“Intimacy With God Comes
In Whispers, Not Shouts.”
Woodrow Kroll
The way you counsel and correct me maes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. Psalm 16:7 The Passion Translation
I Can’t Hear You Lord ~ Are You Speaking? I Must Lean In And Fully Face You
There is a lot of noise and it is deafening. The enemy of our soul is really loud in deception and chaotic in anxiety and fear in these times. The enemy is making his last stand and it is violently loud, bullying my soul, bruising my spirit. It is hard to even hear myself think on things that are good, pure, right, true and soul encouraging. I always say, the best day is started when I listen up to God, yielding my spiritual ears to the “Whispers” of His Holy Spirit, knowing without a doubt, Almighty Awe-GOD will finish my started day in a way of the reality of truth, a powerful way. I look to God, I listen up and I can’t even begin to imagine or hope for how He will purposefully shape me today, as I start my day in the stark reality of the darkness all around me, of my human condition and of an enemy that wants to steal me from God, kill my spirit, and destroy my future. I am learning to hope in the dark, to lean out of the culture of gloom and doom into God’s Sovereign Sway of peace, hope and joy as my strength in times such as these.
When God spoke He stirred up a storm, lifting high the waves with hurricane winds. 26–27 Ships were tossed by swelling sea, rising to the sky, then dropping down to the depths, reeling like drunkards, spinning like tops, everyone at their wits’ end until even sailors despaired of life, cringing in terror. 28 Then we cried out, “Lord, help us! Rescue us!” And He did! 29 God stilled the storm, calmed the waves, and He hushed the hurricane winds to only a whisper. 30 We were so relieved, so glad as he guided us safely to harbor in a quiet haven. Psalm 107:25-30
Intentionally Kingdom Cultured By The Shepherd Of My Soul ~ Jesus
Connected heart to heart with God, I hear the whisper of His heart, it stills the chaos in my soul, it sharpens my spirit with His discernment, which cuts through deceit with God’s reality of truth, directing my will with a kingdom perspective. Therefore, I am intentionally kingdom cultured by God’s way, truth and life. This culture I live in, is a God cancelling culture of violent hate, but God’s Kingdom Culture in me, is gentle as a dove, wise as a serpent. God in His Might is unmatched and His Grace is the most powerful force in this universe, so I lean out of my worldly viewpoint into His Kingdom perspective. Our culture says to do what you want, it is all relative, obey no one, you are free to be who you want to be. Don’t listen to the godly wisdom of your parents, you don’t need to seek wisdom from older mentors who guide you with the knowledge they have gained by living out of the truth of God. Shun this evil enticement, it leads to death. God created us to need Him and each other. Be intentionally kingdom cultured by God and know Your place in Him. Positioned in His Grace, your identity is wholly-holy in Him. This is my testimony: I belong to Him, I stay positioned under His Rulership of His Love and in followship of Him, His way, truth and life, I go.
My son, be guided by your father’s [God-given] commandment (instruction) And do not [a]reject the teaching of your mother; 21 Bind them continually upon your heart (in your thoughts), And tie them around your neck. 22 When you walk about, they (the godly teachings of your parents) will guide you; (Their instruction will whisper to you at every sunrise and direct you through a brand-new day TPT ) When you sleep, they will keep watch over you; And when you awake, they will talk to you. 23 For the commandment is a lamp, and the teaching [of the law] is light, And reproofs (rebukes) for discipline are the way of life. Proverbs 6:20-24 The Amplified Bible
Listen Up To The Whispers Of God’s Holy Spirit
If it were my way, I would be a loud voice, I would shout above the voice of the one who was devaluing me. But God, He isn’t raising His Voice louder, He isn’t shouting above the clamor and chaos of the enemy, He is the still small voice, the whisper of hope, wisdom and peace amidst the chaos of our souls in times such as these. God calms us, the storm in our soul, and then He speaks to us, face to face. In the gentle whisper of His Powerful Voice, we feel the tender brush of His breath upon our soul, as He whispers an influential commanding of truth, which stands the test of time and safely guides us through the violent deception of our enemy. Listen up to the whispers of God’s Holy Spirit and your common sense will be restored, your courage will be reignited, your compassion will be revived and your civility will stand the trials of these times. God’s voice is a powerful whisper, which will change things up in your life in that way you could never begin to anticipate. Lean out of your worldly viewpoint and lean into God’s Kingdom perspective, listening up closely to the whispers of His Holy Spirit, our perfect and purposeful Navigator in times such as these. Pray it up and listen up to God.
“The government of heaven rests upon the shoulders of the two or three that gather in His name. We are here with a transformational assignment. We are called by His name to pray. Worship and prayer is the premier assignment we have been given. The place of prayer, restores our strength. It is from our knees, our place of prayer and intercession that we have the greatest effect on the world around us. God is not looking for people who know how to stay busy, but is looking for people who know how to represent His heart. We represent in action what we find in prayer. The connection with the heart of God, gives us the authority to represent Him with absolute confidence in action. We are a righteous influence of God, Who taught us that humility is the way forward. Without God, we can’t, without us He won’t. Pray, come into the place of agreement with the heart and mind of God.” Bill Johnson
God, listen to my prayer! Don’t hide your heart from me when I cry out to you! 2–3 Come close to me and give me your answer. Here I am, moaning and restless. I’m preoccupied with the threats of my enemies and crushed by the pressure of their opposition. They surround me with trouble and terror. In their fury they rise up against me in an angry uproar. 4 My heart is trembling inside my chest as the terror of death seizes me. 5 Fear and dread overwhelm me. I shudder before the horror I face. 6 I say to myself, “If only I could fly away from all of this! If only I could run away to the place of rest and peace. Psalm 55:1-6 The Passion Translation
We Live In Meribah, Temporarily
The world is swaying in the sweltering heat of insecurity, where all common sense, compassion and civility has been tromped on by those who serve no power higher than self. Lawlessness prevails over our governing laws and justice takes a back seat to the root of all evil, the pursuit of money. Get money at all costs, this is the mantra of this generation and press for the position and power that corrupts absolutely as it comes alongside of the inhumane quest, an unquenched lust for power, riches, and position. People riot, proclaiming what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong, deceived that doing something wrong will make a right. In our streets, murder is a common place occurrence, hatred spills over all people, as the vulnerable one is prey for the violent mobs, making it dangerous to live in the freedom we know. The noise of the enemy is loud with false accusations and condemnation, the bitter hopelessness of people even louder. God is still whispering, but we don’t listen in, we are seeing through the eyes of a worldly viewpoint, a place of strife, false accusation, condemnation and contention. This is our 20th century Meribah, we are temporarily living in it, but thankfully not of it. Christ in us, our hope of glory, this is our Deliverer, He is our future.
I hear this most gentle whisper from One I never guessed would speak to me: 6-7 “I took the world off your shoulders, freed you from a life of hard labor. You called to me in your pain; I got you out of a bad place. I answered you from where the thunder hides, I proved you at Meribah (the place of strife and contention).Psalm 81:6-7 MSG
Lean Out Of Meribah, Lean Into God’s Kingdom
How can I hear You, Father God. the commotion of an unjust, compassionless, lawlessness is overwhelming my soul with the sounds of accusations, condemnation, false guilt, fear, doubt and hopelessness. Thankfully God answered me, He whispers ever so quietly and confidently: “Lean in My Child, lean into my Sovereign Sway. Yield your heart to Me, silently submit to Me, give Me total access to your soul, mind, will. I, Your Father God am the Proof to silence your doubt. I, Jesus, the Proven, I am the Spirit of Truth that stood the test of false accusation and defied unjust death. I, The Holy Spirit of God, I am Your Prover, the Only One Who can prove, making just the injustices, making right the wrongs, and proving the way, truth and life of Jesus in your all and everything. I ask you to lean into my Sovereign Sway, let go of what you think you know and fully face Me, lean into to Me and hear the whispers of My Heart. I will navigate you, listen up to Me.
“Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain; it was such a terrible blast that the rocks were torn loose, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind, there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. 12 And after the earthquake, there was a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire, there was the sound of a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he wrapped his face in his scarf and went out and stood at the entrance of the cave. 1 Kings 19:11-13 Living Bible
“I believe that when God speaks, it always begins as a whisper. God is whispering to His sons and daughters, and each of us longs to hear His words. We were created to hear our Creator. The Magnificent One speaks to us in tender undertones, underscoring the harsh reality of our human life. Thus our invitation to be quiet: “Be still, and know that I am God!” (Psalm 46:10 NLT) I am certain that God the Most High and Creator of all things knew His children would be arrested and calmed by His very whisper. I find the idea of a God who whispers more surprising than a God who shouts. Just as deep calls to deep, a God-whisper is the echo of the Creator resounding within His children, the created.” Written By Lisa Bevere
Lean Into God~Fully Face God
Fully Face God. Stop~Drop~Bow. We must connect our hearts to God in vital-vertical relationship. Let’s look into the eyes of God, behold the countenance of His face. It is time to shake off the presuppositions, assumptions, speculations, worldly expectations, what we think we know and fully face God, the One Who does know and knows in full the reality of truth. Our Father God is the One Who will take our face in His Hands, look deeply into our chaotic soul and say: Peace be still. We have to stop leaning into the noise, the clamor of our enemy, we must turn from this worldly viewpoint and lean into the Sovereign Sway of God, fully face God and listen up to the whispers of His Heart.
Your pleasant path leads me to pleasant places. I’m overwhelmed by the privileges that come with following you, for you have given me the best! 7 The way you counsel and correct me makes me praise you more, for your whispers in the night give me wisdom, showing me what to do next. 8 Because you are close to me and always available, my confidence will never be shaken, for I experience your wrap-around presence every moment. Psalm 16: 6-8 The Passion Translations
God Knows ~ Listen Up To The Reality Of His Truth
We think we know what we think we know. We know nothing of what we need to know to navigate this new reality we find ourselves thrust into. We are trusting the voices of our culture more than we are the voice of our God. Our Father God is the Way-Maker, we are not. Jesus is the deliverer, we are not. God is the Savior; we are the saved who serve the Savior. It is time for us to Wholly-Holy align our heart with God’s heart. In the chaos and the clamor our enemy is stirring up, God, He is whispering, this is the way, walk in it. (Isaiah 30:21-22 New Life Version 21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left. 22 You will take your sinful objects of worship, covered with silver and gold and will throw them away as an unclean cloth, and say to them, “Be gone!”) Are we leaning into Awe-GOD’s Sovereign sway, are we positioned with a yielded heart, a submissive soul, a surrendered spirit? Are we wholly-holy aligned with God, fully facing Him, leaning into Him and hearing the miraculous musing of His Heart, the whispers of His soul? Listening up to God’s Word, we are soul nourished in that way only God can, as we find in this passage of scripture, Job 4, a soul feeding for a time such as this: https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Job%204&version=TLB;AMP
“In the Abiding Presence of God, there is courage to declare truth. The spirit of the Lord God is upon me to open the eyes of the blind. In the abiding presence of God comes the God confidence we all were designed for, that can look at a situation and say: No, this will not be happening on my shift. It is not a careless prayer, it comes from the abiding Presence of God, knowing the heart and mind of God. We have the global summoning from a perfect Father God, to come and pray and make a difference on the earth. We pray to God to give us the grace for this season of our lives, to not fight against flesh and blood, to not mistake people for the enemy. We pray to God to give us the redemptive touch, the loving heart of our Father God, and we pray to represent Him well. We don’t fight with flesh and blood; we abide in Christ Jesus.” Bill Johnson
It is very common for people to swear an oath by something greater than themselves, for the oath will confirm their statements and end all dispute. 17 So in the same way, God wanted to end all doubt and confirm it even more forcefully to those who would inherit his promises. His purpose was unchangeable, so God added his vow to the promise. 18 So it is impossible for God to lie for we know that his promise and his vow will never change! And now we have run into his heart to hide ourselves in his faithfulness. This is where we find his strength and comfort, for he empowers us to seize what has already been established ahead of time—an unshakeable hope! 19 We have this certain hope like a strong, unbreakable anchor holding our souls to God himself. Our anchor of hope is fastened to the mercy seat which sits in the heavenly realm beyond the sacred threshold, 20 and where Jesus, our forerunner, has gone in before us. He is now and forever our royal Priest like Melchizedek Hebrews 6:16-20 The Passion Translation
