Family Prayer-3

He Who Plants Kindness Gathers Love.

Quote By — St. Basil

Family Prayer For Kindness

Kindness. Precious grandkids and all my kids who are very grown up and hate it when I refer to them as kids. But, it is a term of endearment, not a condescending thing, but a kind, love pat of the soul. Kindness takes on so many different shapes, forms and actions. One form of of kindness that adds a lot of value to people in our family, is to be present with those who you are with. Distraction really devalues kindness and makes us a wee bit selfish as we are not focused on the ones we are with. Love the ones you are with, be present with the ones you are with, this is a special act of kindness and it adds so much value to others, making them feel important, like they are a priority to you.

Kindness From And To God

It is like that with God too. Our time with God should be a time when we can be present with Him, heart to heart, giving Him all of our attention. Talking, sharing, listening and reverencing Him.  Loving God in this way, with our whole heart, not just a duty we preform, but being all in with Him is a beautiful act of kindness and it brings great pleasure to God.

You are always and dearly loved by God! So robe yourself with virtues of God , since you have been divinely chosen to be holy. Be merciful as you endeavor to understand others, and be compassionate, showing kindness toward all. Be gentle and humble, unoffendable in your patience with others. Tolerate the weaknesses of those in the family of faith, forgiving one another in the same way you have been graciously forgiven by Jesus Christ. If you find fault with someone, release this same gift of forgiveness to them. For love is supreme and must flow through each of these virtues. Love becomes the mark of true maturity. Let your heart be always guided by the peace of the Anointed One, who called you to peace as part of his one body. And always be thankful. Colossians 3:12-15

Pray Up Kindness For Your Family

🙏 Jesus robe us in the kindness of God, let it be the clothing we wear as a family, one to another. Let mercy be the action of the kindness of our hearts, one toward another as we learn to understand others in our family better. May we show compassionate kindness toward all in our family, being gentle, humble, unoffendable in our patience with others in our family. Jesus cause us to walk with kindness that tolerates the weakness of those in our family, forgiving one another in the same way we have been so graciously forgiven by You. We will find fault with each other, as each of us has a human condition, help us to be kind, guided by peace, so our love for each other becomes the mark of true maturity and the testimony of the Grace of God. Help us to be thankful for one another as we show kindness and add value to each other’s lives. Let it be so Jesus, generate the spirit of kindness in our hearts and out of the issues of our family life, let kindness of motive, heart and deed spring forth. And Father, help us when we are with each other to add value to each other’s lives through our kindness, making it a priority to be present with and love the ones’s we are with, not being distracted or selfishly thinking of ourselves, but being willing to invest in the lives of each other. Let it be so Jesus. Amen.🙏
