Hebrews 2: 1-3 A Warning Not to Drift from Truth ~ This is why it is so crucial that we be all the more engaged and attentive to the truths that we have heard so that we do not drift off course. 2 For if the message of the law spoken and confirmed by angels brought a just penalty to every disobedient violation; 3 then how would we expect to escape punishment if we despise the very truths that give us life? Cancel God Cultural Current

It is not easy to walk against the current. The countercultural current of our time is a “Cancel God Current” so walk in love, splashing up truth. How? Listen Up: Are you walking against the “Cancel God Current”? A lot of people don’t want God or anything to do with Him in our culture and many things are being changed up in our nation so what is good is resolutely, with evil intent, interpreted to be bad and what is bad is devilishly depicted to be is good. It is hard to navigate against this kind of godless cultural current. That makes things really hard on Christians, because we then have to walk against the cultural current and feel the wrath of its punishment, persecution and defamation. Some people find that cross current walking is very spiritually exhausting, and find themselves soul and compassion fatigued very quickly. As the cancel God cultural current gets stronger, it feels like we are going to be swept up with it and we stress out trying our hardest to navigate this cancel God cultural current. It is so easy to give up and begin to tolerate a current that is prevalent, trying to comfortably walk in it and in doing this, we will begin to drift off with it.

“Drifting away from God, we have been carried away from what we once believed about God, Jesus, the Bible, and the church, by the current of culture and unbelief. The interesting thing about drifting away from God is that we drift and we don’t even know that we are drifting. Drifting happens slowly, and many times unintentionally. Large steps away from God always begins with a thousand small steps away from Him.” Marvin Williams

Cross Current Walker

God’s Truth is a strong anchor in times such as this and is an amazing help to keep us from slowly drifting away from God. We must make it a priority to stay in God’s Word. As we walk against the Cancel God Culture, we become a “Cross Cultural Current” living God’s way, truth and life as we walk and sharing God’s love and truth with others along the way. We can’t walk against the “Cancel God Current” alone. We need God’s help and navigation. So our relationship with God must become the most vital relationship of our life, I call it a vital-vertical relationship. In followship of God, we will be equipped as being God’s “Cross Current Walkers” and we will thrive walking in and out of the victory He has already provided.

Jesus the Living Vine ~ “I am a true sprouting vine, and the farmer who tends the vine is my Father. 2 He cares for the branches connected to me by lifting and propping up the fruitless branches and pruning every fruitful branch to yield a greater harvest. 3 The words I have spoken over you have already cleansed you. 4 So you must remain in life-union with me, for I remain in life-union with you. For as a branch severed from the vine will not bear fruit, so your life will be fruitless unless you live your life intimately joined to mine. John 15: 1-4 The Passion Translation

Cross Current Stride

Live a life of love, a life in love with Jesus, listen up to Him, let Him navigate you. Give God the pen, let Him write your life story, this is totally an amazing way to live life in this world we are in, but don’t belong too. We were saved to serve and the only way to be like this is connected heart to heart with God. The best is yet to come, so be best while you are here, by strengthening your inner spiritual core, staying in a vital-vertical relationship with Jesus, and using your time wisely and powerfully, by staying wholly-holy aligned, heart to heart with God. When we walk with a cross current stride, we will definitely make an eternal difference. So, off we go walking against the cultural tide, splashing up God’s truth all over everyone we meet along the way!
