Still True
This is STILL such good advice as the Bible is STILL so very relevant for us and STILL helps us to live life well, with amazing “Insight” from our Father God. This verse talks about worldly desires, and it is something every one with a “human condition” will be enticed by. Things that we “think” we want, but truly don’t need. When we chase after title, money, prestige, position, power or pleasure , these are worldly desires and because of our humanity, this pursuit will lead us to less than honorable behavior. Putting God first, pursuing God first, chasing after the things of His Kingdom first, we will be people who honor God. It is true, there are things that wage war against our soul, but it is also STILL true that with GOD, wholly-holy aligned with Him, it is well with our soul.
Life Issues
Jesus Is My Life Issue! If I make Jesus my “life issue” shaking off all the things that wage war with my soul, making it the desire of my heart to make the right and honorable choice from every moment, to every choice, my life will bring honor to God today.
