Difficult circumstances in life always cause us to question our purpose. Why am I here? Why is my life like this? What if? Lately, I have questioned my future, and had fear about it. Doubt has tempted me lately mainly because of my “over thinking” about my dismal viewpoint of my future. Dealing with the loss of our retirement money was enough financial fret and now with our life insurance policy we had all these years, in jeopardy of being cancelled, I have felt tremendous anxiety about the future. When I look to my future, I see no financial stability, no hope and I question what the purpose in all this loss in our life is? Thinking about things from my viewpoint, making assumptions and over thinking on them, and asking “What If” questions, has done nothing good for me, because now I am questioning my purpose! Forgive me Jesus and be the Way-Maker of my thoughts, hopes and dreams and be my wisdom. AWE-GOD!
Deuteronomy 4:39-40
“So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. 40 If you obey all the decrees and commands I am giving you today, all will be well with you and your children. I am giving you these instructions so you will enjoy a long life in the land the Lord your God is giving you for all time.” New Living Translation
You Are God Alone By: Philip Craig Dean
I was regretting the past and fearing the future. Suddenly God was speaking: “My name is I am.” I waited and God continued: “When you live in the past, with its mistakes and regrets, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I was. When you live in the future, with its problems and fears, it is hard. I am not there. My name is not I will be. When you live in this moment, it is not hard. I am here. My name is I AM.” Quote By: Helen Mellincost
Jeremiah 29:11-12
For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. 12 Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you.

What If? What if questions damn up the flow of God’s purpose in my life by their insinuating doubt, unbelief and mistrust of God. My enemy likes to answer my “What If” question with fear, doubt, despair and discouragement, but my AWE-GOD, He has already answered that question and He wants me to reflect upon HIM, the future and hope I have in HIM and His Kingdom and be grateful for the purpose He has designed me for in my right here and my right now. God is in my now and in control of my today! I wait on His purpose and wisdom.
Psalm 92:13-15
Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. 14 [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. 15 [They are living memorials] to show that the Lord is upright and faithful to His promises; He is my Rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him Amplified Bible
God is doing a greater work in us, and that can only come as we learn to trust him no matter how dark the days and sleepless the nights. And it is only as we have been through the darkness with him that what we know with our heads slides down into our hearts, and our hearts no longer demand answers. The Why? becomes unimportant when we believe that God can and will redeem the pain for our good and his glory…. When I put the sovereignty of God beside his unfailing love, my heart can rest. Philippians 3:13-16
I do not consider, brethren, that I have captured and made it my own [yet]; but one thing I do [it is my one aspiration]: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the [supreme and heavenly] prize to which God in Christ Jesus is calling us upward. So let those [of us] who are spiritually mature and full-grown have this mind and hold these convictions; and if in any respect you have a different attitude of mind, God will make that clear to you also. Only let us hold true to what we have already attained and walk and order our lives by that. Amplified Bible;”>
God always has a purpose for us, He purposed us from the beginning. He wanted us, He designed us, He put within us His great purpose. I am the only I, no one can be me, that in itself is purpose enough. No one has my destiny; in fact, no one even has my fingerprints! I must be who God created me to be, because I am a part of God’s puzzle, I am a piece He designed to fit in and help make up The Bride of Christ, His Body, His Family! AWE-GOD! However and for whatever God has created me, I have Kingdom Purpose flowing in my life and God wisdom from every moment to every choice I make. Fearfully and wonderfully made am I!
Psalm 139:11-16
If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me and the night shall be [the only] light about me, 12 Even the darkness hides nothing from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. 13 For You did form my inward parts; You did knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I will confess and praise You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was being formed in secret [and] intricately and curiously wrought [as if embroidered with various colors] in the depths of the earth [a region of darkness and mystery]. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days [of my life] were written before ever they took shape, when as yet there was none of them. John 14:8-13
Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.” 9 Jesus replied, “Have I been with you all this time, Philip, and yet you still don’t know who I am? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking me to show him to you? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak are not my own, but my Father who lives in me does his work through me. 11 Just believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or at least believe because of the work you have seen me do. 12 “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. 13 You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. God has equipped me with everything I need to carry out the purposes He purposed for me, for my life. My first call is to HIM, to a vital-vertical relationship with HIM and His Son. No matter what my human condition throws out at me, I am equipped by Almighty God, my Way-Maker! Simply-Significantly So! AWE-GOD!
2 Timothy 3:13-17 Keep the Message Alive
10-13 You’ve been a good apprentice to me, a part of my teaching, my manner of life, direction, faith, steadiness, love, patience, troubles, sufferings—suffering along with me in all the grief I had to put up with in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra. And you also well know that God rescued me! Anyone who wants to live all out for Christ is in for a lot of trouble; there’s no getting around it. Unscrupulous con men will continue to exploit the faith. They’re as deceived as the people they lead astray. As long as they are out there, things can only get worse.
14-17 But don’t let it faze you. Stick with what you learned and believed, sure of the integrity of your teachers—why, you took in the sacred Scriptures with your mother’s milk! There’s nothing like the written Word of God for showing you the way to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another—showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us. The Message

God does not call those who are equipped; He equips those whom He has called.
Quote By Smith Wigglesworth
Victory over all the circumstances of life comes not by might, nor by power, but by a practical confidence in God and by allowing His Spirit to dwell in our hearts and control our actions and emotions. Learn in the days of ease and comfort so that when the days of hardship come you will be fully prepared and equipped to meet them. Quote By Eric Liddell
Psalm 1: 1-3
Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. 2 But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night.3 They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.New Living Translation
I can be His purpose fulfilled on earth as it was designed in heaven, shaped specifically by AWE-GOD with His endgame in mind. God has a plan, He has specific wisdom for me. His ways are not our ways, but they are better because they are not resting on the temporary, they have an eternal edge. “What If” questions always take us down the road of futuristic assumption, by the way of presuppositions, which our enemy uses to take aim at our weakness and fears. “What If” questions allure our impulsive nature and step us quickly off the path of God’s Presence into a self-dependence mode, void of God’s wisdom, that is will driven by an “I am going to fix this” mentality, which is a highway to hell! God calls me off the dead-end streets of self, calls me to Himself 1st. Though I am tempted, I am beckoned to the Cross, where I Wholly HOLY give my life to HIM. Tempted and tried yet always, I sin NOT as I hope to make the right choice the 1st time in the all of my everything.
James 1:13-15
Let no one say when he is tempted, I am tempted from God; for God is incapable of being tempted by [what is] evil and He Himself tempts no one. 14 But every person is tempted when he is drawn away, enticed and baited by his own evil desire (lust, passions). 15 Then the evil desire, when it has conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin, when it is fully matured, brings forth death.Amplified Bible
Sin aims always at the utmost; every time it rises up to tempt or entice, if it has its own way it will go out to the utmost sin in that kind. Every unclean thought or glance would be adultery if it could, every thought of unbelief would be atheism if allowed to develop. Every rise of lust, if it has its way reaches the height of villainy; it is like the grave that is never satisfied. The deceitfulness of sin is seen in that it is modest in its first proposals but when it prevails it hardens men’s hearts, and brings them to ruin. Quote By John Owen

Our enemy answers the “What If” questions with a panel of experts that give us the sinister, evil human viewpoint.

Dear friend, listen well to my words; tune your ears to my voice. Keep my message in plain view at all times. Concentrate! Learn it by heart! Those who discover these words live, really live; body and soul, they’re bursting with health. 23-27 Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts. Don’t talk out of both sides of your mouth; avoid careless banter, white lies, and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead; ignore all sideshow distractions. Watch your step, and the road will stretch out smooth before you. Look neither right nor left; leave evil in the dust. The Message
It is easy in ministry or in life, to begin to rely on acquired knowledge instead of fresh knowledge revealed. We must maintain our union with God to enjoy fresh oil and then there is no old oil. The life of God or presence of God can’t be stored, it has to be current. It is a well of life, continually outflowing.

Mark 1:14-16
Now after John was arrested and put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The [appointed period of] time is fulfilled (completed), and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent (have a change of mind which issues in regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel).Amplified Bible
When you get invited to a “pouty party” on “what if” street, you will find yourself in the uninvited guest kind of company who will say all kinds of outrageous things to tempt you and steal your truth. Mr. Fear Says:

The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step]. 24 Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him. 25 I have been young and now am old, yet have I not seen the [uncompromisingly] righteous forsaken or their seed begging bread. 26 All day long they are merciful and deal graciously; they lend, and their offspring are blessed. 27 Depart from evil and do good; and you will dwell forever [securely].Amplified Bible

Mr. Doubt Says:
“God can’t take care of you, you need to take care of yourself, do what it takes to make sure your future is secure. Step out of what God wants you to do, because that is not providing for your future. You need to make as much money as you can right now, so your future is secure. Do what you want, doing what God wants is not profitable to you in this culture. Be what you want to be. Going God’s way has done nothing for you. Look at where you are. Is this the best your God can do? You can do better for yourself.”
God Says:
Ephesians 3:18-21
And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. 19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.n20 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. 21 Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! The truth, even though I cannot feel it right now, is that I am the chosen child of God, precious in God’s eyes, called the Beloved from all eternity and held safe in an everlasting embrace… We must dare to opt consciously for our chosenness and not allow our emotions, feelings, or passions to seduce us into self-rejection. Quote By Henri J. M. Nouwen
Mr. Rationalization Says:
“Why are you tithing? You have lost everything for your future needs; put that money away in your savings for your future instead of giving it to the church. God would want you to have something put away for your future. You are in debt and the right thing to do would be to put some of that money towards your debt. God doesn’t want you to be in debt, He would rather you get out of debt before you tithe to Him. This is not the way to your prosperity, think about yourself first.”
God Says:
Malachi 3:10
Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

Who is it that is your Shepherd? The Lord! Oh, my friends, what a wonderful announcement! The Lord God of heaven and earth, and Almighty Creator of all things, He who holds the universe in His hand as though it were a very little thing. He is your shepherd, and has charged himself with the care and keeping of you, as a shepherd is charged with the care and keeping of his sheep. If your hearts could really take in this thought you would never have a fear or a care again; for with such a Shepherd how could it be possible for you ever to want any good thing? Quote By Hannah Whitall Smith
Mr. Discouragement Says:
“You have failed to become a “someone” in this life. Look at you. No money. No home. No job. How foolish of you not to step up and do whatever it takes to take care of yourself and get what you need. You are such a failure; you never finish what you start. You have no friends. You are always alone. No one even calls you all day long, not even your family. No one wants to be in relationship with you. What have you done with your life? Nothing! You spend all day “working for Jesus” and what do you have to show for your life? Nothing! Nobody really cares about what you write. Stop fooling yourself. Get a real job!”
God Says:
Proverbs 14:7-13
Cynics look high and low for wisdom—and never find it; the open-minded find it right on their doorstep! 7 Escape quickly from the company of fools; they’re a waste of your time, a waste of your words. 8 The wisdom of the wise keeps life on track; the foolishness of fools lands them in the ditch. 9 The stupid ridicule right and wrong, but a moral life is a favored life. 10 The person who shuns the bitter moments of friends will be an outsider at their celebrations. 11 Lives of careless wrongdoing are tumbledown shacks; holy living builds soaring cathedrals. 12-13 There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Sure, those people appear to be having a good time, but all that laughter will end in heartbreak. The Message

The cost of true greatness is humble, selfless, sacrificial service. The Christian who desires to be great and first in the kingdom is the one who is willing to serve in the hard place, the uncomfortable place, the lonely place, the demanding place, the place where he is not appreciated and may even be persecuted. Knowing that time is short and eternity is long, he is willing to spend and be spent. He is willing to work for excellence without becoming proud, to withstand criticism without becoming bitter, to be misjudged without becoming defensive, and to withstand suffering without succumbing to self pity. Quote By John MacArthur
Mr. Despair Says:
“Look at your life. You have nothing. You are going down fast, an economic disaster waiting to happen. You have no reason to continue. Look at yourself. You have not accomplished anything in this life and you will end up being a big burden on someone when you get older. You have no money, no job, no health insurance, no life insurance, no retirement fund… nothing. This is a pretty miserable show for yourself, child of God. It is not going to get better. End it all now. Why wait and go through all that humiliation, pain and suffering. It is not going to get better. You have no future and no hope of a future, you have lost everything.”
God Says:
2 Corinthians 4:7-14 Treasure in Jars of Clay
But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. 12 So death is at work in us, but life in you. 13 Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, 14 knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence. Never Once By Matt Redman
A Christian may for many days together see neither sun nor star, neither light in God’s countenance, nor light in his own heart, though even at that time God darts some beams through those clouds upon the soul; the soul again by a spirit of faith sees some light through those thickest clouds, enough to keep it from utter despair, though not to settle it in peace. In this dark condition, if they do as Paul and his company did, cast an anchor even in the dark night of temptation, and pray still for day, God will appear, and all shall clear up, we shall see light without and light within; the day-star will arise in their hearts. Quote By Richard Sibbes
“What if” questions are dangerous mind paths to follow, because they take you out of the Presence of God, out of the reality of His Kingdom Purposes, a perspective that holds a constant view of real truth, real life, real hope and your real future. A Kingdom perspective is never proceeded by a “What if” question. “What If” questions chain us to finite bondage that only God and His truth can release the stronghold of. We can get easily chained to despair by doubtful, unbelieving mind thought patterns. God wants to break those chains, give us His freedom, strength and joy that the enemy wants to keep us from by chaining us to negative thinking.
Romans 12:1-3
I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. 2 Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

In conclusion to this “Purposefully So” Exhortation, a final thought:
What if questions center us on ourselves and they steal our JOY focus, our Kingdom Perspective Of: Jesus, Others, You. We are called to God 1st, our loyalty is to His Kingdom 1st. Jesus is 1st in our lives, others second and what we want third. This is Infinite Living With A Kingdom Perspective Purposefully So. This life is not so much about us, our personal successes, our titles, our positions, our bank accounts, our investments, our bright future here. If that were so, then we could take all of that with us. Truly, all we take with us when our personally designed time is up is the “heart treasures” we have gained in the character of our spirit.
