Love Found Us

Merry Christmas To You And Yours ~ Love Came To Us

Gabriel appeared to her and said, “Congratulations, favored lady! The Lord is with you!” 29 Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean.30 “Don’t be frightened, Mary,” the angel told her, “for God has decided to wonderfully bless you! 31 Very soon now, you will become pregnant and have a baby boy, and you are to name him ‘Jesus.’ 32 He shall be very great and shall be called the Son of God. And the Lord God shall give him the throne of his ancestor David. 33 And he shall reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom shall never end!” Luke 1:28-33 Living Bible

Jesus, He Came To Us!

I hope we never get over that. I know I never will. AweGOD! God in the flesh. Jesus felt what we feel, understands us like no other, as He has experienced how we live, laugh, cry and joyfully love. Jesus, His perspective of us, of our lives from birth to adulthood, He got firsthand. He has loved us so excellently. There is no greater love than this Christmas God in the flesh Savior, demonstrated to us on Christmas morning. He Came Here, To Us!

1 Minute Encouragement: It Only Takes A Minute To Be Deeply Encouraged By God

Now, who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. 8 But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! 9 And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in my sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God. Romans 5:7-9 The Passion Translation

True Love Pursued Us

Jesus knows the human condition, He has felt rejection, betrayal, a broken heart, sorrow and loss. In fact, Jesus experienced firsthand being wounded and killed unjustly by the hands of those whom He had loved well, people who mistakenly thought they knew something they did not really know. They judged Jesus unjustly and they were wrong in their assumed accusations. Our Messiah, Jesus, He knew the power of the temptation of the evil one, yet he never succumbed to sin. He was our sinless Savior, our Prince of Peace for all the World, the One Who loved us so much, that He came here, to us. Human beings love each other conditionally and we don’t love each other well, as hurting people, hurt people. We reject each other, isolate and put-up walls that purposefully shut each other out. God does not. God opened His heart wide to us, unconditionally loving us. He came to us, He pursued us. He wanted us. He came here. Hope came here to heal our broken hearts, soul and spirit. We are the reason He came. True Love Found Us.

While they were nailing Jesus to the cross, he prayed over and over, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.” The Greek text implies a repetitive action. He did not pray, “forgive me,” but “forgive them.” As the centurion crushed him to the ground and tied his arms to the crossbeam, Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them.” When the spikes tore through each quivering palm, he prayed again, “Father, forgive them.” And when the soldiers parted his garments and gambled for the seamless robe, again Jesus prayed, “Father, forgive them.” Only heaven knows how many times that prayer was spoken. The Passion Commentary Luke 23:34

Unconditional Love Embraced Us

Our Christmas Savior, He is perfect in all of His Ways, even on the worst day of His life, He stayed steady in Godly Character. The living legacy of Jesus, the wholly-holiness of His life was a complete picture of the purity of righteousness. Even as an Incarnate, God in human flesh, His responses to those who hurt Him, disappointed Him, betrayed Him, were perfect in wisdom and Godliness. He loved us as if He had not been hurt by us at all. None of us are perfect in love, all of us have done things we are ashamed of and yet Jesus, the only “Perfect One”, He forgives us. So why do we not forgive each other? Why do we hold grudges? Why do we put up walls? Why do we shame each other? Why do we continually shove guilt and condemnation in other’s faces through our shunning of them? Why do we defame each other? Why? Because this is not the way of Jesus, this was His way: While they were nailing Jesus to the cross, he prayed over and over, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they’re doing.” Jesus forgave even the worst of injustice, and the sins of the whole world, these nailed Him to the cross. Jesus forgave us, so this Christmas, do what it takes to forgive others, release them from the debt of unforgiveness. Just like Jesus did for all of us, do the same. Luke 23:34
