Responsibility

Be God’s Goodness To All

“Father God, You are Love! All that flows from You is founded in love. All the plans and promises are rooted in love. We too must work through the lens of love, casting out all fear by surrendering to You. Love takes us beyond ourselves and into the place of serenity. We value our relationship with You over the concerns of personal holiness which puts the focus on ourselves. We become overly concerned about the way we walk and talk and look when we try to clean up our own life. We ask You to work through us as we surrender to You, and give You our all. Amen!” Written By Donnis Steele

Gleanings From Sermons That Feed Your Soul

Grow Through To Live Through

A lot of times we talk about people and we use the words: “we, they, them”. God wants us to use the word “Us”, in that way He did, as He loved everyone, no matter who they were or what title they had. God treats “US” all the same and loved us with His life. Thank you, Pastor Josh Walters for this message, for me, it pinpointed a change needed in me. I need to enlarge my comfort zone and change it up, to be willing to open my life to those who are not “like me”. I need to erase the “we” the “them” out of my vocabulary and start using “us”. I realize that we all must learn, “grow through to live through” the lens of God’s love. The way God loves is not our human way, the way He loves is so foreign to our human condition. We need to change it up. God is speaking to His Bride, exactly this and making her ready for His coming. This is my personal “Sunday Glean” from the message: “Reaching People” by Pastor Josh Walters, February 18th 2019, at Seacoast Church in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. I highly suggest you take some time, set it aside and listen up, to grow through this message:

Message By Pastor Josh Walters

God says that each believer is a priest and king, his unique and special treasure of great importance—a treasure above all other treasures. See also Titus 2:14. The Passion Translation Commentary

My Personal Gleanings

This is a great message that will definitely challenge you to “Change It Up” in your life. We human beings erect comfort zones around our lives. We hang with those we are comfortable hanging with. In this season, of times such as these, where compassion fatigue is at its highest peak in Christianity, we isolate ourselves with a pompous self-righteousness, hoping to shield ourselves from the reality of truth, that our world is a mess and we can’t handle it. Truth is, we can’t. Truth is we are NOT the fixer of this world, Jesus already did that, He already made a way to a perfect future and hope for us. God is the Proof, Jesus is the Proven and the Holy Spirit is the Proof. Where do we fit into this Triune Circle? Who does Jesus say we are?

You are God’s chosen treasure —priests who are kings a spiritual “nation” set apart as God’s devoted ones. He called you out of darkness to experience his marvelous light, and now he claims you as his very own. He did this so that you would broadcast his glorious wonders throughout the world. 1 Peter 2:9 The Passion Translation

Personal Comfort Zones

Jesus did not call us out of darkness to shine up our own personal comfort zones. We have to break free and glow His glory in all the world, to all its people. When we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord, we no longer have the luxury of personal comfort zones. Receiving God’s love through our vital-vertical relationship with Him, we live through the lens of His love. Yesterday, I was reminded of this again of the sacrificial nature of God’s love through this song: “This is how love wins”. We only hang with those who are like us, Jesus hung with criminals and He invited them into His Kingdom. To be like Jesus, we need to change it up, open up our comfort zones and hang with those who are not like us, who need to be pointed to Jesus, the way to the Kingdom of God.

Through our union with Christ we too have been claimed by God as His own inheritance. Before we were even born, He gave us our destiny; that we would fulfill the plan of God who always accomplishes every purpose and plan in His heart. Ephesians 1:11

Dare To Care

Divine Appointment ~ Divine Destiny

Pastor Josh Walters spoke truth to us, God’s truth about this very scripture. We have a divine destiny, each of us does, and when we step out in followship of God, He will accomplish every Kingdom purpose and plan that is on His heart for mankind. We can’t do this by shirking our responsibility and sitting comfortably in our comfort zones. We have to stretch past what our human condition dictates, moving out into the miraculous divine appointments God writes and prescribes on our hearts. We need to let go of the pen and let God write our story, even if it feels uncomfortable, go with it~grow with it.

We are ambassadors of the Anointed One who carry the message of Christ to the world, as though God were tenderly pleading with them directly through our lips. So we tenderly plead with you on Christ’s behalf, “Turn back to God and be reconciled to him.” 2 Corinthians 5:20 The Passion Translation

Accept The Responsibility

Pastor Josh Walter’s message, “The Well Of Reaching People” will challenge you to step up, change it up and accept the responsibility of being Ambassadors of Christ. This is what we were created to be. We were all created in the Image of God, there are no walls of isolation, no compartmentalizing and no exclusiveness. God wants us to “Make It Personal” with all people, developing “Heart To Heart” relationships and being willing to share our story that God is writing. We must be genuinely hospitable, so people feel welcome with us. Let people know they are personally invited by us to join in the fellowship of God’s family, where they too belong, as eternity has been written upon their hearts, as well as ours.

Bridge The Relational Gaps

Not We. Not Them. Yes – US!

No Doubt About It. We have commonality with every human being on this planet. We all were created in God’s Image. Jesus came to us, all of us and ushered in a life transformation that mankind has never experienced the likes of again. Once for all. Jesus changed everything, for everyone. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God and now we all have a future and hope in Jesus, through Him, just as if we never sinned. We all experience the witness and testimony of God’s life as we live daily in the beauty of this world He created. We have commonality. We need to bridge the gap of our temporal disagreements focused in on by our worldly viewpoint. Build a bridge of unconditional love, a Kingdom commonality perspective, board by board, laying a foundation with our fixed commonality, that changes not. Close the gap between we and them and walk over the bridge, extending a hand of “US”, with God’s love which fails not.

Dare To Share ~ Dare To Care

We believe in Jesus~We believe Jesus. We KNOW the truth and there is no doubt about it, Jesus is with us, always. Our Father God is our ever present help, Who never has and never will abandons us. The Holy Spirit of God is our Advocate of truth and is always working for our good and the glory of His Kingdom. This amazing Triune God through His Providential Care and Everlasting Truth, will supersede all of our “feelings” and breach our comfort zones. In the strength and courage of God, as we deeply anchor our soul identity in Jesus, we can and we will take up our responsibility, daring to share and care, and personally inviting people to Jesus. No doubt about it, we will be so, Christ’s Ambassadors.
