Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. No Prescriptivism ~ Get Personal With God ~ Respond Accordingly
Prescriptivism is the human conditioned prescriptive for telling us how we should act, how we should be found in times such as these. Prescriptivism is people, leading people with their own opinion of what is right to do, right to be and if you don’t follow after their prescripted behaviors, they label you, and they falsely accuse you and hatefully condemn you. I choose to be found in Christ Jesus, to give Him total access to my mind, soul, will, spirit and be wholly-holy His, navigated by His way, truth and life. In times such as these where the cancel culture war is raging, and the enemy of our soul is stealing compassion, killing common sense and destroying civility, don’t waste your time with the forming of prescriptive behavior patterns, these are meager reactions. Thrive in Christ! Respond! Be strong in the power and might of God. Follow after God’s Voice. Expend your soul energy in prayer, in pursuit of God and His way, truth and life and then respond in followship of Jesus as you stay heart to heart with Him. You can step into prescriptivism and react like everyone else, or you can do something new in Christ Jesus and respond out of your personal relational wisdom as you are navigated by God in His new things, in the newness of His way, by the direction of His Holy Spirit for times such as these. Make it personal with God, and then respond out of the newness of His life.
Now my beloved ones, I have saved these most important truths for last: Be supernaturally infused with strength through your life-union with the Lord Jesus. Stand victorious with the force of his explosive power flowing in and through you. 11 Put on God’s complete set of armor provided for us, so that you will be protected as you fight against the evil strategies of the accuser! 12 Your hand-to-hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms. For they are a powerful class of demon-gods and evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage. Ephesians 6:10-12
God Is The Victor Of The Cancel Culture Warfare
Fighting the good fight of faith, we do this first, respond up, seek God’s Kingdom first, and we will be purposefully God navigated in times such as these. As the violent get more deplorable and the cancel God culture more depraved, lashing out at everyone and everything that represents God and His Sovereignty, we must become more dependent on God. We are not fighting flesh and blood, this counter cultured, cancel culture is satan’s last stand against God and His Kingdom. Satan is a formidable enemy, not to be underestimated, BUT God is the Victor. Fully Face God.
I am the Gateway. To enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction. 10 A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect—life in its fullness until you overflow! 11 I am the Good Shepherd who lays down my life as a sacrifice for the sheep. 12–13 But the worker who serves only for wages is not a real shepherd. Distracted? Clear Your Mind With God’s Word
We must be clear minded, spontaneous in vital-vertical relationship with God, positioning ourselves in vital-vertical God relationship, where we receive directional response from our Navigator God, and not reactive human behavior, or a prescribed reaction from people transcribing our worldly viewpoint and plastering their opinions in formation of our reaction. In a counter cultural warfare, where people are engaged in a “cancel God culture” fight, traditional human prescriptivism is paid forward in shallow reactions. We need to fight the good fight of faith, navigated by God’s Voice, being intentionally kingdom cultured by Christ in us, the only hope of Glory. We expend our first reaction by turning to and fully facing God, the only Navigator, Who can successfully and safely navigate these uncharted waters we find ourselves violently thrust into. Distraction is the evil tool of our enemy in times such as these and we are being distracted by so many voices of evil human prescriptivism. In the midst of our mediatic false frenzy, confusion sets in. God’s Word shatters the voice of the multitude of prescriptivism, focusing us on His Voice and confusion is no longer the noise of our chaos. The clatter of a fake reality is stopped as the reality of truth is posititioned by God as a standard of righteousness against the flood of evil voices and takes peaceful precedent in our soul. God’s Truth speaks peace into our chaos and the distraction of the enemy becomes irrelevant.
Timothy, you are God’s man, so run from all these errors. Instead, chase after true holiness, justice, faithfulness, love, hope, and tender humility. 12 So fight with faith for the winner’s prize! Lay your hands upon eternal life, for this is your calling—celebrating in faith before the multitude of witnesses! 13 So now, I instruct you before the God of resurrection life and before Jesus, the Anointed One, who demonstrated a beautiful testimony even before Pontius Pilate, 14 that you follow this commission faithfully with a clear conscience and without blemish until the appearing of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah. 1 Timothy 6:11-14 The Passion Translation
Say NO to prescribed reaction ~ Listen Up To God
We can’t prescribe reaction, encouraging others to be like those who have hurt us. Yes, the very thing that is hatred for authority, taking matters in your own hands, we cannot mirror that, we can’t prescribe what a Christian should do or say in the face of such evil directed hate. We must do what it takes to stay in Followship of God, be led, on this day, be taught, be navigated by God. God is able to take vengeance, in His way, we were not created to set things right, God is the Justice maker. We were created for fellowship and followship of God, He is the Waymaker, we are not. We don’t hurt other people if we don’t react a certain human prescribed way, this is a lie. Prescriptivism that says if Christians don’t act this way, then they are a part of the problem, they are hurting people. This is a lie from the pit of hell. We are wounded and we wound, when we don’t respond to God and act out of wisdom given at His command. We don’t have to react to evil, we respond to God, Christ in us the hope of glory! Are we prescripted by the opinions of others? Shake it off, prescriptivism, and make it personal with God, He is our Navigator, not people’s opinions.
Yes, the people of Zion who live in Jerusalem will weep no more. How compassionate he will be when he hears your cries for help! He will answer you when he hears your voice! 20 Even though the Lord may allow you to go through a season of hardship and difficulty, he himself will be there with you. He will not hide himself from you, for your eyes will constantly see him as your Teacher. When you turn to the right or turn to the left, you will hear his voice behind you to guide you, saying, “This is the right path; follow it.” Then you will see your idols as they are—unclean! Only God Has Permission To Speak Into My Life
This is what we should do if we are a good Christian, we should react like this…No! Say no to prescriptivism, people writing their prescriptive behavior pattern on our life story. No! People don’t have permission to speak into my life, only God writes my life story. Be so. Heart to heart with God, make it personal with God. He is the Navigator, we are the navigated! We don’t react to evil in a human prescribed way, we respond to God, He navigates a purposeful response. Christ in us, the hope of glory! In Followship of God, led by His Holy Spirit, I am intentionally kingdom cultured in my response to the cancel cultural war raging in our generation. Evil is afoot, I fight wisely, with spontaneous God-given wisdom for a time such as this. That is why God’s servant warriors pray it up, keeping a constant conversation with God, led moment to choice by His Voice.
Timothy, in the presence of our great God and our Lord Jesus Christ, the One who is destined to judge both the living and the dead by the revelation of his kingdom—I solemnly instruct you to 2 proclaim the Word of God and stand upon it no matter what! Rise to the occasion and preach when it is convenient and when it is not. Preach in the full expression of the Holy Spirit—with wisdom and patience as you instruct and teach the people. 3 For the time is coming when they will no longer listen and respond to the healing words of truth because they will become selfish and proud. They will seek out teachers with soothing words that line up with their desires, saying just what they want to hear. 4 They will close their ears to the truth and believe nothing but fables and myths. 5 So be alert to all these things and overcome every form of evil. Carry in your heart the passion of your calling as a church planter and evangelist, and fulfill your ministry calling. 2 Timothy 4:1-6
Stay In Vital-Vertical Relationship With God
As a Servant Warrior of God, He leads, I humbly serve Him, in Awe of Him. My first step out each day is down, bowed reverently and humbly before God. I connect heart to heart with God. I fight the good fight of faith to stay wholly-holy aligned with God, paving a way with my spiritual armor on and intact, keeping evil distractions at bay, I listen up, hearing His Voice first, intimately knowing His Voice, I can stay in Followship with His way, truth and life from every moment to every choice of my day! To start the day as God’s Servant Warrior, you make it personal with God, establishing a strong vital-vertical relationship at the get go of each day. Prescriptivism is an evil plot to deny what we are doing wrong and accuse someone else of doing it by a prescriptive labeling of others according to what you think you know. Deny accuse, condemnation is the double-edged sword of our enemy and we fight this counter cultural warfare by the double-edged sword of God, which is His Truth received, believed, spoken and acted upon. We can only kill prescriptivism by yielding this double-edged sword and we can only yield it out of our personal, vital-vertical connection with Jesus Christ. The battle with evil prescriptivism, where what is good is said to be bad and what is bad is said to be good, is God’s battle and through our vital-vertical relationship with Him, we are wholly-holy aligned with His truth as His Servant Warriors.
The cravings of the self-life are obvious: Sexual immorality, lustful thoughts, pornography, chasing after things instead of God, manipulating others, hatred of those who get in your way, senseless arguments, resentment when others are favored, temper tantrums, angry quarrels, only thinking of yourself, being in love with your own opinions, 21 being envious of the blessings of others, murder, uncontrolled addictions, wild parties, and all other similar behavior. Haven’t I already warned you that those who use their “freedom” for these things will not inherit the kingdom realm of God! 22–23 But the fruit produced by the Holy Spirit within you is divine love in all its varied expressions: joy that overflows, peace that subdues, patience that endures, kindness in action, a life full of virtue, faith that prevails, gentleness of heart, and strength of spirit. Never set the law above these qualities, for they are meant to be limitless. Keep in mind that we who belong to Jesus, the Anointed One, have already experienced crucifixion. For everything connected with our self – life was put to death on the cross and crucified with Messiah. 25 We must live in the Holy Spirit and follow after him. 26 So may we never be arrogant, or look down on another, for each of us is an original. We must forsake all jealousy that diminishes the value of others. Galatians 5:19-26 TPT
Being God’s First Responder
As a Christian in times such as these, the only “you should prescriptive” we follow after is the one that prescribes Christ Followship, giving God total access to our lives, being moment to choice, intentionally kingdom cultured, a God first responder. Our First response is up to our First Responder, Jesus Christ. We are vitally connected heart to heart and spirit to spirit with God’s Holy Spirit, Whose navigational wisdom is always Kingdom purposeful and always in play. We stay connected to Jesus, from moment to choice, hearing His Voice, responding to His way and truth. In Followship of God’s Holy Spirit, we are constantly-consistently simply-significantly spontaneously led by God, stepping into the flow of God purpose that is already in play. We don’t put God purpose in play, by prescriptive human behavior, it is already in play by God’s Sovereignty. We look up, we listen up, we live up, out of a vital-vertical relationship with God. Prescriptivism tells us what we should believe, how we should act, what our reaction should be. It is a spoon-fed deceit from the enemy of our soul. As God’s Servant Prayer Warrior, we are His first responder in this battle between deception and truth. Therefore, we listen up, giving no counter cultural deceit permission to speak into our lives. Only God. We respond first to His Voice. We are His first responders, responding to His Truth and Life.
The disciples of John the Baptizer approached Jesus with this question: “Why is it that we and the Pharisees fast regularly, but not your disciples?” 15 Jesus replied, “How can the sons of the bridal chamber grieve when the Bridegroom is next to them? But the days of fasting will come when the Bridegroom is taken away from them. 16 And who would mend worn-out clothing with new fabric? When the new cloth shrinks it will rip, making the hole worse than before. 17 And who would pour fresh, new wine into an old wineskin? Eventually the wine will ferment and make the wineskin burst, losing everything—the wine is spilled and the wineskin ruined. Instead, new wine is always poured into a new wineskin so that both are preserved.” Commentary: The teaching of Jesus is the new wine and the new cloth. What Jesus taught cannot patch up the old religious system, nor can it be contained in a wineskin of worn-out traditions. It is new, exhilarating, and powerful. Prescriptivism Is All About What You Think You Know
Our response is never about what we think we know; it is about what God does know. God is spirit and truth, infinite in wisdom, love and compassion. We are finite beings who in our human state, our human condition, serve no power higher than self. So, are you willing to settle with a shallow human prescriptivism, telling you how to react in times such as these and spoon feeding you prescriptive false narrative for you to follow after? Will you bow to a false accuser and accept condemnation from a human being? Or, do you want to dig in deeper with God, letting go of all human prescriptives and be led spontaneously by God’s directives, through the navigation of His Holy Spirit? Are you assumptively accusing others with the prescriptivism of cultural labeling? Change it up. We were all created in God’s image, we all matter to God and the truth is, there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. Is someone condemning you because of your past or the past of your forefathers? This is prescriptivism. Walk away from this, turn to God, fully face God. God is our reality of truth. Jesus died for our sins, He bought them with His blood, therefore, we have no rights to them and we have no right to accuse anyone else of their past. Anyone who labels or condemns you for past sins is illegitimately using your past against you. Your past sins, these accusers, they have no rights to use your past sins, they belong to Jesus. Shake off this prescriptivism. Put on God’s truth.
“Loving me empowers you to obey my word. And my Father will love you so deeply that we will come to you and make you our dwelling place. 24 But those who don’t love me will not obey my words. The Father did not send me to speak my own revelation, but the words of my Father. 25 I am telling you this while I am still with you. 26 But when the Father sends the Spirit of Holiness, the One like me who sets you free, he will teach you all things in my name. And he will inspire you to remember every word that I’ve told you. John 14:23-26
I Choose Life In Christ Jesus
I say no to prescriptivism. I chose heart to heart relationship with God. I choose to be intentionally kingdom cultured by God’s Voice. I choose to be in vital-vertical relationship with God, navigated spontaneously by God’s Holy Spirit, from my moments to my choices. I choose to keep my identity wholly-holy aligned with Jesus Christ, sealed by His Holy Spirit, I allow no one to label me through prescriptivism. I choose to let go of all human prescriptive and to fight the good fight of faith, God armored up, with God’s Living Word, in followship of His Voice, intentionally kingdom cultured by His Holy Spirit. I choose to be a servant warrior of God, who wisely directed by God Almighty, my Commander In Chief, steps right into the God purpose already in play by God. I choose to respond to the evil cancel God culture with a Kingdom cultured response, in Followship of God and backed by the full power of God’s Kingdom. I choose life in Christ Jesus, Christ in me the hope of glory.
Choose Life ~ “Listen closely, I have set before you today life and prosperity (good), and death and adversity (evil); 16 in that I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk [that is, to live each and every day] in His ways and to keep His commandments and His statutes and His judgments (precepts), so that you will live and multiply, and that the Lord your God will bless you in the land which you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you will not hear and obey, but are drawn away and worship other gods and serve them, 18 I declare to you today that you will certainly perish.
