Lingering Psalm 1-1

Jesus, Living Word! Dig Deeper In Psalm 1-1

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers.

What Is God Saying To Me Through Psalm 1:1

“I want you to have joy, so follow Me, my truth, my advice.  This is your joy and your strength, as it has been rightfully quoted that the joy of the Lord is your strength.  Being discipled by My Word as we have a conversation together in the Bible, is an amazing way to a blessed life.  My Favor in your life will be so evident as you follow after the path of My Truth. Followship of Me is the greatest way to be guided in My Wisdom, Joy, Peace and Provision. Being found daily in the Word of God keeps you from being tricked to follow after the advice of wicked deceivers. It is a win, win situation for you, as you will never stand around with sinners, or join in with those who mock God, as you stand in followship of My Word.” The Father God

Mockers: A mocker is someone who ridicules or scorns others, often showing contempt and actively opposing wisdom. In biblical terms, mockers are seen as individuals who demean those who are wise and reject moral teachings.

Commentary From Bible Hub On Psalm 1:1

“The “person” speaking in Psalm 1:1 is representative of any person who seeks to live righteously, highlighting the individual responsibility in pursuing a godly life.” My Thoughts: It is my individual responsibility to pursue right living and that is why you will find me at times, with my nose stuck in my Bible having a conversation with God.

“This verse 1 of Psalm 1 warns against adopting the worldview or lifestyle of those who reject God’s laws Set foot” suggests a more deliberate action than walking, indicating a progression from casual influence to active participation. Sitting” implies a settled state, indicating full participation and comfort in the company of those who scorn or ridicule. The We See Progression Of Sin In This 1st Verse Of Psalm 1: Notice the progression from walking, to standing, to sitting. This illustrates how sin can gradually entangle us if we are not vigilant in our spiritual walk.” BibleHub

From Psalm 1:1 What Is On My Heart?

My Prayer: Lord, I really want to be in followship of you. I need not to give everyone permission to speak into my life.  I need the discernment that You can give me in every area of my life. Please check my spirit when I am letting someone or something speak into my life that I shouldn’t be. I promise you that I won’t make sinners my group or my people…I won’t sit in the company of mockers. I hope you show me the difference between sitting in the company of sinners, and being acquainted with them, so that I can tell them about You. I promise I won’t walk on the path of a sinner. Help me to know the difference, between acquaintances and keeping bad company, and protect me, guard my heart in that way only You can. I don’t want to be a person who ridicules, or scorns other people, or shows people contempt. I want to be like You, loving unconditionally, with that famous patient endurance of Yours, that hates the sin, but loves the sinner. Please, Lord God, I humbly ask for You to teach me how to live out this scripture that You are talking to me about today.
