Privilege

I Am Privileged

Through him we have received God’s kindness and the privilege of being apostles who bring people from every nation to the obedience that is associated with faith. This is for the honor of his name. Romans 1:5 GWT

We are a privileged people. The privilege we have is being found in Christ. Christ in us the hope of glory. There is no higher privilege than to be wholly-holy Gods, heart to heart with Him. This God given grace ushered in by the Mercy of Jesus is our privilege. This is how we are privileged. It has nothing to do with our skin color, nationality or creed, we all are privileged. Jesus Christ, embraces us all, all people, we were all created in the Image of God. The privilege of being His, His Family, those who will inherit His Kingdom is for all.

I Am Privileged

But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name— John 1:12 Amplified

We all are so privileged to know God, to walk with Him in that heart to heart kind of way. We can hear His heart, we can think His thoughts, we can mirror our lives after His. We are a privileged people, God’s people. What an incredible life He has given us. In followship of Him, we are navigated by His Spirit and truth through times such as these, where deception is rampant, we have His discernment. We are privileged with Kingdom access to have a perspective of His discernment by the power and voice of His Holy Spirit. Christ in us, the hope of glory.

The very credentials these people are waving around as something special, I’m tearing up and throwing out with the trash—along with everything else I used to take credit for. And why? Because of Christ. Yes, all the things I once thought were so important are gone from my life. Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand, everything I once thought I had going for me is insignificant—dog dung. I’ve dumped it all in the trash so that I could embrace Christ and be embraced by him. I didn’t want some petty, inferior brand of righteousness that comes from keeping a list of rules when I could get the robust kind that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness. Philippians 3:7-9 The Message

To live in a nation that is free is a privilege that can be lost to others, people who pursue human supremacy over people. But, our life in Christ, the freedom we know in Christ Jesus, can never be taken from us, unless we surrender it. We have been set free by Jesus Christ, Who came to us, to bring a Kingdom liberty, a Kingdom supremacy that no darkness of evil could ever put the light God out. God’s Kingdom reigns within us and in Him, Christ in us, we have a freedom that mankind will never be able to revoke. We live our lives in vital-vertical relationship with God and we will be led, navigated by His Holy Spirit. We are loved abundantly and we walk in the light of truth that can never be extinguished by deception. So, we listen up to the voice of God and we live our lives in followship of Him, His way, truth and life.

I Am Privileged

But when the time arrived that was set by God the Father, God sent his Son, born among us of a woman, born under the conditions of the law so that he might redeem those of us who have been kidnapped by the law. Thus we have been set free to experience our rightful heritage. You can tell for sure that you are now fully adopted as his own children because God sent the Spirit of his Son into our lives crying out, “Papa! Father!” Doesn’t that privilege of intimate conversation with God make it plain that you are not a slave, but a child? And if you are a child, you’re also an heir, with complete access to the inheritance. Galatians 4:4-7 The Message

In times such as these, what is wrong is lifted up to be right and what is right is lifted up to be wrong. It is our privilege to be persecuted for following after what is right. Lawlessness is lifted up high and praised as good for us, this violence is no longer a bad or accountable violence, but it is rationalized to produce good out of bad. But we are privileged to have a living hope, a hope that lights up the darkness of our time, as we are heirs to the Kingdom of God, enlightened only by Jesus Christ, the light of the world. We are not slaves to this world; we are privileged to be an heir to the Kingdom of God. We have a bright inheritance, a future and a hope like no other. Our faith is not shaken by persecution, our peace is not stolen by lawlessness, our belief in Jesus Christ conquerors all opposition with the strength of His Truth. The Justice of God will prevail, it will stand firm in the end. We believe.

I Am Privileged

Whatever happens, keep living your lives based on the reality of the gospel of Christ, which reveals him to others. Then when I come to see you, or hear good reports of you, I’ll know that you stand united in one Spirit and one passion—celebrating together as conquerors in the faith of the gospel. 28 And then you will never be shaken or intimidated by the opposition that rises up against us, for your courage will only prove as a sure sign from God of their coming destruction and that you have found a new life. 29 For God has graciously given you the privilege not only to believe in Christ, but also to suffer for him. 30 For you have been called by him to endure the conflict in the same way I have endured it—for you know I’m not giving up. Philippians 1:27-30 The Passion Translation

I Am Privileged

But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ, Philippians 3:8 Amplified Bible

What does being privileged in Christ mean to us? It certainty does not mean chasing after supremacy over others. I am privileged to be like Jesus, to be saved to serve others. Jesus was the epitome of being privileged, but did not cling to His Kingly rights, He gave them up to save others. Jesus never labeled people, He treated all people the same, loved them with His life. To Jesus, all lives matter. Jesus valued the individuality of all people, creeds and cultures. Jesus did not care about the color of skin, to Him, everyone was created equal. Jesus matters and we all have the human condition that needs Him. People were never created to be supremacists over other people, or privileged differently, we were created uniquely, different but similar in that we all bleed, we all die. Our individuality matters, you can only do you well and I can only do me well, we both are God shaped and God designed with our own specific life purposes. God purpose does not make us privileged more than others; it makes us individually purposed by God. We all have a life to live. Live the life you were given in heart to heart relationship with God. You do you, because without you, there is something missing and I do me, because without me, something doesn’t get done. God has a plan for both of us.

I Am Privileged

and to [look forward and confidently] wait for [the coming of] His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead—Jesus, who [personally] rescues us from the coming wrath [and draws us to Himself, granting us all the privileges and rewards of a new life with Him]. 1 Thessalonians 1:10

We all have a human condition that fleshes out from time to time. Lawlessness is just that, human beings filling their need for God with other things. Without God, there is void on the inside, people looking for purpose outside of their God given image, are deceived by the enemy to do his will, to kill, steal and destroy. Finding purpose in a power no higher than self looks like the deplorable action of supremacy. Supremacy has no skin color, it is the pursuit of illegitimate power and control over other people. It is the ugly side of the human condition feeding it’s need to feel purposeful and powerful over others. When you serve no power higher than self, you fall prey to being a supremacist, who tries to feed a corrupt need for power and illegitimate authority that will never be satiated. Turn to God, open your heart wide to Him, receive His forgiveness and mercy and know the true power of humility and meekness, the power of Jesus, the resurrection power of God, which has no end. This Kingdom supremacy is Christ in us, the hope of glory. Be so, like Jesus, serve others, value others and build His Kingdom, which is to come.
I Am Privileged

Therefore let us [with privilege] approach the throne of grace [that is, the throne of God’s gracious favor] with confidence and without fear, so that we may receive mercy [for our failures] and find [His amazing] grace to help in time of need [an appropriate blessing, coming just at the right moment]. Hebrews 4:16

We know a fragile freedom as human beings continue in their quest for illegitimate power over each other. We could lose our freedom in this nation as marxism, anarchy, and lawlessness is on the rise, but we will never lose our freedom in Christ! Christ in us, the hope of glory. If you get paralyzed in the fear of it all in times such as these, where everything stable is being shaken, never forget, always remember God is with us, and never forget you have an Advocate in His Holy Spirit. Fear is basically the father of lies presenting “False Evidence Appearing Real”. If you feel like fear has taken your breath away and you can’t breathe outside of anxiety, get into the Word of God, this is Your Reality of Truth. Look up. Listen up to God first and trust will be your companion instead of fear and hope will soul saturate you.
