Do You Feel Stuck In Yesterday?
Have you ever been stuck in the past, held there by condemnation from the enemy of your soul? Time to shake it off. I am… I am moving on… not going to be stuck in the joylessness of dashed human expectations. I am not sure how to navigate the disappointments and hurts from yesterday, the enemy of my soul would want me to hold on to them, until he can snare me with a bitter root in my soul. No, not going there. Yesterday is dead. I Wish Things Could Be Different. But, I am thankful to not have a bitter heart that yesterday is dead, because I know in Jesus Christ, today is new. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video:
“In every relationship be swift to choose peace over competition, and run swiftly toward holiness, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord. Watch over each other to make sure that no one misses the revelation of God’s grace. And make sure no one lives with a root of bitterness sprouting within them which will only cause trouble and poison the hearts of many.” Hebrews 12:14-15 TPT
Yesterday Is Dead
Today is a new day, yesterday is dead. Because of Jesus Christ, we have a new day, we have a future and hope. If it feels like you are stuck in the same human condition rut, claim your new day, this can be a new day for us as we keep our eyes on Jesus, put all our hopes and expectations in Him.
Stop dwelling on the past. Don’t even remember these former things. I am doing something brand new, something unheard of. Even now it sprouts and grows and matures. Don’t you perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and open up flowing streams in the desert. Isaiah 43:18-19 TPT
Make A Kingdom Impact From Moment To Choice
Yesterday is gone and today is new. Behold I am doing something new, shall you not know it? Don’t stay in yesterday, make a new day with Jesus Christ. We should make the Kingdom our first priority, and may our choices to do something be made out of the desire and motive to make a Kingdom impact. Yesterday is gone, but the Joy of Jesus, renews day after day. He is our joy, He is our daily strength. The mercy of Jesus is new everyday, His strength is within us, renewing us each day, so we are equipped with what we need to be about His business. It is a good choice today, to seek first His Kingdom, to choose the priority of permanent over temporary. I hope we make our lives matter, doing what matters most for God’s Kingdom as we navigate the crooked places of yesterday with the new direction of God’s Holy Spirit, His Truth and His Promises.
Yahweh’s tender mercies have no end, and the kindness of his endless love is never exhausted. New, fresh mercies greet me with every sunrise. So wonderfully great is your faithfulness! I tell my soul, “Yahweh is my abundant portion. I need nothing more. So, I will put all my hope in him. Lamentations 3:22-24 TPT
Has Someone Disappointed You?
Whatever disappointment from the human condition happened yesterday, don’t let it steal your joy today. Today is a new day. People let you down, sometimes they hurt you, make you feel less than, and don’t love you well. But, Jesus never does disappoint and never will not love us well. His abundant love is overflowing out of His heart on this day. Even if our yesterday did not shake out well in the human condition kind of way, we can open our hearts wide to Jesus, and He will fill our hearts with His unconditional love.
“I am your only God, the living God. Wasn’t I the one who broke the strongholds over you and raised you up out of bondage? Open your mouth with a mighty decree; I will fulfill it now, you’ll see! The words that you speak, so shall it be!” Psalms 81:10 TPT
Got A Crooked Place?
Did your yesterday turn into a crooked place where all your dreams and hope didn’t quite work out the way you planned them? If yesterday was a day where you were not loved well, and you did not love well, it probably turned into a crooked path kind of day of being lonely, a day of feeling forgotten. Did you have a day of not being chosen, honored or valued, but being condemned, and ghosted. Or was it a day where you were not the priority, a day you were not valued by human beings, these are all temporal expectations that can cause crooked paths when followed after those dark emotions. Yes, yesterday in the light of a corrupted human condition, could have crooked places in it. But today, the One Who loves you most and best, He is still here, still with you, still for you, and still loving you well. Let go of yesterdays dashed human expectations, soul wounds, and cling to Jesus and He will make those crooked places straight. Listen Up To This 1 Minute Encouragement Video:
“I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron. And I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that it is I, the Lord, the God of Israel, Who calls you by your name.”
Isaiah 45:2-3 AMPC
Nothing New Under The Sun
Human Love, because of our human condition causes us emotional pain and hurt. We don’t communicate well with each other. We don’t add value to each other, we tend to devalue others through our assumptions, conditional love and false accusations. We serve ourselves first and that makes the priority of human love, a crooked place. Human Love, is like nothing new under the sun. We keep each other at arms length with our busy life, this human syndrome sucks all the life-growth out of human relationships. The plan of our enemy is to divide us from each other and to to distract us from Jesus, from his greatest commandments which are to love God first and love others like God loves us. People can never meet our needs, we need Jesus, and we can’t be successful in anything we do if we are not staying in our own lane and serving no power higher than self. With Christ in us, living through us, we are loved well and we love well. This is the new day we should seek!
“Hold on to loyal love and don’t let go, and be faithful to all that you’ve been taught. Let your life be shaped by integrity, with truth written upon your heart. That’s how you will find favor and understanding with both God and men— you will gain the reputation of living life well. Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go. Don’t think for a moment that you know it all, for wisdom comes when you adore him with undivided devotion and avoid everything that’s wrong. Then you will find the healing refreshment your body and spirit long for.” Proverbs 3:3-8 TPT
God Loves Us Well
God, the One Who loves well, the One Who loves most, no matter how hard our night was, as the sun comes up, He’s still here, loving us in all our humanity, extending His new mercy to us, loving us unconditionally into a new day, where He says: Yesterday is gone, this is a new day, receive the newness of God’s Infinite Love.
