We drifted away from you, our nation and every nation and we tried to do what we thought was best. The problem with that is our human condition is very corruptible and when it goes downhill, it goes down fast and hard. Bring us out of the fog of deceit that has blanketed our nations. Who is among you who [reverently] fears the Lord, who obeys the voice of His Servant, yet who walks in darkness and deep trouble and has no shining splendor [in his heart]? We have as Isaiah 50:10-11 says… we kindle our own fire and we walked by the light of a man made fire and now we lay down in torment. Exactly as we were warned that apart from God, we are not good. We were created to need God. So, we do confess our faults, thinking we know best, pride. Walking in our own strength, self-righteousness. Making our own way as we went along, tossing out what was right and embracing the easy, broad path of sin. We were deceived, You, Lord God are what is good for us. We have been self-centered people, looking out for our own interests, pushing our opinions like they were truth and creating an atmosphere for deception to rule us. We, we are a mess, a big human mess, so we turn from the inside-out to our God, we acknowledge our sin, we confess, we ask to be restored in relationship with God. Jesus, You are the Light that no one, and nothing can extinguish, embrace us in Your Light of Truth.
In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men. And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it [put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it]. All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being. He was present originally with God. IN THE beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.[Isa. 9:6.] John 1:1-5

We ask God to restore our spiritual soul, mind and heart, we pray and we seek God, changing our position to being underneath the Rulership of His Love. God created us, God knows what is best for us, so we yield to His way, His methods, His truth and His life. We pray for the power of God to transform us, to work through us to revive our world in the goodness of God.

God does not forsake the work of His hands and for this promise we all are eternally grateful. God will finish what He started in us, in our human condition He will infuse His glory.
