My September 11th Never Forget Tribute
I come from a long line of “civil servants” in my family. Police Officers, Firemen, Civil defense directors, Detectives, Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Secret Service, these have been the people our family line has had in it. So today, September 11th, a day when the memory of our civil servants is a sad one, I honor all civil servants, by posting hope and encouragement to all today, because that is what the honorable and courageous lives of these precious family members, these civil servants gave me. God bless your day! September 11th is a day I will never forget to honor civil servants and to give them the respect due them.

The love of Jesus Christ has won. It was not in a way we could ever begin to imagine that the Son of God would do for us, He laid down every last inch of His pride and the rights of Who He was, He shed them for us. He will continue to reach for us no matter the debt of our human depravity. God’s heart desire is to leave no one behind. He proved that by humbly going to the cross for every single one of us. This is how love wins.

Today, may our knees hit the ground and fervently pray for our world. Bowing before God we reach out to Him and surrender our human condition. Today, in times such as these, we stay close to God in vital-vertical relationship. Yes, we touch God’s heart, we know His heart passions and we reveal His heart to others.

As we remember the human atrocities in our past, we also remember the true followship of God they evoked in us, the turning of our nation back to the only One Who could heal us, restore us and give us a future and hope.

We were wounded as a nation by humans and beyond the repair of humans. The grace of God saturated our wounded souls. This same God Grace is still here today, still extended for all.

We are God’s Handiwork. He transformed even the worst imaginable tragedy into good, in that special way only He could. He created us and gifted us in ways that make our spirit strong as we cling to Him. We have incredible strength, courage and wisdom that we find in Him. We are His Handiwork and nothing will ever change or alter that, not even September 11th and the fury of our enemies could change Who we are in Christ Jesus and who He has the power to make us to be.

We will never forget the treachery of the human heart is great and the enemies of God’s freedom, many. Even so, God will always be our guard of our hearts and lives. Despite our bad memories of the treachery of our flawed human condition, in Jesus, we have an amazing future and hope.

The human condition with its free will can lash out at each other with such unimaginable atrocities. It is hard to forget some of them. They do shape our character, but not our identity. Our identity remains in Christ no matter what, and we will forever be people of the cross of Jesus. We will never forget how He died a violent death at the hands of humanity. Jesus died our death, we live His life.

Out of the rubble of our past, we have chosen life, we have chosen a new way to live, laugh and love. Death has brought forth life in us, new life, a way of civility, a way of trust, a way of absolute truth, a way of respect of our AWE-GOD. How amazing our God is!
