligns us with the truth He knows and rids us of the stank of Poo-Poo-Politics. The enemy has repeated his false narrative through so many deceived people, that it divisively creates a fake reality, blinding people to the reality of truth. Human power is not enough to fight this fight. We need to fast and pray and call upon God’s legions of warring angels to fight for us in the unseen, to crush the deception and demolish the stronghold of fake reality, bringing people wholly-holy aligned to the truth, God knows.
Psalm 91:10-13 When we live our lives within the shadow of God Most High, our secret hiding place, we will always be shielded from harm. How then could evil prevail against us or disease infect us? God sends angels with special orders to protect you wherever you go, defending you from all harm. If you walk into a trap, they’ll be there for you and keep you from stumbling. You’ll even walk unharmed among the fiercest powers of darkness, trampling every one of them beneath your feet!
“God’s Wisdom is not arrogant, in fact, where pride puffs up, common sense flees, and real perception disintegrates as it is exchanged for the foolishness of fake reality.” KimberlyMac
The Fake Reality
Our human nature has a bad habit of looking at who is against us more than we do Who is for us. Jesus is our Advocate of truth. Yes, we are growing through unprecedented times where human decency, compassion, the right of innocence before proven guilty, and politically weaponized women falsely testifying against men with horrific sexual accusations. It is frightening, the times we are experiencing, especially because none of us have ever been through anything like this, where human beings trash another person’s life and family, with false character assignation in order to grab political power which is fleeting. In order to survive this season of life, for our soul to be well, we must turn to God. There are so many arrogant people positioned in a fake reality, spewing out their hateful, revengeful, bitter, lawless, false narrative. It is so easy to take offense at the character assassination of godly people, to get bitter against the arrogant, hypocrite-laced self-righteousness of people in times such as these. But, this is not God’s way, humility, truth and love is His way. This is why we turn to God and pour out our grief to Him and be filled with His hope, His discernment and His guidance. He’s got this.
GOD alone is my rock and the One Who saves me. He is my strong place. I will not be shaken. My being safe and my honor rest with God. My safe place is in God, the rock of my strength. Trust in Him at all times, O people. Pour out your heart before Him. God is a safe place for us. Psalm 62:6-8 New Life Version
We wait on God, knowing that His ways are not our ways. This spiritual precept, itself brings a trepidation to our souls, because we have to wholly-holy let go and let God do things His way. It is hard to watch godly people suffer and this is center stage on our national scene in days such as these. It stretches our faith as we patiently endure, knowing God has the final say. Yet, the Providential Care of God is in play. These two purposes of God, which intertwine to bring about His Sovereign Will. God is for us in good ways, His purposeful goodness is in play and second, purposefully so, God is bringing glory to His Kingdom. It is the clash of the good and glory that tests our faith and causes us to flesh out, fall before our God and bow in prayer. God’s Providential care with its purposes of our good and His Glory, sometimes does not play out the way that it feels good to our flesh, so therefore, we wait in faith, we watch in hope and then after we patiently endure, we see the glory of God, as the full picture of His goodness unfolds.
For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.” Suffering for Doing Good~ Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. 1 Peter 3:10-14 New Living Translation

Every plot they hatch will simply seal their own doom. For you, my God, you will destroy them, giving them what they deserve. For you are my true tower of strength, my safe place, my hideout, and my true shelter. The Passion Translation
