A God Adventure In Prayer
Hello sweet Bridegroom Café seekers of soul nourishment. I hope you enjoy this prayer journey on the Prayer Mentor Table. Many of you know that I have answered the call of God to be a Servant Warrior Prayer Mentor. God is my life-line, the joy of my heart, and I have answered His call of prayer. This journal the next ten days is a special call to duty for the Kingdom of God. It is my pleasure to pray for a group of friends going to Ghana Africa on a mission trip. It is a sweet privilege to go alongside of these missionaries in prayer. Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement video as we begin this 10 day prayer trek with our Awe-God.
Anxiety On High!
As I think of our missionaries preparing to leave our country, I can imagine their anxieties were high as they did their final preparations state side. Leaving home and family, jobs, ministries and their country for 10 days to answer the call of God is a very courageous and sacrificial thing to do. I know walking their shoes, I could only imagine that would be anxious, but I also know the God of peace, Whose Presence goes before them, has prepared the way. Yes, there is the anxiety of the human condition as you step into the unknown and feel the stretch of your comfort zone, but this anxiety is stilled by God’s Word of peace. PEACE, Be Still.
Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, 7 then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:6-7 The Passion Translation
Peace Be Still!
Today I sit in front of a beautiful, peaceful body of water, yet when I look further in the distance I see a busy bridge in the background, busy, harried hurried people with lots to do. So, Jesus, I ask you to touch these missionaries, these servants of Yours, and quiet all the hurried, harried, mind noise caused by leaving, being set apart from their responsibilities of all kinds. Speak into their spirit: “Peace, Be Still”!
Pray It Up! God Preparation!
Father God, on the first leg of their journey, may they feel Your peaceful spirit of anointing, touching their mind and clearing it of all concern behind them, so that they may see clearly in front of them on this day and the days ahead. I pray that they will make every divine appointment You have set up for them. Jesus, in this moment, this God Adventure You have called them too, cleanse their minds from all the responsibility state side, and prepare them for what You, Jesus know is ahead. You have made a way for tor them, help them to step out on the path you cleared in wholly-holy followship of You.
Be still upon your bed and search your heart before him. It is always wise at the end of every day to cleanse our hearts in God’s grace and mercy. Pause in his presence Bring to Yahweh the sacrifice of righteousness and put your trust in him. Lord, prove them wrong when they say, “God can’t help you!” Let the light of your radiant face break through and shine upon us! The intense pleasure you give me surpasses the gladness of harvest time, even more than when the harvesters gaze upon their ripened grain and when their new wine overflows. Now, because of you, Lord, I will lie down in peace and sleep comes at once, for no matter what happens, I will live unafraid! Psalm 14:4-8 The Passion Translation
Praying For Our Missionaries
Father God, on the first leg of their journey, may these precious missionaries, sent out by You, feel Your peaceful spirit of anointing, touching their mind and clearing it of all concern behind them. On this day we pray they may see clearly in front of them and the days ahead, may they stay in followship of their Navigator, Jesus Christ. I pray they will make every divine appointment You have set up for them, Father God. Holy Spirit of God, in this moment, this God Adventure You have called them too, cleanse their minds from all the responsibility state side, and prepare them for what You, Jesus know is ahead in the country you are bringing them to. You have made a way forward these missionaries in a time such as this. I pray You, Jesus, help them to step out on the path You cleared, let their feet be in wholly-holy followship of You, Jesus, their Navigator God. Make a miraculous way for them, Way-Maker God. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, but everything You have planned let it be so. Show Yourself strong on their behalf, open every shut door, make a way of harmony in their transitional travel time from country to country, begin this God Adventure showing the power of Your Mighty Right Hand. On this day, Jesus, name above all names, keep our missionaries in the position of Your Providential Care. Amen.
