We are cracked and chipped from our afflictions on all sides, but we are not crushed by them. We are bewildered at times, but we do not give in to despair. We are persecuted, but we have not been abandoned. We have been knocked down, but we are not destroyed. 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 The Voice
Good News
We have a Rescuer! Jesus, powerful Jesus. We are afflicted yet God’s Grace abounds through His Advocacy and the strength of His Promise of being with us, forever. Jesus has the farthest reach, from here to there unto forever. His Providential care is abounding in our today, for our good and for His Kingdom glory.
Overwhelmed?
Are you ignored? Are you weary? Are you lonely? Are you hurting? Are you sick? Are you seeking? Are you bitter? Cling to Jesus, even the mention of His name is a powerful shattering of the oppression of fear, anxiety and doubt. Don’t underestimate the power of the enemy, but also, don’t underestimate the purposes of God in play in your life right now, working towards your good and the glory of God. Trust God, He is a Way-Maker and there is nothing too hard for Him. Overwhelmed? God will rescue you in that way you can’t even begin to hope for or imagine.
“One life on this earth is all that we get, whether it is enough or not enough, and the obvious conclusion would seem to be that at the very least we are fools if we do not live it as fully and bravely and beautifully as we can.” Quote By Frederick Buechner
Purposefully Jesus Came
We praise Jesus, the Only One, Who can improve what our enemy has devalued in us. The Good News of the day, is Jesus, and His pursuit of us. He came to us, ready and willing to sacrifice His life for us, and this showed the depth of His devotion towards us as He leaned into the Sovereign Sway of our Father God. In this moment, God’s Holy Spirit is chasing us down with a sweet redemption, empowered by Calvary’s Cross, a resurrection power that is able to rescue us out of the worst of situations, a power that defies death. There is no one to far away from God, no one out of His reach. There is no devil darkness the enemy can’t shatter with the Light and Truth of our Rescuer, Jesus Christ.
Got Mind Ruts?
Our Rescuer is here, with resurrection power that lifts the weight of our afflictions. We must stay the impulsive emotions that run us ragged and deeply rut our mind with worry, fear and anxiety. God is our enough. When we are being chased down by the enemy, we should stop and drop at the foot of the Cross of Jesus, this is holy ground where are enemy is not going to tread. Our next grand gesture in response to our Rescuer, is one of surrender, giving Jesus total access to the all of our everything, letting His power permeate our human condition and change it up, in that forever kind of way.
Deadened?
Many of us know the parched soul of a religiosity that has failed us. We know a spirit consumed and overtaken by doubt, chained to fear to the point of being a captive of dread? Chainless and fearless at the foot of Calvary, we praise Jesus, our Rescuer, Who has freed us forevermore, as we stand in His abounding grace. Today we can be led out of our dead ends by the Light of God’s Truth.
Isaiah 61:3 As for those who grieve over Zion, God has sent me to give them a beautiful crown in exchange for ashes, To anoint them with gladness instead of sorrow, to wrap them in victory, joy, and praise instead of depression and sadness. People will call them magnificent, like great towering trees standing for what is right. They stand to the glory of the Eternal who planted them. The Voice
A Devilish Disrupter
Hopelessness is such a devilish disrupter. Our hearts can be blinded by the disruption of our light of hope, by the darkness of despair. Despair is a stank that overtakes our soul, creating dank bleakness which discolors our attitudes and feeds negativity into our spirit. We can find ourselves wallowing in a pit of desolation where our whirlwind emotions dig ruts so deep that there is no hope of escape. Jesus rescues us with a stunning light that shatters the darkness of our affliction, guiding us up and out of our pity pit and restoring within us a beauteous soul courage, which is not afraid to take every negative thought captive, casting it out of our soul and raising up a standard of truth.
Soul Peace
We strive to fit into a world where we don’t belong and this desire for friendship with the world, can stumble us into sin and separate us from our intimate relationship with God, and our soul peace. Round peg, square hole. Not happening. The world has ignored us, creating a displacement of our soul, a weariness of will-powered striving to belong. The exhausting journey of seeking approval, can totally deplete our soul. Feeling displaced is a lie from the enemy. In Christ we are never displaced, our home is not here, it is in His Kingdom. We are easily tricked into thinking we don’t fit in and a spiritual loneliness is the follow-up scheme of the enemy. Our soul can be saturated with loneliness in that way where it actually causes our body to hurt, our will to depress and our spirit to grieve. A void is created in our spirit, which can only be filled by a wholly-holy friendship with Jesus. This relationship yields an undivided heart and a personal identity which is fully positioned in Christ. The Rescuer, Jesus is the solution to feeling displaced, lonely and seeking to please others.
AWE-GOD
Beauty for the blind and riches for the poor, this is part of our rescue. Jesus gives friendship, for the one the world ignores, passion for the weary, and rest for those who strive. Jesus is our Rescuer and He is the way, the truth, the life, from which grace abounds in our liberation. Jesus is our guaranteed freedom from sin, as He rescues us from the deception of our enemy, giving us His wisdom to make the right choices with. There is redemption from every enemy affliction, as we recover in the Presence of our Redeemer, our rescuer, our Way-Maker God. What an miraculously incredible Liberator Jesus is, as He makes a creative way of recovery, renewing our soul, and refurbishing our spirit. Awe-God.
Ephesians 4: 13-15 These grace ministries will function until we all attain oneness in the faith, until we all experience the fullness of what it means to know the Son of God, and finally we become one perfect man with the full dimensions of spiritual maturity and fully developed in the abundance of Christ. And then our immaturity will end! And we will not be easily shaken by trouble, nor led astray by novel teachings or by the false doctrines of deceivers[c] who teach clever lies. But instead we will remain strong and always sincere in our love as we express the truth. All our direction and ministries will flow from Christ and lead us deeper into Him, the anointed Head of His body, the church.
