And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Joshua 24:15 The Voice
I Choose…
It is my choice, so today I choose by an act of my free will, I choose, out of my pursuit of God, I choose, because of a love for God that consumes my soul, I choose to serve Him, wholly-holy. I choose to put God first above everyone, everything, everywhere and with my whole heart, I choose to serve God today. I choose God’s character, attitude, personality to be mine today in the all of my everything, I choose to clothe myself with all I know of Him and all of how God is being. I choose today to obey every truth about God’s Kingdom that I know, that He has shown me and taught me. I choose to serve the Kingdom today. I choose to serve God today from every moment to every choice, despite the temptations to my human nature. I choose to flesh out, open my heart up fully to God’s power and be self-controlled in my finite condition by the power of God’s Infinite Holy Spirit, who dwells in me. I choose God first.
Let the word of the Anointed One richly inhabit your lives. With all wisdom teach, counsel, and instruct one another. Sing the psalms, compose hymns and songs inspired by the Spirit, and keep on singing—sing to God from hearts full and spilling over with thankfulness. Surely, no matter what you are doing (speaking, writing, or working), do it all in the name of Jesus our Master, sending thanks through Him to God our Father. For Paul it isn’t enough just to believe the right things. Right belief always produces right living. The gift of salvation demands that we put into practice the character of our King. Just as we take off and throw away old, worn-out clothes, we must strip off certain attitudes and actions of our old selves. Since our lives have been made new in Him, things like sexual immorality, greed, anger, lies, and the rest must find no place in us. But it is not enough to strip off the old; we must put on the new. And that new creation has many qualities of Jesus: compassion, gentleness, and humility; putting up with each other, forgiving each other, and above all, loving each other. These are the ways of Jesus, so they must be our ways too. Colossians 3:16-27 The Voice And Commentary
I Choose…
I choose to serve God’s life today and in everything I do, I choose to add value everywhere He places me today and with everyone I am with, I will add God’s value to their lives, I choose to serve Him, I choose to make every divine appointment He has for me today to add Kingdom value on earth as it is in heaven. I choose to serve God today through unconditional love and a servant’s heart to all of His created. I choose to walk in His infinite love, to expect the best, assume nothing, presume nothing, expect nothing from human beings as I love and serve them, instead, I choose to put all my expectations and hopes in God, Who can do more in them that I could ever hope for or imagine. I choose to love others, not judge them, criticize them or try to change them, but serve them with Kingdom truth and love them, letting go and letting God work in their lives. I choose to serve God through prayer, keeping my conversation constant with Him today, going to Him for every need, asking and receiving His resurrected power in me and through me. I choose life today in whatever decisions I face, whatever is set before me, I will choose the truth, life and ways of Jesus Christ. I choose life for me and for everyone around me, I choose to be a reflection of the life, truth, power, peace and promise of AWE-God by the power of His Holy Spirit. I choose to be clothed in the character of God today. I choose God first.
Timothy, don’t let this happen to you—run away from these things! You are a man of God. Your quest is for justice, godliness, faithfulness, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Paul asks this young leader to shepherd a divided congregation through one problem after another. He points to a time when Jesus will arrive to set this world straight. Fight the good fight of the faith! Cling to the eternal life you were called to when you confessed the good confession before witnesses. Before God—the life-giving Creator of all things—and Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King, who made the good confession to Pontius Pilate, I urge you: keep His commandment. Have a spotless, indisputable record until our Lord Jesus the Anointed appears to set this world straight. 1 Timothy 6:11-14 The Voice
I Choose…
I choose to be God’s servant warrior today, fighting a good fight of faith today, believing, trusting and pressing forward through this day by the power of His Holy Spirit and truth. I choose to be positioned in the promise and purpose of God’s Kingdom and do everything I possibly can to stay holy-aligned with my Savior, Jesus Christ throughout this day and be found in Him, being wholly-holy His. I choose Jesus Christ, I choose to serve the Father God with my whole heart today. I choose to walk with the Holy Spirit today in complete honor, respect, reverence and responsibility to His Kingdom as I wait on Him to act in the all of my everything. I choose to wait hopefully on God, to serve Him as I wait on Him with complete trust, to save, deliver and heal. I choose to serve God in the everything of my all, no matter what my enemy throws into my life path, to not be distracted, but continue serving God first. I choose servant leadership today, I will lead others to Christ through the purity of my attitudes, motives, thoughts, words, actions, awe and belief in the Father God. I choose to be sustained by the Father God today, encouraged in vital-vertical relationship with Jesus and empowered by His Holy Spirit. Simply-Significantly, no doubt about it, I choose Jesus Christ to be first in the all of my everything today. I choose less of me and more of God, less of this world and more of God’s Kingdom. As for me, I choose to love and serve God and His Kingdom unconditionally, wholly-holy today. I choose God first.
I Choose…
“I choose my first step out into my day today to be down. I choose to bow down my whole life in complete surrender to Jesus Christ as my first act of this day. I choose to connect to God heart to heart and spirit to spirit as my first connection of this day. I choose to listen to God as my first voice heard and followed today. I choose God first. I choose followship of Jesus Christ today and I choose to flesh out as I humbly wait before my God, bowed in reverence, honor and respect to be filled and empowered by His Holy Spirit. I bow before You, Lord God and I pray that I won’t miss a thing today, I won’t miss anything You are doing or saying. I choose to be wholly-holy God’s today. I Choose God First.” KimberlyMac
