Flip-Flopped Christianity

I Am Grateful For God’s Faithfulness

I am so grateful for God’s Presence our lives.  He is Here, the greatest Advocate this human race will ever know. Spirit and Truth! He is with us,  His Love, His Favor, His Healing, His Powerful Word, His Strength, His Every Day Wisdom, His Discernment, His Peace, His Authority Over the Enemy. No matter how deplorable our human race has gotten over all the years of our human condition drifting away from Him, He is still Here. Even though we have chosen to serve no power higher than self, He is still with us. Even though we have chosen to go our own way. He is still for us. This is Real Love.

Yet even now,” the Lord says, “return to me with all your heart – with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Tear your hearts, not just your garments!” Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to anger and boundless in loyal love – often relenting from calamitous punishment. Joel 2:12-13

Broken! Only God Can Fix It!

Real Love, this is what this broken world needs. Something that is REAL, a love that is strong, reliable, trustworthy, faithful, true and has friendship that has given all, putting us above all, an Advocacy with us and completely for us. This is Real Love. This is Jesus, our Savior, Our Fixer, Our Proven, with the Name above all names. We can’t fix broken people who are breaking people, Jesus can.  Flipped Flopped Christianity trying to be the fixer, the savior of broken people, is dangerous to our soul health. This is why it is Godly wisdom for us to let go and let GOD do what we can’t do Let Be and let Jesus Save, Fix, Redeem, Restore in that way only He can. The way to change it up is prayer for broken people, taking our hands off, stop trying to be the Fixer, and putting the broken in the hands of Jesus, this is Real Love. Digging our life roots deeply in the Real Love of God keeps us from having a flipped-flopped Christianity and creates a God Glory Glow in us that can’t be looked away from, that speaks of His Truth and Love to those who are broken. Are you feeling soul trashed by the broken people around you? Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video:

Mourn With Hope

Our world is broken and we want to try to repair it by our own means, we want to help the broken people who are breaking people. It is a cycle of brokenness, an unbreakable circle of pain that crushes us under its weight. This “fix it” mentality that us human beings come by naturally, it will squeeze all the life out of our soul, in times such as these. We are not, nor can we be the fixer. God Is. Don’t underestimate God’s ability to save, heal and restore. We can’t dumb God down because the world has gone cra-cra-crazy all around us, and all we see are broken people breaking people. Our focus must shift to God first. We must take the time in His Word, His Powerful Word, which was gifted to us purposefully to be our way, truth and life.  We must not carry the weight of the broken world; it will crush our soul. Jesus, our Redeemer, He already did that. He took on His shoulders the weight of the sins of the world, and He died and He rose from the dead to free us from this weight of sin and its consequences. Don’t take it back. Turn to Jesus. He is the FIXER, we are not. He is the SAVIOR, we are not. He is capable, available and powerful. Let God Work. Take the burden of the broken, you have put on Your shoulders, and hand it back to Jesus, the ONE WHO has already shouldered it. He is Your soul rest in this cra-cra-crazy world. Cry out to God, weep and mourn, but not like one who does not have hope. Hope in God. Transfer the weight off your shoulders to God. He can handle it, you cannot. This is the prayer I pray for us today, that we know WHO shouldered our human mess.

Isaiah 53:3-6 He was despised and rejected— a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care. Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all. Read 1 Peter 2:23-25

God Is The Fixer

I have been there, I have done that, shouldered things I never should have shouldered. I had a flipped-flopped Christianity.  I took the weight of the world of broken people on my shoulders and it crushed my soul, almost destroyed me, and would have if God had not stepped in and said “NO” to the enemy of my soul. Disbelief is crafty and subtle weapon of our enemy. Doubt that God can be our Savior, it comes in the form of human fixing. We think we can fix something we are not even meant to try to fix. We believe in Jesus Christ, that He is the Son of God, that He died for our sins. We believe in Him and we are in a vital-vertical relationship with Him but, have we taken that next step? Do we believe Him? Do we believe what Jesus Christ has said to us? Do we believe Jesus? If we do believe Him, then we believe He is the Fixer, Savior, Healer, Redeemer and Lord.

Come and see what the Lord has done. He has done amazing things on the earth. He stops wars everywhere on the earth. He breaks all bows and spears and burns up the chariots with fire. God says, “Be still and know that I am God. I will be praised in all the nations. I will be praised throughout the earth.” The Lord of heaven’s armies is with us. The God of Jacob is our protection. Selah Ps 46:8-11

Don’t Underestimate God

The Truth Is… When we believe Jesus, we do not underestimate His power to intervene in our human mess, to heal broken people who break other people, to restore what the enemy has stolen, to be the ONE who can reverse the irreversible. Yes, we believe in Jesus Christ, but do we act like we believe Him? Are we trying to be the savior, fixer, redeemer, restorer, or are we bowed at the Feet of Jesus Who is all of these things? Are we crying out in prayer for our broken world, for the broken people who are breaking people? Are we praying at the feet of Jesus asking God to intervene, to save, heal, restore and fix? Are we praying His Word, declaring and decreeing His Word over our broken world and its broken people? Do we carry the weight of the world on our shoulders? Do we have a flipped-flopped Christianity? Then we do not believe Jesus. It is time to let go and let GOD work, to believe in Him and to wholly-holy believe Him. We don’t serve those who need to be saved, we serve the Savior and He saves, heals, delivers and restores.

Declare And Decree

Flipped flopped Christianity is when you are trying to be the fixer, the savior and you take on the role of God. The Father God is “The Proof”. Jesus is “The Proven”. The Holy Spirit is “The Prover”. When we step into any of these roles, we have a flip-flopped Christianity and we will crash and burn our soul out.  We don’t serve those who need to be saved, we serve the Savior and He saves, heals, delivers and restores. I am not the Fixer, Jesus is. I am not the Savior, Jesus Is. Say It! Believe It! Declare And Decree It! Don’t Underestimate The Power Of God. Believe God Can. Be So. The ones who are found at the feet of Jesus, praying and asking for His intervention because we know we can’t fix this world and its broken people.  Listen Up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video, it contains some valuable God wisdom about not being the fixer, the savior and not underestimating God, believing God can. Believing God:

The enemy uses his strategies against us as we pursue abundant life in Christ.  He targets our passion. “Strategy against your heart. He uses every opportunity to keep old wounds fresh in mind, knowing that anger and hurt and bitterness and unforgiveness will continue to roll the damage forward. He targets your passion: He seeks to dim your whole desire for prayer, dull your interest in spiritual things, and down play the potency of your most strategic weapons of prayer, truth, faith, righteousness, as He creates disruption and disunity within your circle of friends and within the shared community of the body of Christ. He amplifies fear, worry, and anxiety until they’re the loudest voices heard, causing you to deem the adventure of following God too risky to attempt.” Priscilla Shirer Armor Of God

Received Mercy ~ Give Mercy

Life is never fair or just. Innocent people get hurt because hurting people hurt people. The pain of adults hurting children, it grips our soul with a vice that squeezes the faith out of our spirit. We begin to take up the offense of the wounded and we harshly, with bitterness in our soul, hope that those who wound, get what they deserve. We hate them and we despise that they have hurt the innocent. We forget that we were once them, a recipient of something we did not deserve, God’s mercy. This bitterness in our soul ties us to their deplorable sin and it sickens our soul. This is the enemies plan as he targets our compassion and uses it to kill two birds with one sin stone. The sinner goes down and with the sinner goes down the one whose compassion has turned into a bitter soul of unforgiveness towards the sinner. The enemy smiles because his strategy has worked. This song has the wisdom needed for times such as these where broken people are breaking people, hurting people are hurting people, listen up:

“God takes the enemies efforts to destroy His people and turns them to bless His people instead. Genesis 50:20 You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good. God doesn’t land on zero! God doesn’t shift into neutral! Nothing about this is fair. This is absolutely underserved generosity and unmerited favor. Nothing God’s people have done has earned them anything but eternal separation from Him. He doesn’t just forgive us, He and gives us a new heart to love Him with, His Spirit to empower our obedience and gives us an eternal Kingdom to inherit. There is no one like Him. He is where the joy is.” Tara Leigh Cobble Bible Recap

Not Meant To Understand

We can’t wrap our minds around everything that is happening in our world in times such as these, where people have chosen to go their own way and their corrupted human condition is doing despicable and deplorable things. We wonder… where is God? Why is He allowing the innocent to be hurt? Flipped-Flopped Christianity tries to wrap our mind around things we are not meant to understand. We have to keep reminding ourselves that God’s ways are higher than ours. We can’t wrap our finite mind around His Infinite ways! We wrestle with it and God allows that, He understands, He wants us to work out our Salvation with reverence and respect. Sharing with Him our feelings, grieving and hurting together with our God. Then after we have done that, He wants us to yield \o/!

The Lord says, “Your thoughts are not like my thoughts. Your ways are not like my ways. Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways. And my thoughts are higher than your thoughts. The words I say do the same thing. They will not return to me empty. They make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do. “So you will go out with joy. You will be led out in peace. The mountains and hills will burst into song before you. All the trees in the fields will clap their hands. Large cypress trees will grow where thornbushes were. Myrtle trees will grow where weeds were. These things will be a reminder of the Lord’s promise. And this reminder will never be destroyed. Isaiah 55:8-9,11-13

Sovereign Will – Infinite Love

I have seen that His Sovereign Will and His Infinite Love always go hand in hand, one is never without the other. Soooooo when we find it so very hard to swallow the Sovereign Will of God, it goes down so much easier if we swallow it with His Infinite Love… hand in hand goes the Sovereign Will of God with His Infinite Love… Yield in the Presence of His all-consuming love! Remember and surrender to Jesus, the One Who knows, the One Who Understands. Never forget, that Jesus came here, to us. His love for us has not changed, it is sacrificial, it is for us, and it will end well. Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video and be reminded..
