Strength

Grateful JOY Is Our Strength

[This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than men [far beyond the limits of human effort]. 1 Corinthians 1:25 Amplified Bible

Weakened~Lacking~ Fallen? What Now?

We think we are strong, us human beings, we are never as strong as we estimate. Actually, the weakness of God is stronger than our greatest combined strength. It is exhausting to strive to stand up in our own strength as our human condition weighs us down in weakness. Sometimes, foolishly, we don’t turn to God until we fall down, completely depleted of the strength we mustered up. Why is that? What is the inner core of our spirituality lacking in? Honestly, I think it is that we human beings have voided ourselves of of an attitude of gratitude, this way of God wisdom, that will wholly-holy align us in God’s strength. At the core of our inner being, thankfulness needs to be the fragrance of our heart, therefore the foolishness of self-dependence is not the passion that lights up our soul and we don’t walk by a man-made fire we kindled, a light that will flame out. We walk in the strength of God, whose way, truth and life, no man can extinguish the light of.

“Do not remember the former things, or ponder the things of the past. “Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-20 The Voice

Shaking In Your Boots?

God is on the move in our world, He is changing things up. When God is doing something new, which is way out of your comfort zone, it is scary and your anxiety level rises and will eventually deplete the human strength, and the calm you are trying so hard to muster up. If God is doing something new, and has asked you to participate with Him in something you feel is way above your pay grade, then He has a plan, one you may see only in part, a plan He has worked out in full. Trust God. God’s wisdom would say this: don’t muster up your talent, ability and strength, no, let go and let Him bring forth the newness of His plan with His power, His strength, His ability working in you and through you. It is not about you, how strong you are, how able you are, it is all about Him, about His strength and power. Get prepared and be readied by the power and wisdom of His Holy Spirit, but don’ be anxious over the new experiences ahead. Stir up in your heart, gratitude. Be thankful that God has given you the privilege of ministering with Him, through Him, and purposefully so, a grateful heart, it will be strong in the strength of the Lord.

You will be abundantly enriched in every way as you give generously on every occasion, for when we take your gifts to those in need, it causes many to give thanks to God. 2 Corinthians 9:11 The Passion Translation

Refocus To A Kingdom Perspective

Gratitude takes the focus off of us, shifts it from our view point of human doings to God’s Kingdom perspective as His Infinite collides with our finite. A human doing is completely will-driven. We deplete our will of strength, trying to be the strong one, the fixer, and the one everyone leans on. We end up right where God wants us, willess. Willessness makes God smile, because He knows wholly-holy surrender is right around the corner and in this surrender to Him, our weakness is made completely irrelevant in the power of His strength and great things happen for our good and for the glory of God.

I know what it means to lack, and I know what it means to experience overwhelming abundance. For I’m trained in the secret of overcoming all things, whether in fullness or in hunger. And I find that the strength of Christ’s explosive power infuses me to conquer every difficulty. Philippians 4:12-13 The Passion Translation

The God Gift Of Gratitude

Gratitude is truly a gift to us from God, it causes us to look beyond ourselves and see the miraculous in the big and little things of our lives. God is at work in the all of our everything. Our self-dependent strength of will can rob us of a kingdom perspective, a viewpoint that trumps our worldly focus and develops in us an Awe of God. Awe of God deepens our heart of gratitude and soul saturates us in His strength. There is an explosive reverb shock wave of Awe when we praise God with a heart of gratitude, it changes up the atmosphere of everything we are involved in.

He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:29-31 NLT
