Keep On!
Matthew 7:7-11
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened. 9 “You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead? 10 Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not! 11 So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” (NLT)
Kindle your heart of compassion through a vital-vertical relationship with God
Isaiah 50:10-11 Who is among you who reverently fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His Servant, yet who walks in darkness and deep trouble and has no shining splendor in his heart? Let him rely on, trust in, and be confident in the name of the Lord, and let him lean upon and be supported by his God. 11 Behold, all you [enemies of your own selves] who attempt to kindle your own fires [and work out your own plans of salvation], who surround and gird yourselves with momentary sparks, darts, and firebrands that you set aflame!—walk by the light of your self-made fire and of the sparks that you have kindled [for yourself, if you will]! But this shall you have from My hand: you shall lie down in grief and in torment. Amplified Bible
***Pray for people and encourage them, kindled by the Light of God’s fire, depend on Him alone! We cannot just do prayer as a task, this is a man made fire that will go out.
Embrace and envelop the Word of God as the foundation of your faith-hope!
Psalm 119:49-50 Remember Your Word to Your servant, for You have given me hope. Your Word has given me new life. This is my comfort in my suffering. (NLV)
*** The Word of God nurtures our hope, it is a place to be in constantly when you are praying for and encouraging others. Take it in, give it out!
Empathize with a soul centered in the passion of God’s heart
Philippians 2:1-4 Are you strong because you belong to Christ? Does His love comfort you? Do you have joy by being as one in sharing the Holy Spirit? Do you have loving-kindness and pity for each other? 2 Then give me true joy by thinking the same thoughts. Keep having the same love. Be as one in thoughts and actions. 3 Nothing should be done because of pride or thinking about yourself. Think of other people as more important than yourself. 4 Do not always be thinking about your own plans only. Be happy to know what other people are doing. (NLV)
*** Express genuine empathy in your prayer for and encouragement to people who need prayer and also those who have asked for prayer. Just think that this could be you, or has been your prayer request at some time and let the empathy of God’s heart flow through you.
Purposefully pursue the promises of God through intercessory prayer
Isaiah 55:11 The words I speak are like that. They will not return to me without producing results. They will accomplish what I want them to. They will do exactly what I sent them to do. (NIRV)
**Pray And Share The Promises Of God For The Person And To The Person Who Has Asked For Prayer. God’s Promises Give Them A Strong Platform To Stand On During Shaky Times.
Offer ongoing hope and belief from faith to faith, being wholly-holy God’s.
Romans 1:16-18 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.
***In your wholly-holy surrender to God, a great faith will be revealed to those you are praying for. Boldness of belief begins in your righteousness, and flows out in a contagious faith to those you are praying for and encouraging.
Never stop asking or encouraging, waiting with an active, prayerful faith!
***Don’t stop praying, encouraging, reaching out until God says so or breakthrough miraculously happens. Never think that a prayer request given you may be a one time prayer, it may be more than you imagined, you may have to press through in prayer, enduring with hope!
