God’s Heart Desire

The Father’s Heart

The heart of our Father God, has never been anything but personal. We can see His desire is for heart to heart relationship with us, in His way, by His truth, and life. He wants us to be wholly-holy-his. This has always been His desire, it has never changed, no matter what we have done, He keeps reaching for us, to be in personal relationship with us. How can we dishonor a request such as this? How can we in our human condition, disrespect a God such as this? How can we be irreverent to our God when we hear His heart like this in Ezekiel 43:7-9?

The Lord said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of my throne and the place where I will rest my feet. I will live here forever among the people of Israel. They and their kings will not defile my holy name any longer by their adulterous worship of other gods or by honoring the relics of their kings who have died. They put their idol altars right next to mine with only a wall between them and me. They defiled my holy name by such detestable sin, so I consumed them in my anger. Now let them stop worshiping other gods and honoring the relics of their kings, and I will live among them forever. Ezekiel 43:7-9

Created To Be Personal

This has been God’s heart all along. Just wanting us to worship Him, heart to heart in personal relationship with Him. What is it about our human condition that keeps us from being everything He created us to be? Think About It. Change It Up. We should shake ourselves free from the bondage of serving no power higher than self. How do we get there? Am I Wholly-Holy-His? Because when we are serving God, in vital-vertical relationship with Him we are stronger, better people. Don’t get stuck in a rut of self, serving no power higher than self. This is an exhausting way to live. Our strength is empowered by God and the joy of this is exhilarating. If we are serving no power higher than self, maybe we need a good trial to shake us free from this rut. “Trials were meant to release us from the bondage of self.” Paul Tripp Listen up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video:

“God takes the enemies efforts to destroy His people and turns them to bless His people instead. Genesis 50:20 You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good. God doesn’t land on zero! God doesn’t shift into neutral! Nothing about this is fair. This is absolutely underserved generosity and unmerited favor. Nothing God’s people have done has earned them anything but eternal separation from Him. He doesn’t just forgive us, He and gives us a new heart to love Him with, His Spirit to empower our obedience and gives us an eternal Kingdom to inherit. There is no one like Him. He is where the joy is.” Tara Leigh Cobble

“My child, pay attention to my words. Listen closely to what I say. Don’t ever forget my words. Keep them deep within your heart. These words are the secret to life for those who find them. They bring health to the whole body. Be very careful about what you think. Your thoughts run your life. Don’t use your mouth to tell lies. Don’t ever say things that are not true. Keep your eyes focused on what is right. Keep looking straight ahead to what is good. Be careful what you do. Always do what is right. Do not do anything unless it is right. Stay away from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27
