We Have Many Thoughtful Plans ~ On This Day Lord, Direct Our Steps
Oh, the human nature, how much we are such natural planners. How exhausting it is that we have thought and thought our way through moments in our future, things that may not even happen, we have already worried through them. Some of our plans we have even calculated the route, cost to us and thought through what we think is the best, most comfy way to go. We think comfort, You Lord, purposefully plan for our spiritual growth. You might say we have been overthinking our steps and planning much through the night, yet Jesus, as the sunrises on our day, we wisely are led by Your Holy Spirit to let go of our wants and put our expectations in Your hands. In the long run, You, Lord, know what is best for us. On this day Lord, help us now to lean into Your Sovereign purposes in play for our good. From every moment to every choice, direct our steps, Holy Spirit, we yield our lives to Your navigation.
It is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life, then, remains a mystery! So what man is capable of ordering his way? Proverbs 20:24
