Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. Joshua 22:5 ESV
Settle It~ Your Heart
When I was listening to this incredible song by Kristian Stanfill, I heard the Holy Spirit speak directly into my soul: “You need to settle it, that your heart is Mine. Because if this is settled, if your yes is on the table with Me before I ask the question, then you will be able to trust me in the whatever, however, whenever that my God adventures bring Your way. You won’t need to understand, you will just immediately obey in daring followship of Me.”
Positioned In Followship
I know without a doubt that God wants us to give Him our hearts in that wholly-holy kind of way. The trust meter of our spirit should be on full throttle as we walk through our day and encounter all the new things of God and also all the various kinds of temptations the enemy throws at us. One way to get this kind of trust is to make sure that we begin our day fully surrendered to Jesus. It is good to bow our lives before God daily and position ourselves in followship of Him, therefore wherever He goes on this day, we go.
O Lord, teach me how you want me to live! Then I will obey your commands. Make me wholeheartedly committed to you! Psalm 86:11 NET
Drop Your Understanding
Listening to this song, God also said this to me: “You may not understand what I am doing, it may even seem to you that it is counterproductive from what you have expected or hoped for. Lay down your understanding, because you only see in part and I see in full. Believe that I know what I am doing. Trust me completely. Close the gap between your understanding and your surrender to me. You are holding your understanding up and it is a wedge between us, it is forming a gap. Your YES to Me needs to be on the table with Me no matter what I am doing, you must trust me, be wholly-holy surrendered heart, soul, spirit, will and body to Me.”
Lay Down Your Expectations
“Lay down your expectations, all of them because they feed your desire to understand. Give me your whole life, your wholly-holy trust that is founded upon a pure heart with motives that are completely for My Kingdom and what I am doing now. I am enough for you in this world, do not seek any other compensation or success. Your success is in being faithful to Me in love, hope, trust and followship. I desire all Your heart. Open your heart to me now. I want from You an undivided heart, a kingdom loyalty like no other, so the things of this world grow dim in your heart as it is opened wide to the light of my Kingdom.”
My soul, wait only upon God and silently submit to Him; for my hope and expectation are from Him. He only is my Rock and my Salvation; He is my Defense and my Fortress, I shall not be moved. With God rests my salvation-my glory; He is my Rock of unyielding strength and impenetrable hardness, and my refuge is in God! Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us, a fortress and a high tower. Selah. Psalm 62 Amplified Bible
Pray It Up ~ Be Wholly-Holy-His
Jesus, my heart is Yours, my heart is Yours, take it all, every hope, every dream, every expectation, I put them in Your Hands. You ARE enough for me. I surrender to You, Jesus, completely. I will trust You forever, even if I don’t understand Your ways, I will love You. I will cling to Your Infinite Love in those times that Your Sovereign Will seems so hard to follow. I deny my worldly viewpoint, it is in Your Presence I desire to live, go and have my being in. Take my heart, I pray for it to be in wholly-holy alignment with Your life, presence and will. I long to go where You go, do what You do, be where You are working out Your Kingdom purposes for the good of all.
Pray It Up ~ Life Roots Deeply Dug
I will dig my life roots deeply in Your Kingdom and cling to You, My God, Who is my enough. I don’t need to know more, I don’t need to understand, I need to love You with a complete surrender, making my heart wholly-holy Yours, my life completely in Your Hands, and being used exculsively by You. Take it all, Lord Jesus, my life in Your Hands, my Yes on the table. I let go of all my personal gain in this world, every success that my worldly view point desires and I pray for a Kingdom perspective, I pray for the power, strength and wisdom to be guided by You, Jesus, freely giving You my all in the everything of this life, in hope to be found in Your will from every moment into every choice I make.
I pray that he would give you, according to his glorious riches, strength in your inner being and power through his Spirit, and that the Messiah would make his home in your hearts through faith. Then, having been rooted and grounded in love, you will be able to understand, along with all the saints, what is wide, long, high, and deep— that is, you will know the love of the Messiah — which transcends knowledge, and will be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19 International Standard Version
Pray It Up ~ Shape My Heart
Lord Jesus, take it all, all I have wanted in this world, every expectation, I place at the foot of Your cross, that I might freely follow you into whatever great God Adventure You have for me in this season of my life. I give You, Jesus my whole hearted trust, my entire life, it is Yours. You and Your Kingdom is my enough from here to there unto forever. My God, My King, Jesus shape my heart by Your passions, Your desires, Your will, it is yours, I freely give it to You, forever surrendered and obedient to You, Lord Jesus.
But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. Philippians 1:18-21 New International Version
