Ghosting God?
When we get upset with the way things are rolling out in our lives, wave after wave, our soul becomes more and more tense with God. This unfinished business with God, where we “think” we are ignoring Him… hmmmm that is funny, because He is everywhere. We can’t run from Him. So are we “ghosting God”? Not speaking to Him?
Am I just a God nearby,” demands Yahweh , “and not a God who is both near and far away? Can anyone hide somewhere in secret where I do not see him?” declares Yahweh . “Is there anywhere in heaven or on earth where I am not present?” declares Yahweh . Jeremiah 23:23-24
Soul Drift
We have to break the silence, share with God how we are feeling, talk to Him, because if we don’t, our soul is going to drift further and further away from Him and dark depression will set in our soul, and it could root in there and cause a lot of soul death. Isn’t that what our enemy wants, to get into our soul and make it his place of barren wilderness, of doom, gloom, depression, despair, hopelessness and death, so we can’t even hear God if we want to because all of the devils wiles have crowded Him out. So Jesus went over it again, “I speak to you eternal truth: I am the Gate for the flock. All those who broke in before me are thieves who came to steal, but the sheep never listened to them. I am the Gateway. To enter through me is to experience life, freedom, and satisfaction. A thief has only one thing in mind—he wants to steal, slaughter, and destroy. But I have come to give you everything in abundance, more than you expect —life in its fullness until you overflow! I am the Good Shepherd who lays down my life as a sacrifice for the sheep. John 10:7-11
God’s Not Done
Truly, if you have unfinished business with God, stop now and talk to Him. God understands everything about us. God is good. We tend to forget that when things are not going our way. He is not done yet, and God is not rushed. God wants to do things perfectly for us, He wants the best outcome for us, and sometimes getting to that may be a wee bit painful. If only we could patiently endure. If only we believed in Him, when we can’t trust His Hand, that we can trust His Heart.
Sovereign Will – Infinite Love
A lot of times I have said: I can’t swallow this Lord, I can’t swallow your Sovereign Will in play. It hurts. I don’t understand why you are using this method, these ways, they are not what I would have done. He is a personal God, and as long as you don’t get irreverent with Him, you can talk to Him in this way. God’s Sovereign Will goes hand in hand with His Infinite Love, the two are never separated. So when you feel like you can’t swallow the Sovereign Will of God in play right now in your life, the Infinite Love of God is right there to help you do it… remember… the song… “just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down… in the most delightful way”! Hope In God!
Now may God, the fountain of hope, fill you to overflowing with uncontainable joy and perfect peace as you trust in him. And may the power of the Holy Spirit continually surround your life with his super-abundance until you radiate with hope! Romans 15:13
Finish It
Trust me, I have been there, with unfinished business with God, it is not fun. Just talk to Him. He cares. He has a good endgame already planned and is working towards it. Trust His timing. Have a conversation with God, open up His Living Word, it is transformative and it will lead you out of the soul barrenness, hopelessness and despair, to hope, peace, and faith. Finish it.
