He Knows

Let your life be shaped by integrity with truth written upon your heart. That’s how you will find favor and understanding with both God and men—you will gain the reputation of living life well. Proverbs 3

The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt: who can know it? Jeremiah 17:9

Beware Of Self Deception

We think we know everything we need to know. We face temptations and live among people who say they are Christians but live opposite from the life that Jesus taught and modeled. We accompany people who do not serve God with their life or their actions, and we think we can handle it, our faith is strong, we won’t be influenced by them. Never underestimate the power of the enemy over the human heart. Adam and Eve walked with God, heart to heart and they had everything they needed and the enemy still enticed them away from God telling them to self-validate themselves with the wisdom of good and evil. It is prideful to say, I don’t have to worry about falling if I hang around people who don’t follow after God and His ways. A Prideful Thought: I can dip my toe into the lake that sinners are swimming in, I won’t fall in. Self-Righteousness! This is definitely a mark of casual Christianity. Listen Up to this 1 Minute Encouragement Video and receive the wisdom of God about “Casual Christianity”.

All Knowing God

Pride goes before a fall. The wisdom of God keeps us from this kind of foolish thinking and keeps us guarded against the temptations of the enemy. Our God is all knowing, we should never step out on our own, thinking we can handle it. We need God’s wisdom. Ask God first and He will tell you that even a toe in the water is a step to drifting away from God. Think up! God is all knowing and He is the best navigator we could ever have.  When we try to do things on our own, through our own way, independent of God’s wisdom, but out of the counsel of the ungodly, we will end up staining the name of Jesus. Charles Spurgeon says it well:

“All Those Who Say That They Are Christ’s, And Then Go And Live Ungodly Lives, Stain The Name Of Christ.” — Charles Spurgeon

God With Us

There is nothing more pure, authentic, enduring than the love of God for us. God with us, His presence all around us, His advocacy for us.  How beautiful it is to watch the tides come in and out on the beach knowing that this is our God, He does this. Even the seas obey Him as He set their boundaries. He is a good Father, our God. He knows everything about us, every hair on our head. He knows everything. God knows. God has never been stingy with His love, wisdom, discernment or caring. Do you need wisdom today? Where does that wisdom seeking start? Does it start with us? No. We are not a good source of wisdom. In our human condition, our hearts are easily deceived and there is not much clarity in times such as these. So, we look up, to the God of all knowledge. Listen Up:

In Step With God’s Wisdom

There is no doubt about it. We will need godly wisdom, the fresh revelation of God to navigate these uncharted waters. God is the best source of wisdom and His knowledge of the all of our everything is the best source of knowing we could ever want. So, today, if we need wisdom, the best ONE to ask is God. Ask God. He is a good Father and will not withhold anything good from us. He loves us more than we could begin to hope for or imagine. He is on our side. He is for us. When we need wisdom, we need to seek God’s heart first. Everyday God is working for our good, loving us, exhorting us, discipling us when we need it and directing our steps with His wisdom. Ask God First.

When Gideon died, the Israelites turned and prostituted themselves by worshiping the Baals and made Baal-berith their god. The Israelites did not remember the Lord their God who had rescued them from the hand of the enemies around them. They did not show kindness to the house of Jerubbaal (that is, Gideon) for all the good he had done for Israel. Judges 8:33-35

Godly Counsel

People who do know no power higher than self, do not remember the good God did through other people. Instead they reject them, saying they were no longer good enough for them and they reject them, turn on them and serve the gods of this world. Self-validation can be driven by selfish motives out of a wounded soul, seeking healing by pursuing the affirmation of the world, chasing after being valued, instead of submitting to the counsel of the Healer, Jesus. Instead of choosing the ways of Jesus, they reset their lives, hurt people, show no kindness, show no compassion, and forget the sacrifices made for them, the good days given them by goodness of others. They rearrange their life, focusing only on the deception of the self-deceived, a false narrative that feeds their self-talk with the fake reality of esteem not earned, but stolen by defacing another. Not remembering how they were rescued by the unconditional love of others, the sacrifices of love made for them through all the “flesh out” of their human condition, instead they dole out judgement, harshness and conditional love to the one who gave them goodness, kindness and mercy. This is what happens when you walk in the counsel of the ungodly and do not ask God for wisdom, but reset your life by the deception of corrupt people.

Sow And Reap

You reap what you sow. If you sow God’s wisdom into your life situations, you reap the benefits of that. If you sow ungodly counsel, your reap the sorrow of that.  Self validation at other people’s expense will come back as a reaping of a God flavorless life. Self-validation can be driven by selfish motives out of a wounded soul, seeking healing by pursuing the affirmation of the world, chasing after being valued, instead of submitting to the wisdom and counsel of the Healer, Jesus. Even so, seeking being valued by the world, by hurting others, never truly leans you into a successful life, just the hardship of constantly having to prop up a fake facade.

Reality Of Truth

When we serve no power higher than self, we let our perceived “have nots” speak into our lives and it changes us as we slowly drift away from God, lighting our own fires and walking by the light of a man-made fire that will flame out. The Truth is, there is nothing that God can’t do for us, there is nothing He can’t provide us, there is nothing that He doesn’t know. God is the wisdom, truth and life we need. Listen Up:

The Newness Of God’s Wisdom

God knows us best and loves us most. God’s motives for us are pure, untainted by the human condition and motivated by His great, great love for us. God knows. Ask Him. He will give us the wisdom we need, light our way in the dark, one step at a time. Let go of every preconceived idea, every presumption, emptying your mind of all opinions, assumptions and rationalizations and listen up to God and He will bring forth His newness, His fresh revelation into our life in that way only He can. Every day is new when it comes to God’s wisdom, just like the tides that come in and go out, leaving the beach changed, different, and new. God loves us enough to navigate us into the newness of His wisdom, revealing His truth to us, changing things up in us. Sometimes He speaks things that are so fresh that it leaves us in AWE of Who He is, as our hearts bow in reverence. Sometimes God speaks things that are hard to hear, but as we embrace them, we are purified and changed in the sweetest of ways. Knowing we are holy-holy-His. Sometimes Jesus by His specific discernment leads us to places we think we don’t have the courage or strength to go, yet His Presence is in the navigational wisdom and we know we are not alone, we know He has charted our pathway.

God’s Wisdom Is Timely

Sometimes The Father God’s wisdom is so joyful, we can’t contain it and it bubbles out with light into the darkness of our world, changing everything up. Sometimes The Holy Spirit charts our course and the ride is uncomfortable, not a way we would choose to go, yet the driver in the seat occupied by Jesus, and we know the destination will be worth the uncomfortableness of the travel. The point is that no matter what we think we need to know, we will know purposefully, and timely what God already knows as He plays out His Kingdom purposes and precepts in our lives. We don’t need to know everything; we just need to know Jesus, and make it personal with Him, this is the best wisdom of all, life with God is personal. This is wisdom. God knows and sometimes we don’t know and He is always our enough. So, once again, I ask, do you need wisdom? Ask God! Listen Up And Watch-Wait-See. 1. Thank you for your words of wisdom. When we put our hands to the plow we cannot look back over our shoulders at the world we left behind. If we do we end up driving our plow out of the field.
