A Great Choice
Thankfulness! It is still a great choice to be Awe-God Grateful, giving thanks for Who God is, not depending on own strength, but being enveloped in His, leaning into His understanding and swaying with the Sovereign wind of His Holy Spirit flowing into our heart, soul, mind, will and spirit. Yes, it is still a very good day to be wholly-holy His.
“Shout with joy to the Lord, all the earth! Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy. Acknowledge that the Lord is God! He made us, and we are his. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving; go into his courts with praise. Give thanks to him and praise his name. For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation.” Psalms 100:1-5 NLT
Radical! Yes… We belong to God!
We belong to God! So how do we grow up as His Children? How do we mature spiritually? Why do you think it is that we choose to stay so immature in our Christianity? Well, tough question isn’t it? For me it was definitely a lack of gratefulness and thanksgiving unto God. When I flip flopped my discontentment with contentment in Christ, things changed up in my heart. It began to be a focus on less of what I didn’t have and more of what I did have. I developed and Awe-GOD Gratefulness, a thankful heart and that is what started a radical transformation in my life. Radical Transformation? That sounds radical! Actually, it was a simple adjustment in my walk with Jesus. I began to look less upon my worldly viewpoint and more walking out of a Kingdom Perspective. I know that sounds super religiosity, but actually it was not, it was the oppositive from religion. I began to “Make It Personal” with God, heart to heart with Him in what I now call, Vital-Vertical Relationship with God.
Lean Into Gratefulness
My heart leans into gratefulness now, much, much more than discontentment. Through having a Thankful heart, much has changed in me, it has actually activated my faith in a way that I never knew possible for me. I believed in Jesus Christ, but I did not completely believe Him. I had doubts that surfaced during hard trials. I also had an undivided heart (Psalm 86:1-12) I compartmentalized my life, God was not given total access to my life. I can joyfully say that I don’t doubt God anymore, that my heart is no longer divided. I know, without a doubt, He is working in the unseen for my good, but I also desire more for His Kingdom good than my own. I now know God’s Holy Spirit, and remain in a constant conversation with Him! I am thankful and I know the joy of His Advocacy over me.
Wicked people have surrounded me. But I have not forgotten your teachings. In the middle of the night, I get up to thank you because your laws are right. You are good, and you do what is good. Teach me your demands. Your teachings are worth more to me than thousands of pieces of gold and silver. You made me and formed me with your hands. Give me understanding so I can learn your commands. Let those who fear you rejoice when they see me because I put my hope in your word. Psalms 119:61-62,68,72-74
Dive Into Awe-GOD Gratefulness
The thing that changed me so much was the diving into Awe-God gratefulness as I got into the Word and began to look for God. What was He like? I learned so much about His character and realized throughout the Old Testament all the way through the New Testament, God was for us, for our best and He loved us so well. So yes, I want to grow up with an Awe-GOD Gratefulness and I want to everyday strengthen the thanksgiving in my heart, the reverence, the honor, the joy of belonging to God. The best advice I could give you is to develop your Awe of God. Do what it takes to have an Awe-GOD gratefulness alive and well in your soul.
No More Whining
It is time to Grow Up! Yes, these are perilous times where it is important to have that vital-vertical relationship with God. The Whisper of The Holy Spirit of God is still guiding us, navigating us in times such as these, and this is makes for less anxiety and more wise choices. YES, God is still here. He has not left the world! Maybe things are not going the way we have planned, I am sure that is more than a maybe in times such as these. God doesn’t do things our ways, and it is probably best to put all your expectations in His Hands. So, what is our recourse as God continues doing things His way, and making us very uncomfortable at times?? Is it Whining??? Is it flesh out as we throw up our dark emotions of disappointment, doubt, and despair all over everyone? I hope not! We Need To Grow Up In Christ! I have heard enough whining from myself and other human beings to last me a life time. Yes, we definitely need to grow up! What does whining do? Absolutely nothing but pass on the contagion of hopelessness. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen and Awe God gratefulness, developing it, this increases our faith as we focus tightly in on the object of our Faith through the Word of God, our Triune God! #ListenUp To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video:
The Power Of Gratefulness
I have this incredible, gratefulness as I know without a doubt, God is still on the move, God is still speaking, God is still working for our good, there is no doubt about that. His time table may be a bit slower than ours, but His Promises stand faithful, and His truth endures. He is WHO He says He is, and we can take that to the bank! It is a great time, this season of Thanksgiving to become so aware of all God has done for us, but mostly what He is doing for us now. So, make that choice to stop looking in the rearview mirror and let’s walk forward. Yes, our culture is corrupting, but I am not losing sleep over it. I accept that we have tough times and harder times ahead, but the truth stabilizes me, the truth I know that God has not abdicated His power, or His authority and God is absolutely still in control! Yes, lots of challenges happening now, yet for every challenge I face, He will deliver me faithfully, and purposefully out of it. Truth is the foundation of my grateful heart, it stabilizes me by giving me a gratefulness that is never shaken by hard days. This is a great video with a lot of wisdom on what we need to do in times such as these:
Step Out Today God Grateful On A God Promise
God is truthful, God is faithful, so pick out a God Promise and step out on that firm footing of gratefulness, every single day. Instead of rolling out of bed as a naysayer, let your first step out be down, bowed before God, letting God put Your Spiritual Armor on so you can be an encouragement instead of a “Debbie Downer”. Be Grateful! Be Thankful! We do have a Rescuer; He is working in the unseen for our good, and has a fantabulous endgame in mind. Yes, God is doing things His ways, and sometimes that is very uncomfortable for our flesh, YES, way outside our comfort zones, and the things He does STILL works out in amazing ways to our advantage, even if we can’t see it at first, it always ends well for us. Even in spite of our whining, kicking, screaming, and bucked up WILL, God, He STILL shows off His incredible power and wisdom for us, in ways we could not even begin to imagine He could. AweGOD! I asked the Lord for help, and he answered me. He saved me from all that I feared. Those who go to him for help are happy. They are never disgraced. Examine and see how good the Lord is. Happy is the person who trusts the Lord. The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him. He saves them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted. He saves those whose spirits have been crushed. People who do what is right may have many problems. But the Lord will solve them all. Psalms 34:4-5,8,17-19
Be Grateful For God’s Protection And Provision
I can’t be thankful enough for our God, Who is simply-significantly amazing at taking our human messes and making something miraculously awesome out of them. Our human condition does not scare God! AweGOD 🙌 So, these are the days where maybe we decide to GROW UP, activate our faith, and stop whining, putting our trust wholly-holy in God, Who has been from generation to generation, a faithful and trustworthy God of Justice, Protection and Provision! We have so much to be thankful for. Why do we grumble so much? Flip that grumbling to gratitude and grow up in Christ! More than ever in times such as this, it is really a good time for us to put away our childishness and grow up in our faith and trust of God. He’s got this, so we let be, be still and let God Work, prayerfully watching, waiting in endurance and seeing in the end, His greatness. The best position for us as we “grow through” is in followship of God. https://thebridegroomscafe.com/upward-focus/
“Someone in Scripture who’s also known for his cries of help is David. Time and time again in the Psalms, he pours out his heart, lamenting in anguish and asking God for deliverance from his enemies as well as praising Him for His goodness. In Psalm 121:1, David says, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” I believe the word “help” is powerful, showing both vulnerability and need. And even after asking for it, the act of receiving help makes way for a newfound closeness between the giver and the receiver. God is ready to offer you help. He’s listening for your cries—and He’s so faithful to answer. Through this song, I hope you sing out at the top of your lungs and receive help from the One who is always there and offers freedom and deliverance with outstretched hands.” Brandon Lake #ListenUp To Song HELP
