A Christmas Choice

A Choice For Jesus Our Wonderful Counselor – Mighty God – Prince Of Peace

“Praise be to the exalted Lord God of Israel for he has seen us through eyes of grace, and he comes as our Hero-God to set us free! He appears to us as a mighty Savior, a trumpet of redemption from the house of David, his servant, just as he promised long ago by the words of his holy prophets. They prophesied he would come one day and save us from every one of our enemies and from the power of those who hate us. Now he has shown us the mercy promised to our ancestors, for he has remembered his holy covenant. He has rescued us from the power of our enemies! This fulfills the sacred oath he made with our father Abraham. Now we can boldly worship God with holy lives, living in purity as priests in his presence every day!” Luke 1:68-75

A Choice To Be Inspired

What inspires you about the Christmas Story? Leave a comment today and let us know. What I love about the Christmas story is the underlying message of “choice”. Jesus chose to come to us, to pay the death debt we could not pay. He chose us. He chose to come to us. Jesus chose the best choice for us, which was Him, His way, truth and life. Now I do the same. I choose Jesus. I choose life. Because He chose it first for me. I will never get over this choice Jesus made. He came here. Christmas always reminds of this choice Jesus made to put us first and in the best possible way, which cost Him much, He choose us. He came to us. He came here. I will never get over this incredible reality of truth.

Now, who of us would dare to die for the sake of a wicked person? We can all understand if someone was willing to die for a truly noble person. 8 But Christ proved God’s passionate love for us by dying in our place while we were still lost and ungodly! 9 And there is still much more to say of his unfailing love for us! For through the blood of Jesus we have heard the powerful declaration, “You are now righteous in my sight.” And because of the sacrifice of Jesus, you will never experience the wrath of God. Jesus came to us. He made the choice for us, to come to us, save us and prepare the way for us to have an eternity with Him. Jesus chose us and He chose us forever. Choice is a huge part of the Christmas story. God chose to do the right thing for His children, His Son counted the cost and decided to come to us, to pay the debt for us, the sin debt we could not pay. Jesus chose us, He chose life for us. Life is an incredible Christmas Choice to choose others above ourselves. Romans 5:7-9 The Passion Translation

A Choice For Sacrificial Love

We make the choice to do the next right thing. Sacrificial love is always a right thing to do, Jesus showed us that. If you read the Gospel of Luke you will know just how well His sacrifices to come here to us, to live incarnate, God in flesh, just how excellently His choice of sacrificial love ended so well for us. In the beginning, Jesus entrusted Himself to human beings to be cared for as a tiny baby, at the end of His life, it was our, human condition, Jesus was betrayed by, hurt by and killed by the hand of. Yet, Jesus, He made the choice, the same selfless choice when He came here to us, He made the choice to love like He had never been hurt and He stayed on the cross in meekness, His power under control, so He could die our deserved death, so we could live in His forever life.

I long for more revelation of your truth, for I love the light of your word as I meditate on your decrees. Lord, never forget the promises you’ve made to me, for they are my hope and confidence. In all of my affliction I find great comfort in your promises, for they have kept me alive! No matter how bitterly the proud mockers speak against me, I refuse to budge from your precepts. Your revelation-light is eternal; I’m encouraged every time I think about your truth! Psalm 119:48-52 The Passion Translation

A Choice To Resemble Jesus

Could our Christmas Choice be that kind of love, resembling the love of God. We can, heart to heart with God, as we stay in vital-vertical relationship with Jesus, we can be soul saturated with His love and we can know the mind of Christ, it can shape our human condition so we can love, like we have never been hurt. Because God can, we can be like Jesus, love unconditionally, we can make that “Christmas Choice” for selfless love like Jesus did as He came here to us. Jesus loved us full out, it was God’s love laid out completely on the harvest field of our lives. Therefore, we can make the choice to resemble Jesus, to lay it all out on the harvest field and then walk off knowing we played well, gave all, the best that we could give unto Jesus. We hope to resemble Jesus, by staying in followship of The Father God, by being at our best, surrendering our all to His mission. We must in times such as these, fight the good fight of faith, resemble Jesus, our Christmas Savior, Who came to us, and gave all, the ultimate sacrifice. Jesus changed things up and ushered in the greatest transformation known to mankind. Be so. Make a choice to resemble Jesus in the all of your everything.

A Choice For Salvation

Merry Christmas! You have gifted me, Jesus with salvation and I choose to receive the victory that began at your birth and culminated in the Cross. There is no condemnation in You, Jesus. I know I do not have to be perfect, there is no way that I can do and say all things right in the human condition that I have. But in You, Jesus, because of what You did, coming here to us, saving us from our sins, I am forgiven. Heart to heart with You, in my precious vital-vertical relationship, My spirit is willing, and my flesh is supernaturally infused with strength, by Your Grace, Jesus, My Christmas Savior. In my vital-vertical relationship with You, Jesus, I receive the Victory of Your Cross, Your Resurrection Victory and Your Victory of Triumph over hell, satan and the grave. I am set free from the condemnation of my enemy, because I am forgiven and loved well by my Christmas Savior, Jesus. Today, I make a choice to work out my salvation and become all that Jesus intends, giving Him total access to my life, so I may grow through being intentionally kingdom cultured by His Holy Spirit. Let it be so in us as we close out this year and step into a new year, may our faith be stretched in that way we grow through becoming like Jesus.
